    Thank you, Harriet, for making your pencil lines a bit darker than you normally do. I know it is not the ideal for watercolour but is ever so helpful for those of us just wading into the watercolour waters. I second the comment that I so appreciate your real time painting and not speeding it all up.

    My son learned to walk with a purple-ish/blue pansy in his tight little fist. He held it so long it stained his hand-but man, did it ever help him walk. My parent's happened to be in the back yard near the raised planters on the large patio, that my Father, a Georgia Tech Engineer had done all himself. It was joyous!!

    Lovely Harriet! I adore pansies. I finished my fist tulip from your New Botanical book and it came out great. The greatest help so far is showing the color mixtures.     I enjoy watching you create! I admit it is a tiny bit intimidating but I am in the process of ordering your three books. Go big or go home, as the saying goes.     I've just tried ! Very easy to follow video, thanks a lot ! Will do it again on cotton paper for better fusion, and to improve the shape of the petals. What colours are you using ? Mine look a bit dull comparatively 😢

    I love this one! Have used it to make a Mother's day card, thank you. One question about your use of sap green: My sap green is a paler, yellower, colour than your gorgeous leaf colour. I am using Cotman series 1. Any suggestions please?!

      Ah yes the cot man isnt as green. Add a little dark blue or even a tiny bit of black to intensify your green

    Thank you Harriet, really enjoyed tis one. I noticed you dont tape your paper down. Is that because the paper doesn't get too wet so doesn't buckle?

      Pretty much, yes. And because I’m filming, I’m a bit restricted with how I can sit to access the paper so I might want to turn it round at times

    Do you go back to erase the pencil marks that are still visible? Or should I simply relax about that on mine?

    Lovely painting but please note , pansies have 5 petals and it is important to show that. 2 petals at the top ,not one. Otherwise you can’t say the painting is botanical.
