    One crazy stat -his all format combined ave is 21.42 which is lowest in history of cricket who has taken 350+ wkt. Its get more impressive when you factor that he is bowling in t20 era where every thing in limited format is for batter with flat pitches, more inside fielders, small boundaries, 2 new ball etc etc.... Also, he has this average against absolute best because he gets rested vs lower ranks team. His 70-80% matches in last 6 yrs are vs aus, nz, sa, eng, pak

    India has produced many world class cricketers not due to coaching or facilities but rather due to the absence of facilities and coaching. Sunil Gavaskar attributed his ability to keep the ball on the ground to the fact that when playing as a kid, if the ball was hit in the air, the batsman was considered out due to lack of space in alleyways and city streets. Same with many who have to play tennis ball cricket because an actual cricket ball was too dangerous to people around. Indian batters are good at playing spin because they grew up playing on bad surfaces.

    Apart from Indian left arm swing bowlers performance in England in 2007, I as a millennial cricket fan have always dreamt of India having such a pace attack. All our five wicket hauls from pacers would have too many slogs and caught in the deep. These days our pacers can nick off batters to the slip as well as hurry them up for LBW or bowled. Imagine how many younger players would be inspired by this pace attack.

    • @ramakrishna9041
      @ramakrishna9041 8 месяцев назад

      True, I think you are talking about Ishant sharma when you say that all five wicket hauls are mostly catches in the deep. Ishant sharma though having played 100 tests is overrated according to me, except in his initial days of career, he was never terrifying to the batsman, all Ishant Sharma can do is to bowl a bouncer so that batsman hits it and get caught, he rarely got a wicket through clean bowled.

    Bumrah is the most complete all-format fast bowler currently in the world. The fact that he can use his limited over skills like slower balls at will in test matches makes him 10x more lethal than the next in line amongst the current crop of fast bowlers. I pity those people who used to troll him when he was injured after bowling the most deliveries by any Indian seamer ever across all formats. May those people rest in peace (or burn in hell) after seeing his success.

    Those who criticise him on icc ko are clueless bunch. In most ko, our batter choked the game not bowlers. Only in 1-2 instances ,they perform poorly which is normal because we play 1-2 icc tournament every year now. in bumrah case,he had flawless 2 odi wc which he played 19,23. His only average performance was in cl 2017 final & 2021 wtc final as individual, even in that pujara dropped the catch in his first 2 over. During his bowling,most no of has catches dropped of any indian bowler in icc ko .Also, captain uses him totally different than other bowler because of his versatility to bowl in middle & death over. He get used more as a defensive bowler which is why captain generally gives him very few over to bowl with new bowl where batter try to see him off. He is our engine in fast bowling. When he plays our fast bowling looks great but medicore in his absent.

    Bumrah is the reason i started watching our bowling more than batting. Virat, Rohit , MSD have their bad phases but i didn't remember a match where Jessi is bad i.e. For me number of wickets are not important but to create those chances are more important. He really a dangerous bowler in 2023 CWC final just watch over 8-10 Head doesn't know how to face him. Head was lucky that day else Bumrah was latterly on fire. His test match bowling was on another level. His bowling mind is some where to best cricketing Mind MSD his bowling plans are really up to point. 16th over in current T20 final is very crucial as Klassen was roaring but they struggled against him.
    I will rate him more than Virat, Rohit and some where little above MSD as even MSD have some failure in his later stages.

    I just saw collection of all of his test match wickets. He was hitting that 6-8 metre length in around 80% of his wicket balls,fuller length around 10% of the time & remaining else was all luck. Bad shots,full toss mistimed,slot deliveries,edging wide of off stump deliveries and blah blah blah.
    I think he just keeps it simple and straight. Consistency rewards him.

    What makes him the best is his mindset.
    Always focuses ob what he can do, always has a smile on and gives it his best.
    Doesn't go searching for titles or validation, just tries to do his job.
    Age will take him as well, and then there will be a lot of ridicule and trolling.
    So cherish him while we have him at his peak.

    Hello Mr. Kimber,
    Could you make a video on why Bhuvneshwar Kumar needs another chance in the Indian team (given his recent domestics performances) as well as a video on what the IPL and PSL will have to say on World Cup selections?

    • @ramakrishna9041
      @ramakrishna9041 7 месяцев назад

      Bhuvi is not performing well in IPL, he is the same Bhuvi anymore that we have seen before few years ago. We have more upcoming bowlers like arshadeep singh who is a better choice. Bhuvi can never come back to international cricket again.
