OMG! Reminds me of a similar event a long time ago I worked at Lewis’s Ltd, a department store. On the Sound and Vision department, the manager was called Mr Willcocks. His assistant was called Mr Dix. One day a customer came in with a problem. When the shop floor worker couldn’t help, she requested the assistant summoned ‘Mr Ball’. True story, and the shopper was mortified! 🤣🤣🤣

We all know where the line is and that when it is meant to be nasty , for ever 1 person being nasty to a gay person there will be 19 defending so why can we just not laugh at the one and close the door on PC nonsence.People are way too sensitive
@samcification it was a button incase they laugh so much they cant speak cos the producers were getting annoyed so it went straight to ad break or competition haha
A button they would press If they started laughing and could not stop. Once they pressed It, two of the production crew would come on and continue reading till they both calmed down lol.
I really miss Fern on TM.And I know she hade her reasons for having the gastric band fitted but she looked so much happier when she had the rounder figure! But I think she's brilliant whatever her size!

@samcification They have a panic button in case Phil & Fern can't carry on, there is a clip somewhere where Phil tests it & 2 guys on the studio floor run onto the set & take over.
@samcification it was an emergency button to press when there is a laughing problem on the show, this will bring out some emergency presenters to take over the show.

It's nothing really... I just felt they lost their rapport when Fern lost weight. It may sound harsh but if you look at all the clips post-operation they have nowhere near the same amount of funny conversations!
