I am using pixel 6A. It's an absolute, good phone. The only problem is it's heat too quickly. But it's cameras are outstanding and it's also delivers a quite a good performance.

I find it struggling with multi tasking (m no gamer ) . Not to mention the heating which is now a well known issue. for the budget the cameras are above par for sure. Hopefully the future a series offer more value in terms of better battery, fast charging and display .

Not really. They are still using the same Exynos chipset rebranded into tensor until 2025. If they want us to have a great experience with their phone they need to switch back with snapdragon. Even s23 ultra uses snapdragon.

Snapdragon works well with cooling the processor once it starts heating. That's why even Samsung don't use their chipset in flagships like s23 ultra. I don't know what made Google to think they can use Exynos and have no problem in their phone. Until 2025 Google will still stick to Exynos I heard. Also in India sales is not much because they don't offer 256 gb just the 128 gb variant which most of the people won't prefer
I was considering getting pixel 6a/7a but as you say, I think that the phone has a really bad reputation thx to the poor Tensor / Samsung made chipset, I honestly believe that Google cut the corners on wrong places... maybe the 8a will improve on the faults on its predecessors, I wish it would be the phone every could get especially cause of the camera capabilities, I dont mind the slow charging speed but it could be improved.
If only they would switch to Qualcomm, even older processors such as 888 or 8+ Gen 1, the experience will improve by leaps and bounds. But maybe the Tensor allows Google more freedom to implement their image processing algorithms and the photography experience is the main thing they care about. Also, it doesn't really help that Google has, so far, not been keen on how many Pixels are sold. It's a showcase of Android's true form for them.
Yes google is basically making more money by their ad revenue than by selling pixel devices. So they don't want to make it the greatest phone. They are just seeing pixels as a testing device for their Software magic and AI algorithms. That is also the purpose of tensor chip. They should make tensor with tsmc that itself would solve all the problems

The thing is that , we feel cheated in India as based on many reviewers , I bought this phone and it’s really gets overheat even without using any gaming app. I had replacement within 1 month of purchase from service center….now after the three months , i have again raised the issue with google …it’s never been case with any other brand in India. Even The courier guy who came to take my phone said that this is 23rd phone in Gurgaon only he picked up in a week

I would still says a bad buy not because it has a terrible processor but because the competition has caught up or even surpassed.. S23 for example might have a slightly worse camera but the difference is only negligible especially when you see a photo through a highly compressed social media but where pixel 7 Pro delivers lackluster performance is what matters the most like battery life and heating which might be a terrible deal breaker in day to day use which is why getting a pixel 7 Pro is not recommended unless and until they up their game in the processor

I have been wanting to get a Pixel for sometime now. But the problems you highlight are big for me. I live in Delhi so, heating is a major issue. Plus inconsistent connections render any phone unusable, so there’s that. Anyway, I want to switch to Android and have Nothing and Pixel in mind; but Nothing is too gaudy and Pixel has even bigger issues. I’ll wait for next year or the one after to see a less gaudy Nothing or a Pixel which performs basic functions properly
I am happy with them I still think comfort wise bose are better but everything else sony will be better. Sound signature is a personal preference. I do like bose's sound signature better but I have no complaints with sony.
Honestly, I don't see myself using a Pixel, I hate Pixel-Experience, however, I hope the Pixels 8 will be powerful and energy efficient enough (a bit like an 8+Gen 1), to be able to put pressure on Samsung and Apple, and force them to review their prices a bit.
kinda agree but i use 6a with battery saver mode. i even play pubg with battery save mode and it runs smoothly. Plus point of battery saver mode is phone never heats up even if i use camera, shoot videos.

The problem with pixel 7a is service Centre (What would I do even If I encounter a cracked display, which is common)-, Gorilla glass 3 on front, battery charging( currently using Redmi note 8 pro). I wanted to own a pixel for long because of the camera. The problem with samsung is the Downgrading, and the battery will drain faster than pixel 7a. I wanted to own a pixel for long. Prices am getting them for: Pixel 7a: 36000 S21 FE: 34000 in samsung store

Currently rocking the Pixel 7 and its all bullshit these reports .. In day to day usage you won't even feel a thing .. I am a heavy user and play F1 mobile and Bgmi on it and it does warm up a little but there's absolutely no performance drop .. plus the cameras are mind blowing amd software experience is better than ios so whoever is considering they can go for it

My pixel 6 never heats up. Only time it got hot was during the initial set up and 1-2 days after this. Then it settled down
