After 28 proper bikes, the last four being 3 BMW GS's and a Rocket 3 GT, I am super impressed with my new TMax techmax. I would not have believed that a maxiscooter could be such a complete package. Comfort, suspension, handling, power and relaxed high speed cruising ------ outstanding.
Imo the tmax techmax 2021 is better looking than the 2022 model but still if i choose one I’ll choose the 2022 model because of the new tft display and new handlebar.
Yes it does - I've owned the last 530 model, an X-Adv (which replaced the TMax) and a Majesty. Out of them all, I miss the TMax. The XAdv bored me to death, the Majesty was a good maxi but needed a bit more ooomph and cornered as badly as a Harley. The TMax was a fantastic tourer, and in the bends it handled as good as sports bikes. It's not a sports bike though, so all the videos ridiculing its 0-100 times just don't get the point... if you're into drag racing, buy a Haybusa. But otherwise, the TMax will do it all - and do it very well.
I was going to ask about the distance from a$$ to feet on the front footrest but... I'm about the same size as you and seems like a model for larger people. Not like I have the money to buy this beauty anyway.
The front end has gone down I. The looks department imo. If they brought the colour on the front end down more like the older model then that'd improve it. The shiny black Brough up the front fairing makes it looks weird to me...
Does it have an IMU for ABS and TC? And Yamaha could have done better to implement Android Auto and Apple Car Play instead of Garmin, where you have to pay fees for his navi.
It is almost excellent but yamaha left out Apple CarPlay sadly,Honda also could do it on scooters they already have the technology on the at and nt models.
I'd like to know more about the tmaxs rear suspension. How it functions in comparison to the Bergman and the two Hondas. From what I can tell, the tmax has a swing arm and uses a belt to drive the rear wheel, the Bergman has a gear set that runs from the cvt to the rear wheel and the Hondas use a chain to drive the rear wheel. That's about all I can see from video reviews. I understand that keeping weight off of the rear wheel is advantageous for handling quality. I'm hoping yamaha picked the best for the tmax. Also the overall size comparison between the four bikes. The Bergman really looks like a person is riding on top of a small whale.
Paul, check out 49ccScoot on RUclips, he has an excellent video series on the maintenance of the older TMAX. While it might not answer your specific question, it does show the excellent engineering that went into the TMAX.
In some aspects it is better but in some not 😁 tmax is 15 kg lighter = better for city worse for highway 👌🏻 both be similar agile cos seat at the same hight and the same wheelbase i quees similar weight distribution 👌🏻 forza will better take bad road at least at front cos have biger wheel at frpnt however it look like…. Comapre to tmax at least from side 👌🏻 on eye i think ergonomy be better on tmax 👌🏻 breaks in both be good on 100% 👌🏻 dct gearbox in forza give less drive train losess than cvt gearbox in tmax and forza have more power and more torque what even better at lower rpm 👌🏻it is 15 kg heavier but if you calculate power to weight ratio with 90 kg drover pn both and you include biger drive train losess in yamaha than you get 173 vs 138 hp/tonne for forza so 1,25 stronger punch if tmax accelerate from 100 to 140 km/h in 7 sek than forza do the same in 5,6 sek around so yea performance at straight forza have better 👌🏻😁 yea at end what somebdoy like more if im must choose from those 2 i would take tmax cos of specific preferences 😁👌🏻and frame in both give probably similar feeling so stifnnes i quees in both be great in this aspect cos both have very strong frame 👌🏻
There is one thing need for getting this the best scooter of the world believe me 😉 an thats is the J Costa XRP with lightest rollers in the set and an arrow exhaust. You will be way faster than that bulky forza chain driven..😅
Do you think the Yamaha Tmax Tech Max is the king of maxi-scooters? Lets us know in the comments section!
Might go with X Adv

outstanding.

That TFT display is outstanding!
Exactly my sentiment. Maybe the 2023 version will have improved design?
@@lawrencelim1214 most likely not they keep the same model for a couple of years most of the time
would be missing my xmax spacey trunk. tho the rest of the beast looks amazing
Hi, how are you . I’m 5.4’’ am I to short for this moped?! Thanks or also can it be lowered without affecting the home of the bike. Thanks
Looks like a beast... lovely looking scooter
5:34, how is the TFT display in bright sunlight while wearing polarized sunglasses?
Outstanding 👌 Best tft on the market!
Can this bike be lowered , couse I’m 5’5’’ , if can’t be lowered won’t be getting it. Thanks
I think the king is the Burgman 650.
Is it available in the USA
How much does this scooter cost?
It looks like the tft on this is heading to the new tracer 9gt also. A bike now that I am going to buy as that tft is gorgeous

Great scooter 👌🏻

Any Model T Max is a great scooter to own I bought mine for $2,000 in Australia I've owned it for 4 years and have never had a problem look around
Still can't get in Canada, only the XMAX, and even that hasn't been for very long.
those are on completely different levels mate. xmax is just a big scooter
I bought this bike but I've come to find out that the heat grips are very poor they don't get hot at all.
Then I’ll go for the Xadv 750
Thanks
Looks epic but is it £2500 better than a forza 750???
The front end has gone down I. The looks department imo. If they brought the colour on the front end down more like the older model then that'd improve it. The shiny black Brough up the front fairing makes it looks weird to me...
How are heated grips "cool"?
Surely that defeats the object?
Used in the term of being good, rather than temperature related.
@@BikeMatters
No?
Really?😂😂
The heat grips are absolutely rubbish, I have this bike.
Thanks for the review, what is your height?
5' 6
It is and has been since the year 2001
Does it have an IMU for ABS and TC? And Yamaha could have done better to implement Android Auto and Apple Car Play instead of Garmin, where you have to pay fees for his navi.
Agree, it's a shame it doesn't have free navigation options as standard!
It is almost excellent but yamaha left out Apple CarPlay sadly,Honda also could do it on scooters they already have the technology on the at and nt models.
yh I agree with you there!
I love yahama ❤❤❤ love for raiganj india
YAMAHA
power grey~!!!
Doesn't matter. Not sold in North America. They only sell their smaller, not highway safe scooters here.
Sad!
This or the Xadv

I owned same ,I prefer Honda Forza 750
how tall are u?
5' 6
It's a good machine but it's grossly overpriced
Meeh i think forza 750 is way better

Tmax wins in every way except top speed
Tmax is better than 750 Forza. It has cruise control/belt drive/electric screen. Forza has none of this.
There is one thing need for getting this the best scooter of the world believe me 😉 an thats is the J Costa XRP with lightest rollers in the set and an arrow exhaust. You will be way faster than that bulky forza chain driven..😅
@willewinky hi could u pls explain to me the benefits of belt over chain...I am ignorant in these matter's 😢. Thanks.
This scooter should have had more power or at least the fuel consumption of less than 4L/100km. The Burgman 650 feels better value than this
The Burgman hasn't been updated since 2015. It's discontinued
Expensive as fuck
🎉😂
Too expensive by far
Tmax TechMax 56Occ 2O23
Or
Honda Xadv 75Occ 2O23
Forza does not have cruise control, big yikes decision from Honda.
I’ll go for the Xadv
More like the king of over priced scooters.
