I think he tried to keep himself from passing out so he tried to get up quickly but right away the adrenaline wore off, the pain kicked in and his body couldn’t take the hit. He eventually passed out.
Concussions are scary.
That was me at 6 years old playing backyard baseball. I can only imagine a professional baseball swing....ugh. props to that man for taking that ball to the head and still be coherent. Bravo.
This is why every player on the field should wear a helmet
Trainer: Are you okay?
Pitcher: I’m fine Uncle Paul, remind James and Rachel that the chocolate cones are 2 for 99 cents.
Trainer: 👁👄👁
I don't even watch Baseball why is this recommended
God damn.......now I know what my face looked like when I lost my memory a few years back holy shit.
Don’t use Gods name in vain
@@Hituvuvuvu goddam it why not?
That's why I love baseball, class by the fans and other team!
The hang time on that ball shows how fast it was going. Amazing.
If you’ve ever been hit by a baseball at that speed, you know how he feels. Your mind goes blank, and for a second or two you seem to go unconscious. It’s absolutely terrifying.
- "How many fingers am I holding up?"
- "There are four lights!"
"Eight birds flying in circles."
Damn spoon heads.
That’s all they had to take a player with a head injury off the field? A groundskeeper’s vehicle? Sitting up? Head and neck unsupported? Was this in 2014 or 1914?
He got hit in the head with a baseball he didnt jam his neck against the wall, it was a blunt force injury not a collision between 2 players the head and neck support was not needed
The chances of paralysis from that type of injury are extremely low. Im speculating here but he most likely refused the collar and backboard if they did suggest it to him. He just wanted to get off the field.
He's lucky to be alive. Thanks youtube for the yearly recommendation of this video
So his consciousness was sent to another dimension??!!! That’s just wild asf
Pitchers hat should have some kind of shield inside of it.

Why am I seeing this now? 4 yrs later I hope he's okay
At least I know why youtube could think I wanted to see this in 2019.
I was actually in the stadium when that happened, I was younger and wasn’t paying attention and thought it was just a pop fly wondering what happened. Crazy to see it now all these years later
He was definitely out on his feet
I’m here today pitching ESPN 4 1/2. I hope you’ll invest. What is it you ask? Highlights 4 1/2 years late. Not the night of. Not the next day. No. 4 1/2 Years later.
Miller Theory 5 years for me.
RUclips Algorithm: A highlight’s a highlight!
It hit his head so hard it turned from a lime drive to a pop fly
"Oh, that's awful. You never want to see that happen. Let's watch the replay. Now, in slow motion. "
THAT BALL HIT HIS GLOVE AND BOUNCED OFF AT THE LAST SECOND, HE WAS NEVER HIT IN THE HEAD!!!
Thank God, he is okay.
