Wow! Wow! WOW!!! This never gets old and never will!! The Goddesses of Rock really do this song justice. They put their souls into this performance and I get chills every time I listen/watch. It. is. amazing. Love these ladies! 😍
the battle of evermore is not an easy song to play, they are the musicians to pull off a great cover of this zeppelin classic. Very good work Ann and Nancy!!!!!!
The ultimate powerhouse of both writing and performance. From start to finish. As an instrumentalist myself, I've rarely seen anyone with Nancy's far-ranging musicality. Always everything's there.
There has never been, nor will there ever be, a female rock vocalist as good as Ann Wilson. And even now, in what - her 60s - her voice is every bit as good as it ever was.
I am not a fanatical fan an oxymoron I know, but I saw them live 2 years ago in Las Vegas and I have never heard anyone belt out songs like Anne in that age, most vocalist deteriorate with age.
Nailed it!!! Heart just does amazing covers of Zeppelin! Nancy plays as good as Jimmy Page ever did, and Anne has a Robert Plant quality to her voice! The harmonies were spot on! What a pair!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
i love how much joy they still get out of playing after all this time, not many bands that have been going this long still have this much enthusiasm and excitement about playing live, just brilliant
I've seen Heart many times, going back to 1980, but never anything this magical...What an incredible performance! Thank you Annie & Nance! We love you!
what CAN"T Ann and Nancy do, especially in concert?? They just keep getting better over the years..Heart truly is an "everything" band, like the Beatles, and Led Zeppelin. Ann truly is the queen of rock and roll!! Right up there with Janis Joplin, too bead they were not in the 60's and Woodstock and all that!! I am glad they are here now, but they would have totally blown minds at the Monterey Pop Festival, Fillmore West, Avalon Ballroom, Winterland, San Francisco in 1967 scene.. and Woodstock ..
Amazing cover, as always the Wilson sisters knocking it out of the park with the skill and sound. But watch the look Ann's giving Nancy towards the end as they time their outro - that's sisterly love, pride in their skill, and, I think, a little bit of amazement at how they're doing this so well still. Love these two!
Was there that night and can say it was truly magical. Have seen heart play bunches of times over the past 35 years, but this night was really special. Not to mention they freaking nailed it.
I am in awe of these women! Ann's voice has held up spectacularly through the years--she is SUCH a BADASS! And Nancy is right along side her in her guitar chops/vocals. This Led Zep cover is phenomenal! Okay with that said, the thing that I would like to point out about the Wilson sisters as well is that THEY GIVE IT THEIR ALL--EVERY SINGLE TIME. They do NOT dissapoint in live shows EVER! There are so many older artists who are tired of their own material & just phone-in their performance when playing them. For example, Elton John all but makes it painful to watch him sing/play "Your Song." I feel like he HATES it, is so TIRED of it....and I understand why---playing it for 40+ years but he makes it so evident that he doesn't want to be playing it. This CANNOT BE SAID FOR HEART! They perform "Barracuda" just as energetically as they did in the 70s-80s-90s & on. This truly makes them a fan-focused band. THEY may be tired of playing/singing it, but they know their audience desires to hear it. That makes them the consummate professionals & I respect them now more than ever. YOU ROCK, LADIES!
I love all the comments here. ANN and NANCY WILSON are so incredibly talented ,its not funny. These two beautiful ladies have forged a musical path where no other two sisters have done. Not only are they unique, the are AWESOME., What other sister-duo is out there and have done what they've done???
There's a young sister act...Larkin Poe. Descendants of Edgar Allen Poe, so I read. They're awesome! They're a fairly new act, as far as RUclips. They have the skills to be big! Never know if they will be. Depends on who the music big shots want to be big. Anyway, they're good!👍😎🎸🎶
Saw ya in 77 and 78 ,,, AWESOME both times,, and saw ya at Superdome Day of Rock n Roll,,,, This is outstanding,,, Perfect,,,,glad ya are doing fine after all these years, ya both look and sound Great,,, i'm a Conservative,, but I still love ya
This is one of those rare instances where a classic Zeppelin dirge is not only done justice, it is one-upped. Heart still has it alright, good God wow! Love hearing them rocking the mandolin and guitar combo like they did when they originally covered this song, simply amazing shit to say the least!
The greatest, sister, song writers, musicians, ever!! Loved them since 1976 and their first album, Dreamboat Annie, when I was a junior in college, I was in love with Ann Wilson, my fantasy girl!! Keep rocking ladies, till you can't walk!!
