Great video! I had no idea the drama behind seasons 3-5 and how Games was basically less organized and professional, I've only heard about the Spumco drama
i noticed that the Games Era Episodes Revolve Around Deli meats, Examples Being... Egg Yolkeo Magical Golden Singing Cheese Cheese Rush Days Weiner Barons Reverend Jack Cheese
Another reason I think could explain the Games era being grosser with the executives greenlighting stuff with more ease, is that the comfort zone had been expanded. You know, kind of a snowball effect. The shocking stuff wasn't as brand new as a little earlier, so it might have became a little safer territory than it felt before
13:08-13:25 It looks off on purpose because Ren and Stimpy (in the context of the episode) are faking their confrontation. Ren is pretending to be a mouse so that the family they are scamming (in this case Mr. and Mrs. Pipe) hires Stimpy to catch the "mouse". In no way are they actually trying to harm one another, but are in fact putting on an act to make sure their scam is successful, and it almost works because Mr. and Mrs. Pipe are dumb enough to believe the ruse.
In untamed world, for reasons likely very illogical, ren and stimpy entering the cave is cut out, in galoot wranglers, the galoots reacting to stimpys chicken drumstick car is cut out, in travelogue, the entire scene of the guy who vomits on ren is cut, in big flakes, a scene of ren eating his ‘sundae’ is cut, and the one I forgot is in pen pals where ren and stimpy cheer when the white flag is lifted; also in a friend in your face, a shot of the parasites looking at rens tower at the end is cut
@@jackeggleson4102 The reason for most of these cuts is because the DVD's used the Spike TV edits. These scenes were cut in order for Spike TV to air more ads. Even the theme song was cut down to just the title card when R&S would air on Spike.
there's a story where a young Kurt Coban wrote the lyrics of the show to John. this is not official and since Kurt is dead, we can get information from him.

Back in 1992 when I seen man’s best friend before it got banned I remember my friend saying that’s a drink when hearing George liquor‘s name. And I also remember back in The early 90s The guy in his underwear on Stimpys fan club was not cut until later airings I was too young to understand what it meant but it was still hilarious The DVD also cut out the rubber knife scene in Stimpys Fanclub. All those cuts kind of ruin the show a little bit for me. Somewhere I heard was mentioned the bloody head fairy was based off of Nickelodeons Doug cartoon but when the character says a bloody head and it’s a Jim dandy sound like he was referring to Jim Jenkins. I remember in the early 90s when I first seen the episode Royal Canadian kilted Yasmin seeing crossed out swearword but hearing the characters saying we will probably go to fart but the quality wasn’t good enough for me to tell what the word was but it was hell
And also I witnessed these airings of Ren & Stimpy we’re on Nickelodeon on our old cable net work we didn’t have VH1 we didn’t have MTV those other channels were said to have airings of Ren & Stimpy we only had less than 38 cable channels back then another episode that disappeared with man’s best friend was dog show for 10 years I search for that on Nickelodeon then it finally aired on Spike TV 2003
On the haggis wants hair episode The test of generosity he was to give 1/2 of his penny to a clam wanting some busfare back to the ocean it’s a wee price to pay Shiny! Scotsman the buses are not running today try flying throws the clam flying through the air becomes naked and laughing in embarrassment the Scotsman stops laughing looking back at the leprechaun as he is filing his nails and replies quietly such generosity and taking more of his property. Another part they cut out which was funny is the Scotsman was down a well seen a scary monster while his house boy sat on the well plugging the exit The Scotsman had to travel through his butt and out in the boys mouth firing like a gun which was hilarious
The rubber knife scene in Stimpy's fan club episode. After Stimpy gets after Ren for writing a nasty letter back to Little Johnny. Stimpy replies for shamed wetting the bed is nothing to be ashamed of (Paused) You and I still do it Ren grabs Stimpy's mouth and looks around (paused) Ren (in a sad slouched position) replied you’re right Stimpy Little Johnny needed me and I laughed at him I don’t deserve to live! Ren handing Stimpy a rubber knife replied here (tearing open his fur on his chest) Cut me! do us all a favor Stimpy getting ready to stab with the knife thinking a little bit looking at the knife then tossing it back (knife hits someone off screen) Stimpy then replied no Ren there won’t be no leading of blood today I think you learned your lesson Stimpy (spinning Ren around back to his desk) Ren replayed your right Stimpy then stands up straight and puts his hand on his heart and replies I Ren Hoek here by to uphold my presidential duties.. it’s not exactly and I wasn’t 100% sure if the kids name was little Johnny? thanks for uploading the video it’s always fun to learn about The history of shows that I grew up with.
20:41 I think you wanted to talk about everything in one video, in my opinion I think a separate video would have been better to focus on censorship. Your video entertains me, because I like how you spread more with various little things that happened behind. Although it would have been good to leave some videos aside like the one I mentioned, because you can extend more from the spumco era to the game era, good job, i hope see you make more video like that ^^ in the future with other cartoons ^^

I'm glad I could fill you in.
People don't talk about the Games era very much. That's sad. I'd love to hear their perspective.
Ayy, a fellow G-fan!
i noticed that the Games Era Episodes Revolve Around Deli meats, Examples Being...
Egg Yolkeo
Magical Golden Singing Cheese
Cheese Rush Days
Weiner Barons
Reverend Jack Cheese
I liked both eras. Because I was only 5 when the show first aired, some of my more fondly remembered episodes are from the Games era.
Another reason I think could explain the Games era being grosser with the executives greenlighting stuff with more ease, is that the comfort zone had been expanded. You know, kind of a snowball effect.

For censored episodes not mentioned:
Big flakes, travelogue, galoot wranglers and untamed world are all censored on the English dvd
Really? what was taken out?
In untamed world, for reasons likely very illogical, ren and stimpy entering the cave is cut out, in galoot wranglers, the galoots reacting to stimpys chicken drumstick car is cut out, in travelogue, the entire scene of the guy who vomits on ren is cut, in big flakes, a scene of ren eating his ‘sundae’ is cut, and the one I forgot is in pen pals where ren and stimpy cheer when the white flag is lifted; also in a friend in your face, a shot of the parasites looking at rens tower at the end is cut

Volumes all maxed out but I still have trouble deciphering the words. :(

I love this show. My favorite episode is the one with the salve. Ren finally uses it in the end😂🥹

Ren and stimpy dump for the original restored cuts.
Aloha Höek is the weakest episode. Im surprised that made it out.
I think the sick little monkeys book explains the spumco work better.
