Spent a few seasons running these 4900 balers before actually selling agco products for 10 years. Even with the new Massey balers today the design has hardly changed from 40 years ago.
As tall and wide as possible just as JohnDeere recommends if you can afford those kind of tires and also gauged out wide on axles looks awesome and gives shorter turning radius it’s all about that look and stance only a true hot rod enthusiast bad ass mother fucker farmer rock and roller would know about . We know who we are?
We had a 2090. I loved that tractor but hated the power shift transmission. It stayed broken more often than not it seemed like. I wonder if that tractor has the same. It sounds like a power shift but must be more sturdy than the one we had.
I've noticed that small tractor, they used to make them like that in Serbia/Yugoslavia, named IMT 539 (licensed by Massey Ferguson), my family has one of those and we use it for baling, not as big and impressive as these monsters but it bales for over 20 years strong.
Ah... Memories, er um.. nightmares!! Ran our 4900 on a 2294 for about five years. Did some very steep stuff!!! Some creative approaches to getting the windrows in to the baler. Got a bigger tractor! 3394, it's still about 50 horse power short for most of our hills, but the tractor weight to baler weight ratio is much better!!! The 2294 in the video is white, with Case-IH logo, so.. 1985??? Ours is, was supposed to have been painting red at the dealership, but wasn't.. our 3394 is red, it's an 1986.. the six speed power shift is much better than the 2294s three speed!!
Hey. We don´t really know how much Hp it has, because it don´t have them at 1000 pto rpm. I tested it some years ago and test guy said that when he pushed it to 900 rpm, he could feel the power :-) Easy 250+.

Makes it up because it has almost twice the horsepower than the Case - the MF has 226 horsepower, the Case only has 116 horsepower, and it still almost made it up the hill.
@Mr Sunshines that you just said plus the fact the bale chamber is empty, and theres a bale sitting on the end of the walkers, would lift the drawbar and back axle enough to loose traction... Is that why the 35 ferguson was on standby😀
Even the Massey with 250 HP is struggling to get uphill, so I don't understand why some people in the comment section are "dizzing" the Case 🙄 And YES - I do know this is not merely about power getting the baler and the tractor up the hill
You guys are all full of it talking about things you know nothing about I just love the tractors all of them and I am a farmer and I own some I have been around some of them and some I never operated but still in these videos they are exactly how I would set them up .The wheels the tires the exhaust the whole thing I just love them all great channel!
for when your front end gets sunk in mud? lol probably not what theyre for but thats what id do, sorta like the rollers infront of the old style ww2 halftracks & for extra weight
They don't even touch the straw... I thought maybe you lower them to the ground to carry the front of the tractor when your roading from field to field... It's hard on them 4wd tractors to run on pavement... But I'm sure that's not the reason either
We ran a Case 2670 pulling an Air seeder with 90' of the boom.
That tractor was amazing.
This set up is primo.
Thanks.
I could listen to the hum off that case all day long! Old skool love it..
Thank you! Great sounding tractor!
The sound of that engine OMG NICE
Ahh it's nice to see them old tractors in the field working
Still one of the best looking tractors to this day. I love the old look wig they’d bring them back
What a beautiful tractor sounds perfect 👌
Like the sound of the case straight piped
Dude, you are movin!
I love the old white case tractors
Nice yoke, proper weapon, no ad blue!

That ol Case sounds good and looks good
...what a nice Beast - Top Video!!
Beautiful big case.
magnifique vidéo le son est énorme
Definitely the coolest paint job of the case tractor era 👍👍
I have a Case 2294 and it's my favourite tractor. Only issue that Case has as they get older you experience shifting issues due to worn linkages.
That is smart tractor and sounds👌
Very nice JI Case tractor
We still run a Heston 3900 most reliable balers I used and have the first big baler Massey put name on love simplicity of use?
That thing is a beast! 🤘🏼

Beautiful sound
I know I’m gonna be a dumb ass for asking but what’s the tire set up in front for???
It’s to pack the straw row down so it fits under the tractor better
Asked the same question , then I found yours. Thanx for asking
That sound Case... 😍😊
That’s part of my lotto winning dream
My too
That is some tractor, very nice
George Saunders probably pretty rare on your side of the pond but somewhat common for it’s age on this side
just a question do you see any tractors like this in you area. on my farm in the United Stated we run deere and older case tractors
Nicholas Lawrence I wonder that myself. With the David Brown connection I’d say it’s possible
Wonderful! Very nice! Do you have some other videos featuring this tractor?
Yes check my RUclips.
the sound of pure horse power , its music to my ears,
It kinda sounds like a Cat 3406B fixing to tear up a highway. 😂 RIP REAL Cat OTR engines
Case is the best machine in world
The SOUND!
Cool tractor!
Mecanic:How wide do you want your tires
Farmer: yes
😂😂
Yes
wide tires look awesome
@@lateatday9826 Unless your in row crop setting a and smash half the crop with them

Would be nice to see the rows raked together for a more efficient purpose running up and down the field
Maybe you should go rake it for them

you know your stamp on the window says Talking ass when translated to Norwegian lol
provenxreaperx In danish it means something like “silly fool”
Silly fool talking out their ass!