I've come back to this several times........it's always been great that they are LZ fans...and this is a fantastic version of such a beautiful Zeppelin song. The magic of the Wilson sisters!
I love Heart when they are playing rock music. But not when they play pop. Drives me crazy, hearing a perfectly amazing rock act being wasted that way.
I was there in the 3rd row and saw this performance. Am going again to see them on March 30th in Penn's Peak. Have been a fan since 1979 and first saw them in 1980. They just keep getting better and better. True masters of their instruments. I love them for teaching women that you can do whatever you want on stage, as long as your music stands on its own.
this is so good. nancy's mandolin playing was one of the things that first drew me to heart 40 years ago. i remember, she'd play it live, even when a studio version didn't have it. i'm glad i got to see those early years of the band.
danielleNJ I was there that night also and even though it was so hot I thought I would die....it was incredible! I was the one screaming..." I love you Nancy!" At the top of my lungs every time it got a little quiet. Lol!
quite frankly stairway is not that great a song I am huge zep fan I would have preferred they did this or immigrant song not that they did not do an amazing job playing it
I just saw them last night at the Santa Barbara Bowl. Thank you for posting this video so that I could relive some of the moments from last night. So incredible! They play Zep like no other.
Unbelievable live performance. I remember watching them do this song for the Singles soundtrack premiere back in 92. They were in their sixties at the time of this performance and there is ZERO difference in quality or passion, all these years later. They look amazing too. True legendary icons of music like no other. I was an 80s kid and was hooked after I heard Alone...been a fan ever since.
I’ve watched the Kennedy Center Honors version at least 20 times. The greatest cover of a Zep song ever! The arrangement: strings/choral/band is just perfection. And John Paul, Robert & Jimmy’s reactions are priceless and moving.
Why Ann and Nancy's names aren'ts listed on the top of BEST female rock and roll singers - hell - the best ANY gender of rock and roll singers - is a total mystery to me! I was lucky enough to live in Great Falls, Montana, in the mid-to-late 70's. At that time, HEART was just getting started and they played at a local club in Great Falls, called the Red Barn, My boyfriend and I NEVER missed a night when these ladies were performing! They filled the house every single time and rocked the place until closing! Many years later, while going to school in Little Rock, Arkansas, I was privileged to hear HEART sing - again - this time after they had become famous. I was stunned - very pleasantly so - at how AWESOME they still were. THE BEST LIVE BAND I HAVE EVER HEARD! Hell, one of THE best bands I have ever heard!
+Michael Craig They are left off of many lists. Rock critics and the people who vote in polls seem to like guys better than women. Not that there is anything wrong with that.
I may be wrong, but I think the first time they did this song was the opening of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Absolutely blew everybody away. And it was perfect!
Was at that concert! What an amazing rendition of Battle of Evermore! These women can rock. Thanks for posting and hope they your again together next year! Would go back in a heartbeat!!!
I've said it before...but...Ann Wilson could sing the alphabet, and I'd be happy! She (that voice!) had quite an impact on me since way back in the 70's.
Holy shit. I'm not epileptic but I felt I nearly went into a epileptic fit near the last refrain of this amazing tribute. Heart, Ann Wilson, Nancy Wilson, with Jason Bonham, all I can say is T H A N K Y O U! I never got to see led zep in concert and you made it as close as it could be in watching this. Thanks Jim Powers for posting this!
Wow! Wow! WOW!!! This never gets old and never will!! The Goddesses of Rock really do this song justice. They put their souls into this performance and I get chills every time I listen/watch. It. is. amazing. Love these ladies! 😍
When Ann Wilson launches into the "bring it back" part, it's like the gates of heaven are opening.
Very seldom at my age does a song give me chills anymore. This one did. This version easily equals the original. Simply outstanding.
the battle of evermore is not an easy song to play, they are the musicians to pull off a great cover of this zeppelin classic. Very good work Ann and Nancy!!!!!!
The Wilson sisters are amazingly talented.
The ultimate powerhouse of both writing and performance. From start to finish. As an instrumentalist myself, I've rarely seen anyone with Nancy's far-ranging musicality. Always everything's there.
No one does Zeppelin better than Heart. Keep on rockin' ladies...
Have you heard Steve stefanowicz? He plays a set.
I saw him with " too many cooks"
No question. Ann and Nancy made it seem possible.
I agree with you 💯 %
It was Led Zeppelin who inspired them to become a group. Ann and Nancy Wilson are badass, indeed 😀👍
There has never been, nor will there ever be, a female rock vocalist as good as Ann Wilson. And even now, in what - her 60s - her voice is every bit as good as it ever was.
