Just received a set, they are very solid, weigh about 20 pounds each. Inner pieces are solid metal, not tubes like the other version, this version is cheaper price too. ETA manufacturing is in Niagara Falls USA, I believe, but there is a company in Florida that also sells them. The Florida ones are more money, $225, (black and silver) the ones in this video are cheaper $130(orange and silver). If made in the USA is important to you, (and it should be) buy the expensive ones. If distributed in the USA is ok with you (why not it’s $95 cheaper) buy these ones. Delivery was fast (5 days international to Canada), packaging was done well, nothing damaged or lost. More money than a regular jack stand, but they are far from regular.
I'll be damned! The wheel can be reinvented. This is genuinely a new design. That's nice to see after so many years of cosmetic changes being marketed as better
This might be the only safe product to use for people that live in hilly areas. Lots of San Francisco has nothing but driveways at 30°. I doubt many of those people change their own oil, but it does make you wonder how one would do so safely. Maybe a more common use case would be rural areas with no concrete. That nice big footprint would work well in a wooded setting
In the pictures it say 6 ton per *pair*. On their website listing it says *3* ton per pair. Rennstand’s own stand it’s listed as 3 ton per stand. Which is it? 🥴
this is from the manufacturer's website q&a section. "On internal testing, our product supported over 6 tons per pair. But on independent lab testing, we decided to just to do the minimum and got certification for a 3 Ton lab test, per ASME/PALD standards for jack stands."
Those are actually nice man. Thanks for showing me this. I am fixing to start a rather large project on a Dodge RAM rebuild. Could you tell me, do you think they will go high enough for a lifted truck? or no?
Because of the weight of the RAM, I would recommend something a bit bigger. Maybe the 6 ton Daytona jack stands at Harbor Freight? They have been redesigned with a few safety mechanisms that make them pretty tough. The 6 tons also have more height. www.harborfreight.com/6-ton-heavy-duty-ratcheting-jack-stands-black-58342.html
I really liked these for my truck too, i thought of half of sleeper block under the renstand... but found them difficult to buy... I especially liked the feature on these, where you can higher if in the the middle of a job ... I grabbed those 6 Tonner's our friend recommended for $60 on a Amazon special. Would have preferred these though...
Just bought a set based on your review. I have always felt uneasy with cheap jack stands. Being able to jack up the actual lifting point is genius.

Love your videos! Short and to the point! SOOOOOO many youtubers think they are A list all stars. LOTS OF INFO QUICK keep it up!
Wow! What a great concept! It's amazing that this simple but elegant design hasn't been offered before. I Love it! Great review!!!!!!!
It has. Safe Jack has had Rennstands for 5+ years, bought a set when they first came out.
Thanks for sharing this video. Cool Concept

I thing these are especially good for newer unibody vehicles. And look pretty safe and stable.

These are especially perfect for Tesla vehicles as the lift points are very small - no option to use the usual method
$200 each? Holy moly!
$129.99 is their current price. $200 is the MSRP. Still pricy, but they are unique and well built.
They are definitely worth it
Where are they at $129 a piece????@@1D10CRACY
I thought they are supposed to be made in USA

The biggest problem with these is you have to have enough clearance between the car and the jack to use them. That and the premium price.
Agree. I can't even get a jack under 2 of my cars.
The price definitely throws it off for me! They have to make these things more affordable to the masses, otherwise there's no point in buying them.
@@willb3018 ...Is your car lowered that much? Do. you have a low profile jack too?
Good stuff!
Nice tool
Am I missing the link to the stands?

These hold up two years later ?
Yeah, not much to go wrong really.
takes up less storage space
Sometimes there’s not a need to reinvent something…
