I would love to go do this with my dad and daughter for the experience. But I think I will stick to ruffed grouse and woodcock in northern Maine🐶

They're actually called bobwhite partridges or simply bobwhites, bobwhites are partridges not quails, bobwhites belong to the subfamily Dendrortyginae, where members are referred to as new world partridges.

I dont think your correct tbh. Bobwhite belong the family Odontophoridae, being a new world quail. Partridges belong to the family Phasianidae, which include pheasants and old world quail. All the Odontophoridae were believed to have descended from old world quails long ago so by technicalities they are not considered to be closely related to Phasianidae. Overall similar kinds of birds. They practically share the same behaviors and habits

Please DO NOT hunt these birds, they will go extinct!