She is absolutely awesome. Only vocalist that should be allowed to cover Led Zep's songs!
I'll beg to differ on this one. No female vocalist could touch Ann in her prime-note the word prime-she is well past that at this point.
That may be a stretch but she is still great.
I am not a fanatical fan an oxymoron I know, but I saw them live 2 years ago in Las Vegas and I have never heard anyone belt out songs like Anne in that age, most vocalist deteriorate with age.
As with all singers, their range lowers with age. Some seem to have their talent fade as they age. This two are still powerful rockers!
I think that Heart should be the only band Allowed to cover Zepplin
I agree
Pretty much agree. However, Great White did a great cover of Babe I'm Going To Leave You.
I think you're right!!!
@Teresa Monks - TOO LATE ... there are already MILLIONS of Led Zeppelin covers out there.
And they all suck in comparison. It's really that simple.
Two of the most talented ladies in Rock.......love them both
Nailed it!!! Heart just does amazing covers of Zeppelin! Nancy plays as good as Jimmy Page ever did, and Anne has a Robert Plant quality to her voice! The harmonies were spot on! What a pair!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
At the end of the song as Ann & Nancy looked at each other they knew they nailed it. And they did. Great suff!
Don’t they always?
High five moment, there.
These two are perfection. Just keep getting better the more they play.
I am truly blown away.
i love how much joy they still get out of playing after all this time, not many bands that have been going this long still have this much enthusiasm and excitement about playing live, just brilliant
Hear that sound? That's unmatched. Can't say enough how much I love them
its official! only Ann and Nancy are allowed to cover Led Zep
In addition, they are two of the hottest women in rock history!
and Dread Zeppelin,,,,they do fantastic covers
My husband and I were there for this. It was AMAZING.
I've seen Heart many times, going back to 1980, but never anything this magical...What an incredible performance! Thank you Annie & Nance! We love you!

I was at this show and it was one of THE best concerts I’ve been to and I’ve been to a ton. ❤️
Holy crap. What an awesome cover and performance. Their vocals are just incredible.
One of my all time favorite songs well performed by two of my favorite musicians. Really enjoy this.
Was there that night and can say it was truly magical. Have seen heart play bunches of times over the past 35 years, but this night was really special. Not to mention they freaking nailed it.

Right on
Well written
Agree 💯!!!
I can't believe that I've been a fan of these ladies for decades, and they just keep getting and looking better.
Let's see someone top this. Exactly 40 years to date of playing some of the best Rock an' Roll & it sounds as good as ever.
brother, very,very well put!
What an incredible version of one of my favourite Zep songs. Robert and Sandy would be proud. RIP Sandy 😃
I love all the comments here. ANN and NANCY WILSON are so incredibly talented ,its not funny. These two beautiful ladies have forged a musical path where no other two sisters have done. Not only are they unique, the are AWESOME., What other sister-duo is out there and have done what they've done???
Ann and Nancy are great but Jean and June Millington of Fanny got there 1st and were/are great despite getting little recognition
ABSOLUTELY THEE BEST!!!
There's a young sister act...Larkin Poe. Descendants of Edgar Allen Poe, so I read. They're awesome! They're a fairly new act, as far as RUclips. They have the skills to be big! Never know if they will be. Depends on who the music big shots want to be big. Anyway, they're good!👍😎🎸🎶
@@74dartman13
Totally agree! Love them!
@@PJ_the_tortie yep! I love their videos where it's just the two of them. No special effects, just raw talent!👍😎🎸🎶
Whoever took this video did a great job! It's a big hit on RUclips for the last couple years.
Yes, they kept the camera on the Action where it belonged !
Saw ya in 77 and 78 ,,, AWESOME both times,, and saw ya at Superdome Day of Rock n Roll,,,, This is outstanding,,, Perfect,,,,glad ya are doing fine after all these years, ya both look and sound Great,,, i'm a Conservative,, but I still love ya
ps,,, that ending gives me chill bumps, and what BEAUTIFUL smiles

The magic of the Wilson sisters!
Incredible, ladies. Ann is the best female singer in the history of popular music, IMO. And Nancy is so talented, and just an eternal beauty.
Heart has always been the Female version of led zeppelin.
Every song of heart always had a zeppelin feel to it.
Barracuda is basically Achilles Last Stand.
I love Heart when they are playing rock music. But not when they play pop. Drives me crazy, hearing a perfectly amazing rock act being wasted that way.