Should have a medium duty four wheel drive, thats a big baler for that small of a tractor

Beauty tractor, amazing sound. what size of tires are on that.
850/60-38 750/45-30,5
Wow look at the capability of that thing......
Case best sounds engine!
son fabuleux
Looks like it needs some new tires, there's close to no tread at the center of the tire
Whsts the wheels in the front for ? Weights ?
Pure Sound
Need more weight on front axle
Sweet music
A beast of a tractor ..What hp is it Theres some crack off the engine a brutal hill

Rake and combine rows to make less trips baling.
Costs less to run a rake than baker.
John Doe are you going to buy them a rake then? Last rake I worked on at work was £40,000 and not many people can pull £40K out of their pocket
Very nice 💪
How many horse is she shoving out @ shaft you reckon??? I can't even remember what she should be but she sounds mint on the 4900!

Love that Cummins diesel. Real muscle. Probably 220-250 horse. And an ass load of torque.
It is making 152 hp
*Why is it difficult when climbing uphill. Not enough horsepower, torque, land conditions ect?*
No Cummins. Case old engine 504bdt.
It has the 504 cc engine that are addicted to fuel when loaded and no lugging power.
looks like the traction tires on the baler help it go up the hills better. LOL
I am not a farmer so what are the 4 small tires on the front of the case 2294 for?
if there is much hay in the rows, it drags under the tractor. but the four wheels push it down so it’s more compact
Massy man got the right tractor !!
jim clements Nothing run's like a Deere!, we have before Massey 3080 and Steyr 9190 it's same thing like Massey 3690,
Nothing runs like a deere when the puma is hunting!
That Massey is a much bigger tractor. 2294 factory rating was only 130hp.
@@mjoe7 140+ But difference is 0,1 liter engine.
Massey man has the right tyres also. Not enough weight and grip with those wide ones on hills. Great for softer conditions though.
sounds like it has a boost leak
Belli 😍
Some day I will paint a Magnum that color.
yes, we should revive the black and tan colors..
Coming up over that brow ,POWER
Sounds like my Chevy Truck👍💪
Nice !
Cool
This is porn to my ears

What motors do these have? Sounded like a straight six
Andrew Price Case built 8.3L (504.) NOT CUMMINS as some would have you believe. It actually predates the 8.3 cummins
That is straight six .. CASE 8.3 litres :) !!

No
What muffler😂
Hola hermosa máquina para que sirven las ruedas que están en el frente del tractor?
Squashing rows down to fit under tractor
Awesome RUBBER!
Power 💪
kan jeg købe den
Amazing sound power
Need weight on the front of the tractors plenty of power and not enough weight
Combien de chevaux
How many of the small balls have been in this kind of big? More than 35?
Something like New Holland 945, I believe makes bales 10-15 kg. This 500-550 kg.
Have it water into the tires?
No
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Lindo trator
verry nice
Does anyone know what the tire sizes are on this tractor?
850/60-38 and 750/45-30,5
What are the wheels on the front for?
Rodrigo Bulman that's for pushing down high widrows.
Anyone know what the wheels on the front are for
In Denmark we can have so much straw that it will make trouble under drawbar... This makes the problem go away.
Så ska det låta
how much weight the baler ? Thx
8500 kg.
They probably won't be needing that much, this year.
one nice turbo boost leak on that case
It was not turbo leek. It was the torque limiter sliding.

What's so easy about this picture; implement prices are down on all equipment and there are used hay rakes in great condition.
Very seldom buy new.
Cummins?
what the purpose of front attachment?
When there is much straw, to puch it down, tractor is not so high under.
Massey Ferguson number one.
were can I find that exhaust stack
Its home made.
how much if u made another one?
Depends how it would be, this is all the way from turbo. I think from 400 euro and up.

Weights for traction
They are to pull down the row of straw so they dont go in contact with the tractor.
