@popazz1 I'm glad I'm not the only one not to find Keith Lemon funny - and I DO have a sense of humour! You are so right about the public thinking that they own someone because they are on tv, This Morning has turned into a Jeremy Kyle type programme and not the informative magazine programme it used to be, even the regulars such as Dr Chris have not made much of an appearance, instead we have the likes of Abbey Clancy etc, talk about dumbing down.!!!
@SuperTigger1957 , I only started tuning in when I was forced to take medical retirement & found her beautiful,throaty laugh so infectious,better than any medication.And the way she & Phillip gelled together was spot-on.Holly,whilst I'm sure is a delightful young woman jus doesn't have the same 'joie de vivre' which Fern seemed to have.The only 'up-side' is that she seems to have stopped saying "Oh my God..." at the beginning of each sentence.

These sort of pairings i.e older guy with younger 'model' seem to be the norm for tv in the UK, men are allowed to age whereas women are not, Fern had a lot of experience in tv, I used to see her on our local news where I used to live and she was a very good reporter so she does know her subject! Holly is, I hate to say, there for looks. Fern always seems like someone you could relate to, like a sister.

@popazz1 The trouble is Holly seems to have brought her 'friends' such as Keith Lemon on the show (I'm sorry I just don't find him funny.), I think the gastric band thing was blown way out of proportion, people were taking it personally, she just wanted to keep it private, and its not a quick fix! I just hope that she can find another outlet for her professional skills.