How can you not adore these two? Such a powerful and mysterious song that delves deep into the medieval lore of zeppelin.
Wow talk bout nailing a song to perfection. These two ladies are not only beautiful but have endless talent.
Ann's always been the best female singer ever, and Nancy is incredible as always.
they never let you down been a fan since I heard them on the old grey whistle test in the mid 80`s so much talent, love em to bits
Absolutely incredible! I'm sure the Led Zep boys appreciate the justice Anne and Nancy do to their music.
Gosto mais desta canção com elas do que com o próprio Zep!
They are two very talented ladies.
Chilling these ladies are a class act, love their Zep covers but this one hits home hard, this song has always been very special to me, "fantastic"🤘🏻
That was great really enjoyed it.
Thankyou .
2 Rock Goddesses covering a song written by Rock Gods. How appropriate. Tears every time I see this.
No one else dare touch this song. Brilliant!!!
Motion carried!
This is musical awesomeness.
Big Thanks to whomever filmed this.
WOW!! HOLY FRIGGIN' SH!T. That is one BAD @ass cover of Battle. Last two minutes were all bumps!
Heart ❤ totally killed it 😱
This truly touched my "heart" just as the original piece by Led Zeppelin
I can’t get enough of thi Perfect cover of a Baddass song. We all remember certain time, being blown away by Evermore. Bring it, Bring it, Bring it.
Thank you Ann and Nancy for carrying on the legacy of the mighty Zep. No one else could have pulled it off as well as you.
amazing. amazing…… AMAZING! that same August, in Concord, NC, I was standing that close to Nancy Wilson hearing them do the same tune. A moment.
this is so good. nancy's mandolin playing was one of the things that first drew me to heart 40 years ago. i remember, she'd play it live, even when a studio version didn't have it.
i'm glad i got to see those early years of the band.
Love it when they do Led Zeppelin
I was there that night. I got chills from that song that night and still do. Them girls NAILED it. Lest not forget Sandy.
Goosebumps, all up and down my arms...
I was there and yeah I had goosebumps.
danielleNJ I was there that night also and even though it was so hot I thought I would die....it was incredible! I was the one screaming..." I love you Nancy!" At the top of my lungs every time it got a little quiet. Lol!
Oh my, it's like dueling sisters. They're both the best!
Nancy is always the adoring little sister, it's so wonderful to see each time they perform.
Nobody can cover Zeppline like Heart.
Perfect choice for the climatic Stairway to Heaven at the Kennedy Center honoring LZ.
Great White ➡ With Jack Russell !!!
Check it out , if you can find it :
" Live At The Ritz " and " Great Zeppelin "
quite frankly stairway is not that great a song I am huge zep fan I would have preferred they did this or immigrant song not that they did not do an amazing job playing it
Nancy just has such a beautiful voice ..i just love em both soo much. Royalty of rock

So much talent - too much for one song, even this one. Amazing. Thank you.
This is so good it is ridiculous...they too are an amazing talent!
Stunning beauties! Their voices are even more beautiful! What an amazing cover!❤
Watching 2023,
Fantastic 👏👏👏👏👏 so cool.❤
Catch their performance of Stairway To Heaven at the Kennedy Center Honors.
+Michael OBrien (hardwareMike) That was an amazing performance !! The ending when Jason looks up was so poignant !!
I’ve watched the Kennedy Center Honors version at least 20 times. The greatest cover of a Zep song ever! The arrangement: strings/choral/band is just perfection. And John Paul, Robert & Jimmy’s reactions are priceless and moving.
« Alegria » is the word I have in mind for that blowing performance! 🤩
Amazing! Perfect duet! The dreamy yin & yang of Ann & Nancy!
I'm still in Awe.... ! love you girls!
Why Ann and Nancy's names aren'ts listed on the top of BEST female rock and roll singers - hell - the best ANY gender of rock and roll singers - is a total mystery to me!

THE BEST LIVE BAND I HAVE EVER HEARD! Hell, one of THE best bands I have ever heard!
rock goddesses like the rock God's led zeppelin
This has got to be my most favorite song of ANYTHING I know. They covered it beautifully
+Kay Omholt-Montague They ARE listed in the top few of all time.. what makes you say they are not? I thought that was well understood by all..
+Michael Craig They are left off of many lists. Rock critics and the people who vote in polls seem to like guys better than women.
Not that there is anything wrong with that.
absolofreakinlutly!
Yep... I've been in love with Ann and Nancy for 40 years. Stuff like this is why!

Fantastic performance! There have never been better women in rock music than the lovey Wilson sisters.
