Damn, wish sometimes you weren’t as critical about this band. These guys are amazing and one of the best in the scene.
I agree, this band is probably the best out right now in my opinion. Absolute bangers since they came back
This guy is like the golden retriever of metal reactions and I'm here for it.
Lmao that’s a first. I’ll take it though haha
Does that imply he goes to all of them ? Cuz if so , I’m still waiting on him to retrieve that new Dealer 🤷
@@Nolly69 dealer is trash
@@DallasBillow1994 😂😂😂 okay buddy.
@@Nolly69 he reacted to it on stream. He liked it a lot!
FLUBBERNUGGET! Discovered you completely by accident a few days ago, your enthusiasm for metal is infectious and has brought me back everyday since!! Thank you!! 🤘🤟
Hell yeah! Thank you for the nice words man
you love to see it
No, not a single bit of Singularity in this song. Just stop making these unqualified comments.
When I first watched the music video, there was an ad for the new exorcist movie right before it started. PERFECT intro 😂😂
As with the past Invent, Animate videos.....can I get some appreciation for their 21:9 music videos???
Wide...
Absolutely.
I care about sounding itself much less when it delivers me such specific emotions (though sounding is a gateway for me to get interested), + I personally didn't click with any tracks from Singularity or any other Northlane album when I listened to this song.
I feel Invent, Animate developed their own style, which is modified from album to album. I even came back to Singularity when was writing this comment - Northlane sound is more airy, dreamy. While Invents always sound dark
Immolation of Night is a special one to me, definitely my favorite among their last singles (just like with Currents)
This comment is a toptier dude :)
I think i got some Northlane vibe in a technical meaning and especially Silent Planet vibe, but at the same time it feels unique and more like their own style. Especially while we have Shade Astray and Elysium which sound like i've never heard before... The choruses of these songs are extremely cool
Flubbernugget baby. This is random birb, but love the Darko US-Come Home reaction of yours. Loved it so much I had to show the gf. I had a similar initial reaction and it was just so different of a video. Hope you're doing well friend and keep the vids coming!
congratz on 90k bro! This is my song of the fucking year
Flubbernugget 🤘🏻 good reaction as always man.
Interesting, I thoroughly enjoyed singularity but I didn't get any of those vibes from this song.
It has a similar vibe to it but is in no way derivative as people say it is
I've been an Invent Animate Fan and ERRA Currents, Silent Planet etc
just checking out your channel now dude! keep up the good work I'm really digging this. The Veil Of Maya video popped up on my algorithm and now im down the rabbit hole haha!
This song is just perfect ..
My most streamed song of 2023 so far is easily The Sun Sleeps from their EP in 2021 absolutely beautiful, intense, riffy, and everything prog-metalcore usually does. Invent Animate's style has overlap with early Northlane sure, but i feel its different enough and fresh still. Northlane's old vocalist, Adrian, and Invent Animate's vocalist have similar voices so maybe its that. To me singularity sounds like a marriage between prog-metal instrumentation & hardcore vocals, and sounds more moshy, and angry as a result. Whereas Invent Animate usually have their prog-metal instrumentation take center stage with the vocals almost taking a backseat like its any other instrument, as to make it more atmospheric and darker. Obv both this band and that album share these elements on some level i'm really just splitting hairs to defend an amazing band like Invent Animate, they've made a fan out of me.
ah flubbernugget, i'm not sure i agree with 7.5 but i can definitely see where you're coming from, i think it still sits at a solid 8 from me. I'm loving the IA singles andn Heavener is definitely a hype album for me
when you hear the grooviest song of the year that kicks your ass and birb says “i don’t know how much replay value it has”….
WHAT
Absolutely 😂 I've listened to the song like 30 times because it keeps pulling me back in.
And you find something new everytime because of how technical the "verses" of the song can be. Then THAT riff is just the icing on the cake 🙌
The breakdown rhythm has been stuck in my head since it came out
@@justinmadison513 yeah i had the exact opposite reaction, i cannot stop playing this song because the riffage and the pitch shift kick so much ass bro
Grooviest??…. Literally every Sleep Token single released so far in 2023 was groovier than this song
@@jw4792 new sleep token bangs but real metalcore always gonna have my heart
As a huge invent, animate fan I'm hoping one day soon I'll get a super stoked review out of you. FLUBBERNUGGET
I saw them live opening up for Lorna Shore. They played The Sun Sleeps, As if It Never Were which was really amazing to hear in person. Also flubbernugget.
as always i love your energetic way of reacting
This and CURRENTS is what's up. Nice reaction dude!
I don't really think anyone is doing the progressive metalcore thing the WAY Invent Animate is.
That crushing riff with the ethereal vocals at the end are a perfect example of what I'm talking about.
Combine that with the rest of their crushing progressions and I think they are actually very unique right now.
Sure they have sounds in their songs that are reminiscent of other metalcore genres, like the Singularity album as you mentioned, but I don't view that as a con. I think they are forming their own space.
Can we honestly say anyone is giving us anything quite like Shade Astray, Elysium, and now Immolation of Night?
Or even The Sun Sleeps? I don't think so. At the very least, it's not like what Invent Animate has been doing since The Sun Sleeps is overrepresented.
Flubbernugget! I don't like how you say that IA haven't unlocked their true potential. I think most fans of the band would agree that they keep surpassing expectations. Each album is the best that they are at that time. If a band reaches their "true potential", then that should be their last album, no? IA with Ben as their vocalist was an amazing era but this era with Marcus has been incredible. Idk, maybe IA just isn't really for you if you think they haven't "unlocked their true potential"?
