Interesting video, though I was hoping you'd get into the tractor more! Diesel/electric sounds like the technology that powers train locomotives! If so, it could be quite a break through! Hope you do more on the tractor after you've run it for a bit!!
This opens up a lot of possibilities. Running electric carts and planters vs hydraulic would be super efficient. Possibility of having manure tanks with drive axles and grain carts with driven tracks is possible. Not sure why there isn’t a convertible manure tank/grain cart out there. As ballast is such a common thing it would be possible to have significant batteries as ballast to smooth out power delivery and reduce diesel consumption. You could even have the tractor on Grid Tie standby during offseason peak power demand as networked virtual power plants to make revenue when its not being used. Interesting times. Partially electrifying combines must be in development, get rid of the belts, chains and hydrostatic drives.
OMG ,I think grain prices need to increase by 250% or we will only be working for the machinery companies !!!! they are ramming technology down our neck, its great but ,.... is it affordable ????????????? grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ....its outa control !!!

Electrical is everywhere in ag,solenoids for hydraulics, actuators, fuel injection. Fully electrical is not possible, and won't be for 50 years. The grid can't handle passenger vehicles, much less commercial trucking, and ag on top of that. More systems to fail (wires can break in hidden places, hoses show leaks),not as smooth controls as hydraulic, more expensive to repair . Farmers say they want right to repair(as they should),but buy higher optioned equipment..what is next, combines with sunroofs? Hybrid technology is great for fuel savings, but if the higher initial cost is greater is it worth it? We also know it will not last near as long as a big bud which is easy to repair, but nobody is rushing to buy older technology . The problem with subsidies, they skew real data and they evolutionize into new data ...obscuring the original data line. Unfortunately pandora's technology box has been opened.
