    at $50 a throw for NS sliding band hardware, I'm thinking about venturing into this. Don Schroeder has been convincing to do it for years! I keep thinking I'd practice on brass tube since NS tube is unobtanium.

    Awesome work, great video. I want to do something similar. New to rod building but i have a machine lathe. Not quite as big as yours.
    How does the sliding ring secure?
