Second is that both Phil and Fern are from the South West, both have Cornish roots Fern Worked for TSW and The BBC South West, and would know a lot about Phil that he tried to hide from the public. Third is the look that Phil gives Fern just after the 'bit of beef' comment at 1:34, there is a slight look of panic in Phil's eyes as if asking for assurance for her not to go too far. Still it's an amazing moment of TV History.
In so many other programmes presenters would get a bollocking and possibly the sack for laughing how they used to. So it's good to see they were allowed to have fun and I think it was part of the programme, that once a week at least they would have a good laugh.
