When he tried to tell the people that he was the reason why the base powered off but was not able to was very, very relatable.
If I was there I'd ACTUALY let him SPEAK and then yell at whoever is interrupting him, damn kid needs a promotion for that! XD
The fact the 2 hover tanks was there could have told them the rookie found the powerplant and we back him up.

I mean, if they're IS heavies to get clan lights operational that can be a good deal.
We need more fan made balletletech/mechwarrior animation like this. Personally I rank it as my favorite sci-fi universe

It's the Inner Sphere. We almost never pay someone if we can kill them about it instead.
I don't think any amount of C-Bills would have made them give up the mechs, clan invasion or not.
Bravest Heroes of the Inner sphere there ever were.

Holy Timber Wolf, this was fantastic to watch! My dad introduced me to the Mechwarrior universe back when I was just a kid in 2000 with Vengeance, and I've been a fan ever since. And this right here brought me the biggest smile to my face in recent memory!

Really fantastic animation. I enjoyed every second of it. I really hope this becomes a series. I can see myself getting attached to these characters, especially the rookie. It'd be fun to see all the missions he goes on, trying to rise through the ranks. Definitely going to subscribe and hope for more.

I appreciate you making the models of the mechs (like that patrolling crab earlier on in the video) staying true to how they were depicted in the original battletech manuals from the 80s and 90s. Good stuff.

Top notch, the 'pitstop' bit with the nervous look away was really well done for animating without dialogue to get the scene across.

This was great! The graphics were a bit of a throwback to old MW games. The voice work and acting were terrific. It reminded me of the old Roughnecks series which I loved. If there was a series of this, I would watch it.

I was a little disappointed that the lasers were not constant beams and didn't use the mechwarrior 4 sound effects, (best sound effects) but damn am I happy to see somebody doing these!

oh damn, earthsiege was awesome. I only ever played the shareware/freeware whatever version. but it was good.
Proud owner of the first three games release for free by the current owners. Still trying to get missionforce cyberstorm still. Careful with the free version of starsiege though, no music or most of any important character voice lines n the game with jank character profile pictures. Still runs mostly fine though

a base assult would be very difficult if they have both air support as well as turret defences. although, i do wonder why the turret generators would be outside the base (although i wonder if thats just a trope from the franchise as a whole lol).
bringing out the beers gave me strong starcraft terran campaign vibes "thank god for cold fussion".
ps.
man i love the stinger (and the wasp). i wish this little "unseen" mech gets more attention (would love to have it in mwo).
If it was in the base it would paint a big target on it and if a stray shot hits said generator and causes it to go offline, bye bye Caliope Turrets (and Laser turrets if it doesnt have a backup power system)

Always love coming back to your mechwarrior animations. Shame arent more people on youtube that do animations like yours. Only handful, always halo, star wars, warhammer, and few others. ALso want see fan animation of star wars and battletech walkers/mechs and ground forces going at it lol

I just stumbled across this today.
One, this is nice, it brings to mind the early seasons of Red vs Blue.
Two, it makes me want to dust off my technical readouts and get my Battletech minis into my active painting queue.
Three, is this a Machinima animation, and if so what game did you use for a base, if not that's even more impressive and opens up a gigantic world of possibilities for more.
Four, it's been a long time since I have read anything Battletech related, but I am certain one of the variants for an Inner Sphere vehicle specifically mentioned that it was converted into a beer wagon by a particularly rambunctious lance of Mech pilots.

Assigned to Reed's Roughnecks mercenary unit these Badgers have all weaponry stripped out in favor of equipment converting them into a mobile entertainment venue and nicknamed the "Booze Cruisers" by the mercenaries they support.
I wouldn't mind a MechWarrior 2 remake with these stylized graphics. A blend of retro and new.

Great animation and voice work, but some of the story telling parts, attacking the Crescent Hawks to save the Inner Sphere, heavy mech parts to fix lights, the almost nonexistent defenses of what powers the fort's defenses without any kind of back up...just made my head hurt.
