I have 2 Avatar Stu 12s on a jp63. I have the opposite problem. I need more power. Lol. I'm getting ready to dump them for an 18. Not sure which one. I have a 390 amp alternator with 200ah of headway in an 09 maxima. Wasn't easy fitting it all. Lol. Your system looks great man. I know it sucks moving shit around but what I have found to sound best in trunks is port firing to the side with the box all the way back. The all the way back part may not matter with the sub face up though. I'd really try moving the box around. You may have already fixed this , I just realized this video is a few months old. Also most guys that face the port forward seal off the trunk.
True, I’m not ready to do that but yeah I made a mistake in my calculations, the box was built for a 6” aéroport not 8” lol but yes I messed around with it and it does sounds best firing to the side.. and get anything that fits the budget can’t go wrong with that
Im thinking of upgrading to Svl got the STU 15 atm been hooked up for 5 months on a 6k it bumps it gets stinky but it takes it all day in slot port box’s sounds good
From what I see everyone commenting, they prefer the stu series over the SVL
Enclosure is why its lacking in output and also getting stinky. Enclosure is everything
for one you have the port facing into the car, have it loading off ya truck and that will increase power handling and cone control. And ya box tuning might be fucked up

i was doing hair tricks with a single stu 15 on a 12k and it took it so i bought a few more i think your wiring may be a little off ive done the same thing to my wifes fi 12 and thought the same thing turns out it was my wiring so check it and good luck with your build
I dont tune low at all, I always go for a musical build and that box I had made a mistake tuning the port, I changed it out the very next video but nice, it started taking the 6k after awhile though
I have a Taramps smart 8k per I have the 15” SVL D2 im tuned at 30hz in a 8cuft flat fall net internal . Two of the SVL 15 two smart 8k no official numbers. I can run them pretty hard before they get warm
what are you clamping on them?
@@AJOSUEon a burp on the amm1 12478 per sub, on music between 5541 and 7942 my voltage stays between 14.2 and 14.8. I’m rising to 2.6 ohms from a 1ohm configuration

Sounds like a ground loop problem with the whinning noise . Get a.ground loop isolator
Supposed to be wayyy louder throw that box away start over your way to high and the port is so short there's no back pressure inside its over working itself slot ports are a lot more forgiving

I don’t think you need to build another box you just didn’t measure it right I have that same style box and mine is thumping as far as it getting hot I’m not sure you didn’t really say much on it but the coils smelling I’d say you got way to much going to it and nothing to cushion it I saw you have the bass know all the way up it wasn’t banging hard at all you need to tune the amp as well
I tuned the box for a 6” port I had a 8” and it was just a whole lot of power, but it took it as soon as it fully broke in.

So let me get this straight. You have a 3000 watt rms subwoofer and you're clamping 7000 rms and you don't know why you can't make it through a song?
I know, I was just stating or asking why do many ask to over power a subwoofer while this one couldn't take rated, once I rebuilt the enclosure I war giving it 4.7k at 2ohms but once fully broken in it took it like a champ

a 6k on a single sub unless its like a team series is a pretty far stretch for most subs. unless your super careful on the crossovers.
Trust I figured with the impedance rise I would be good, but unfortunately looks like that subs can’t take rated power very well
@@AJOSUE like I said a dc6k is a far stretch for most single subs bro. You need a team series if your gonna run a single sub build. That 6k can damn near push and 2 15s out there besides some 4 inch voice coil subs and team subs.

From what I remember, I was clamping about 4 k after rise using my 6k on the avatar Stu and it was still to much power for the avatar sub. Would get stinky after a song and just couldn't handle anything over rated power for to long.

Switched the box a couple days later and ran the sub for awhile and got 2 Hcca102
