Fuck me, this guy is shit hot, I was watching a channel called Vintage TV & the Nut Rocker was played so decided to see who did the original version but I'm delighted to discover this guy doing a brilliant cover as I love piano.
Compared to what exactly..? The sound of artillery-shells or like explosions going off in the distance? This has to be one of the worst arrangements that ive ever heard in my entire life. Im just amazed at how bad it actually is, thats all haha. But to each his own 😂 (im writing this in a joking manner, returning to this clip after a few years and yeah, its even worse than I remembered) Someone just has to say something right? (lol)
Robert Wells' performance of Nutrocker is superb. Nutrocker originally created by B. Bumble and The Stingers - a group of hotshot session musicians from Los Angeles. They had big world hits with Nutrocker and Bumble Boogie in 1962. Bumble Boogie was created by Jack Fina, circa 1946. See his amazing version on RUclips with Freddy Martin's Orchestra. Based on classical piece Flight of The Bumblebee - by Rimsky-Korsakov.
It would have been superb.. if the nutrocker was superb to begin with, I think what were stuck with is some weird sort of, I dont even know what to call it. Goes to show you how much sound, timbre and balance actually can matter, or be working against you... haha. Fascinating stuff
The American way to present ... well, what? A red grand piano, cheese-smiling musicians and a grandstander behind the keys who wouldn´t be able to perform something classical with good classical musicians. He´s Liberace V.2 - that´s all.
You're going to have to explain that. All I can see is a Swedish piano player with (presumably) some very talented Swedish backing musicians playing to a Chinese audience.
have been loving Robert Wells for many years. love every show of his. love his smile. love his passion.
Robert är bäst i hela världen älskar att titta när han spelar underbar musik och få mig att må bättre ❤
Amazing. Thank you for posting. Wells also has (IMHO) one of the top three or four versions of Bumble Boogie too. Fantastic musician and showman.

What a fantastic performance of a true classic !!

Its so bad in fact (it almost seems like "trolling the audience" tbh. Because RW isnt a completely useless pianist after all)
Excellent
I fell in love because of this song - hey Chris A
Был на его концерте - СУПППЕР !!! Хочу еще раз сходить!
There are TOO many versions of this one out there, BUT BUT BUT this is great....... thanks for posting.
B. Bumble's is still the original and the best

You can't beat the original.

B. Bumble and the Stingers were actually studio musicians fronted by Ernie Freeman on the piano.
Nut Rocker is also classically based - on the March from Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Ballet, but you probably knew that already.

GSWIG DENMARK HELLOW "BOBBERS " OUT THERE.. FEINSMEEKKER DA CAPO.
I wonder if the wrong notes were deliberate? I prefer the original.
fantastisk.
Looks like PF light show
no se puede negar lo bien que toca el piano, pero prefiero la version de emerson, lake and palmer......
This is good but would be better if it was played on a Bosendorfer like B Bumble did
Tack Monica
i know this guy
Is that Peter Griffin on percussion?
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Who is Robert Wells?
The guy playing the red piano. Why do you ask?
@@davebarclay4429 Never heard of him. That’s why I asked.
@@iangascoigne8231 Presumably you also never heard of Google ...?
@@davebarclay4429 Presumably you’ve never heard of not trying to be a smart arse, or sarcasm.

And that's what it looks like when dk's play wow.
Sofia Källgren
It doesn't get much whiter than this, folks! And i don't mean that in a good way...
