I really don't understand why reviewers constantly complain about the interior finish not being soft-touch or "cheap" in many places. It's a Hyundai.. not a BMW or Mercedes. It's an economy car, so why would you expect a plush interior? Also, comparing interior trims to a Toyota Camry is not at all fair, these cars are not even in the same class.
Bought mine in January. Decent acceleration 0-45 mph. Acceleration rate drops off after 45 mph. Smooth ride over bumpy roads. I'm averaging around 30mpg in town. Seats comfortable.
Bought this car. Its really not an ugly car. I got it in red. I really got for the warranty. My old car blew the transmission. I was tired of fixing crap all the time. Now I can spend the weekend drinking and chasing skirts.
Why do you care about the key design?!? Its purpose is to start and stop the engine that's it. This is good looking car and is very reliable, comfortable and roomy also fuel efficient.
Hello all, Thank you for showing us details about Elantra. I have a 2013 and I drive it about 3000 miles per month. I am very happy about its performance, good gas mileage and engine responds when it is needed. The best gas mileage that I have had is 56 mpg on a highway after driving 45 miles, my average mpg is 42 mpg in the same highway, and my worst is 18 mpg. Have a good day everyone.
ummm... I'd expect that from a 2103. 56? MPG? is this a hybrid? a standard 1.8L can never make that number. average is close to what I get but you have to drive it for 200 miles with no stopping. 18 in cities. maybe. depends on how much stop and go.
Koryn Nocchi Hi, It is a regular Elantra. Actually, on the highway my mpg was 58mpg and 56mpg when I arrived to my house. I have pics to prove it. You are right, mpg depends on the driving conditions and driver's foot.
I bought this year and package New. Won't win races, but quick enough for daily driving. Still happy with my Elantra. Some negatives include A pillar blind spots, daytime glare obscures radio/back up camera display on the dash, and no real time MPG display. Does have average MPG display. My daily drive is in town on narrow roads so I leave steering in sport mode for tighter control. On interstate I change steering to normal or comfort.
I like your reviews. I got a new 2015 Toyota Corolla. It DOES have a rear fold down armrest with cup holders. You mentioned it did not in this video. Just a small correction for everyone's information. Keep up the good work Cameron.
my car needed a new motor at 80,000 miles, anyone else have a 2015 with that problem? The dealer wants me to pay for half of the fixing of that motor, even though prior years and the symptoms of my car all align with a piston slap and a ticking sound from the motor of the same issues that prior years have had. There was a recall from what I can see on the prior years of this car for the 1.8 motor and many like me have had to take it to the dealer to receive a new motor.
PartyWolf11Official for one, you can’t even spell weak right lol. Fitting the dodge owner stereotype I see. And two, that dodge will die much earlier than any Elantra out there. Enjoy your limited power advantage while it lasts.
in the middle-east we have electric seats and great key design engine start and stop button i dunno why u guys have the suck ones im not really sure if this is the highest class
+keshtaTUBE Why anyone would want a push-to-start button is beyond me. Do you not understand how easy it is for criminals to steal a car with such a system? Might as well just leave the keyfob on the front seat.
Well im going to tell you right now that this looks just like the 2013 that i have. From the outside to the inside everything's the same.Very good vehicle very stylish on the outside but the interior sucks mainly the quality of the seats. They stain VERY easy and its very hard to clean. The moment we drove off the lot there were stains on the seat.other than that no complaints very good on gas i can go 7 days without filling up
@@Ajdolo2 😄 yeah. I ended up fixing the RAV4 i have. But the parts & engine i got put in it have Zero warranty Soo... I'm still car shopping 😓 trying to stick to Toyota, Honda, Hyundai or Kia... Any recommends?

Maybe complain of it is a Honda Vtech, but it's not. and 150 MPG? like range or per gallon? If so that's way out of reach. Hyundai made this a compact sedan for personal transport not Racing. I'd expect the GT edition or a Integra, but an Elantra Gls? Nope.
I know all of this. Most of it I learned at my town hall when I was getting my drivers license. Second. I agree with caring for it. It is just a little more devout than it should be. Where are you from anyways?
im fine with it...in fact everything about this car is fine, its simple and functional without all the buttons cramed in one place like the focus and previous versions of the elantra did

Jacob Becomes Israel 1000 dollars? you do realize that you don't have to go to the dealer for an oil change? You can go to a good small garage. also you need synthetic oil which is more expensive. Guess what? Most cars require synthetic oil today, including a 2012 Honda civic, so you are going to spend money regardless of what car you buy now. and it also helps that I am a mechanic and work at a shop and get my oil and parts for cheap, and labor is free haha
Sasha Puhalo OK the tuneups are 1000. The oil changes are "only" 300. "You do realize" that most people who have C Class Mecedes take them to the dealer. fact.
Jacob Becomes Israel not at all. If they have warranty they might take it to a dealer if they have free oil changes or if the warranty doesn't cover small shops as a good place to maintenance thus voiding your warranty for big repairs... but most warranties are small shop approved also, but after warranty most "Mercedes, bmw, audi specialiced " shops are busy with these cars. I would know, I work at one of these shops. A good synthetic oil change with genuine filter will be 100-150 depending on the car including check up on everything. 300 at the dealer but that is your choice.
My mom just got the 2015 elentra limited. The best car on earth.

The key on my '16 GT works great. It's never been a problem.
I don't like the cheap carpet and thin seats - no lumbar support either.

Chevron, Regular fuel only. when I used the next higher grade my mpg went down drastically.

The Hyundai Elantra and Elantra GT where designed by Peter Schreyer who previously designed for Audi!!
Great head hunting job Hyundai/Kia!!
2015 and it's still has the old key from 2001. You think that it would the new flip key from the sonata and Santa fe
This is the basic model. The limited has a proximity key.
