Neil Armstrong takes control and the fuel starts to run out. In Mission Control, flight controllers count down to 60 seconds of fuel remaining - and then 30 seconds.
These are the final moments of Apollo 11's Moon landing like you've never seen before.

I was a high school junior when this took place. I can tell the "youngsters" listening to this in 2024 that the world was much more primitive in 1969 than it is today. As the years go by I am more and more impressed with this feat...
I never would have thought that what is basically a podcast with minimum historical footage and graphics could hold my attention. Particularly when I've watched so many videos on Apollo over the years, and most of the details are nothing new. However THIS series was well done, and reveals more 'behind the scenes' interactions than can be found elsewhere.

If we had really gone to the moon it would be a total cesspool by now. We were in the midst of a deadly war in Vietnam so for kicks we decided to go off world to the moon for kicks, give me a break. We would have destroyed the moon in a decade, had we really got there.

The Apollo Programme was commissioned and commenced in 1961. The war with Vietnam did not start until 1965. Ultimately, one of the reasons for the premature cancellation of Apollo was that was also out of favour with public opinion and like Apollo and the Nixon administration was able to divert some of the funding to the war effort. Ultimately, America pulled out of Vietnam the following year also due to public and political opposition and cost in addition to being ill equipped to fight a guerilla war.

There were six moon landings between 1969 and 1972 and twelve men walked on its surface - that's all. Following the cancellation of the programme neither the USA or any nation on the planet was prepared to fund the obscene cost of further crewed missions to the moon.
You were never born.
The first time we went up, we sent animals to see if humans could survive in space. Remember? But for the moon landings we sent 3 guys thousands of miles thru 3 radiation belts, then thru space to the moon,12 times! Then they brought up a car to drive on the moon, golfed on the moon too. Today they cant even send a guy in orbit around the moon let alone land on it. It's been decade after decade of lies about returning to the moon. Itll never happen.

Flat earthers just don't make sense.
On top of it all, Neil was doing
" Barnyard Math" as he put it while flying the lunar module. There was a reason he was picked to be the first man.
