When Max (Leo) is in sit, he does go with you. He is still sitting but what ever distance he was from the vehicle. So he most likely be up in the air.

That will be an excellent second base. I had never tried to build there - just imagined I couldn’t. But it could be another roof base very easily. Re the tomatoes, I always harvest them for seeds cos seeds are excellent trading items. Re the military boxes, sometimes the boxes the zombies drop have zero weight instead of 5 or 6 kgs per box. If it shows zero weight, it’s basically not really there and will disappear when you try and move it.

35:22 The reason you couldn't stack the looted military component box is because the infected one had a weight of 0.0Kg and the one you had was 5.0Kg. The infected seem to carry glitched boxes. You can't use them for building, but I think you can trade them for stuff.
