Nibbs did a pretty good job with the 452! I also have a issue with concentrating so hard I don't see where the impact is if it doesn't land where I expected!
Stunning Rifle great shots, always informative and entertaining. My No5 is turning 50yr old next year and still shoots .2 inch at 50yrds with SK long range. But it's hard to get here in Australia.
Very good Eli!!! I love that old BRNO for sure and the scope too. I think the rifle was just getting tuned into that ammo at the end. That group was amazing with several in the same hole. Also I would count #14 as a 4 and I came up with 75 points on that round. That's really good, but in truth I think you can get into the 80's with that rifle if you give it a couple more tries. That's an awesome rifle and I'd love to have one. I think it's shooting pretty well but I understand the frustration of a very capable rifle not performing to expectations. Have you considered using the regular 5 shot mags or even single loading to reduce a variable? Maybe there's something that old girl doesn't like about the 10 round mags.
My 2nd thought is the last two rifles I bought the action screws were very loose and I didn't catch it until a couple range trips in. I think the vibration during shipping loosened them up. If this gun was shipped the action screw torque might be something to check too. Stay with it. Hope to see some more of her soon!
Take your hat off or turn it around and try it again. Your hat may be riding the ocular lens/eyepiece. (just my two cents). I had a ocular lens/peice that moved slightly sometimes when I was shooting.

i have found using pistol subsonics in a rifle tends to push their velocity into the transonic zone and create errors.
May need some new bait on the hook, says PA!
How about using your Lithgow to shoot this challenge? I have not seen you using the Lithgow lately.

That Barrel is temperature sensitive. Find the right ammo that can mitigate the difference in temp.

Ret tourqe the action screws that wood stock might be compressing and the screws are working their way loose.....,just an idea
It seems that rifle scope is old Tasco and i had lots of problems with Tasco in the past, i think problem is scope.
