This video is truly a work of art in many ways. The cake itself is decorated beautifully. Not many cakes are decorated so expertly like that anymore. This video is supposed to be innocent and calming, however simple details such as lighting and music choice CHANGE THE ENTIRE VIBE for some people. This is proof that the human mind is a strange place. We are conditioned to feel a sense of fear and dread, from a cake decorating video. What the heck! The creepy part is unintentional, but can definently be recreated in other places. Who knew, true horror is usually more unintentional than intentional. A true work of art really!
I think the reason everyone is getting „horror movie vibes“ from this (apart from the music) is the lighting that makes really stark long shadows and the darker colour palette in general. It seems like it’s sunset or just the end of the day, which give it this „calm before the storm“ feeling. Ps I love the cake!

Here in Mexico there's a bakery that makes cakes like this and the frosting is unbelievably sweet and crunchy. I'd say it's because the sugar crystalizes, but it really makes the experience much richer in my opinion.

this is a very cute cake! however, my brain associates the lighting and music, when placed together, with a horror movie - it feels like a scene or part of a montage of a 50s movie about a serial killer. it's strange because these components would be fine separately, and this cake is extremely adorable, but when they're all placed together at once it feels eerie
댓글들 보니까 주 감상평이 예쁘다/무섭다인데 나는 무서운 쪽임.. 크림 색이랑 노란 필터같은 조명까지 빈티지로 너무 잘 잡아서 겉모습은 무슨 딱딱한 완구용 모형같은데 부드럽게 뭉개지고 보는 내내 위화감 들어서 소름끼침... 색 빛 구도 삼박자가 안녕 난 케이크고 내가 널 집어삼킬거야 하는 느낌. 특히 글씨 중간부분 자를땐 소리지를뻔했다. 화질 480으로 보면 ㄹㅇ더무서움 케이크는 정말 예쁜데 화면으로 봐서 그런가 .. + 소리 거의 줄여놓고 봐서 조용하다 했는데 댓보고 키우고 들어봤더니 얘도 공포영화재질이야 노이즈쩔어 아ㅠㅠㅠ(기절)

This video exudes a creepy/horror yet nostalgic vibe and while everyone is freaking out I find it comforting. It reminds me of those times when I could hang out with my grandma's house before my mom picked me up and we went to our own house, and normally she started yelling at me for no reason. Honestly, the music made me think that this channel is very,very old.