I keep hearing invent anime
I've had this and currents on repeat for days
Invent A24nimate
Deep cut
Honestly I didn't really care for this record the first time I heard it but it's grown on me a lot. It's a nice change from the previous two singles.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Flubbernugget.
Finally starting to click with this band. Its a fun listen. Super excited to head the album and hoping it makes me a fan.
7.5, no replay value, Singularity? Gtfo man, how is a percieved similarity to a decade old album a problem for you? It just makes no logical sense when you have praised some of of the music you have, both old and new. This song was also absolutely batshit insane live.
I’ve been very critical of Invent Animate in the past as they didn’t really scratch the itch for me as much as I wanted to, but since i didn’t like The Sun Sleeps ep very much when it came out but after multiple listens I love it now and everything they’ve released since has been pure fire, and I didn’t really listen to early Northlane at all so I don’t relate with that criticism, love these new tracks, and this is probably one of my favorite Invent tracks ever. Just wish ya liked it more birb. FLUBBERNUGGETTTTTTT
Metalbirb always looking for a reason not to like this band 😂
I like this band* just giving constructive criticism
AOTY 2023 inbound. They've been one of the absolute best metalcore bands since their first album, and I really hope this is the one that puts them on everyone's radar.
The transition from the dialog section back into the ending breakdown is absolutely perfect. I've seen a handful of music videos where the music cuts out for dialog in the video. Not a single one of them has a transition even close to this video. 10/10 banger 😗🤌
Flubbernugget
Maybe you should watch this video again when you're not so distracted. That got weird. Flubberbuttox.
Everything Invent animate touches is gold right now!
Estos chicos vinieron a revolucionar el metalcore con una propuesta en sus videos y las transiciones de las canciones, hay mucho talento en el vocalista, a mi me voló la cabeza esta banda
You want honest so here it is
No clue
Thinking you cool haha
Sounds like some old Northlane!
Long hair man
Still liked the song, but I definitely liked their other singles better. This just didn't feel like an Invent track
It’s like Currents - Vengeance. If any other band released those songs we’d be losing our shit, but both bands have set the bar so insanely high that these to the point, brutally heavy but straight forward songs just don’t stand out compared to other tracks
still great though, don’t get me wrong
This song slaps soo dang hard! 🔥
These guys haven’t clicked with me, but I can’t put a finger on why. Like… everything I like is there. I’m just not vibing on the same wavelength or something.
Good catch on “The VVitch” because the band told Rachelle that they were definitely inspired by Robert Eggers (the director of that movie). The guy who did this video for them also worked with Currents on their new ones.
I agree with everything you said. Now can you react to new Megadeth album?!?!?!
It never ceases to amaze me how people can't just listen to someone else's opinion without getting all militant and defensive if it doesn't line up with theirs.
You gave it a decent score, said you liked it overall, but gave one or two small things that bring down the score for YOU, and IA fans are getting all pissy and passive aggressive lol.
Stop watching solely for validation of your opinion. I watch because I like hearing his thoughts, good or bad. It's entertaining to me. I don't care if he doesn't like the stuff that I think is a "masterpiece"... Because someone else's opinion does NOTHING to stop me from enjoying the things I like.
As for the song, personally, I liked it when it was playing, but I have no desire to ever listen to it again. If it comes on in a playlist, sure.
Flubbernugget - man it’s scary how similar our opinions and taste in music are Birb. Genuinely can’t remember a time when I have disagreed with your thoughts 😅
One of the best songs of the year so far
Yes and metalbirb sucks
flubbernugget
nice video's!!
Would you please react to Whitechapel- Anticure??? amazing song
Immediately made me think of The Browning’s End of Existence in the intro. Am I the only one?
This song was absolutely flubbernuggetting
I think without the video this is a pretty average song, I think it added a lot to it. It's not bad but it's just heavy for the sake of being heavy and won't stick with me as much as the previous singles.
Doesn't have the ambient/quieter moments I look for in the other Invent tracks
@@levianderson5744 this was released as a single because Invent went on a tour with After the burial, suicide silence, boundaries, spite and cabal, so they decided they needed something heavy to be among those bands :D
"I should also put my hand down, I don't why I'm doing that" 🤣 that got me
Damn the new song from Greta Van Northlane slaps
I do genuinely enjoy this song even though I know it is pretty derivative of bands like Northlane. That being said, IA execute those types of sounds better than most today IMO.
Flubbernugget. But first , the guy who likes Erra doesn’t like the proggy Invent Animate ? Shocker. Could’ve seen it coming lol. You gotta admit it’s a shorter , more ambient version of House of Glass. But , what do I know 🤷 much love 🤟
I explained my thoughts with more time. I know IA fans will disagree but I’m firm with my con
@@METALBIRB oh I completely understand. Just ironic imo. Everyone’s ears are different. You hear Singularity , and I tbh , didn’t hear much of a similarity in this song and that album. Just different opinions. All good in the hood my guy !! 🤟❤️
Yes ears are different … and some like metalpoop are crazy Bad and simply the worst of the worst ever in every Galaxy existing
@@felixjipner2338 he’s not a bad reactor by any means. It’s just his taste isn’t aligned with yours lol. Can’t knock him cuz the man makes a living off of making reactions.
@@Nolly69 yeah you may be right… its just not my „Style“ what he does…give him a chance once in a while but its even getting worst…
So bad
Honestly just sounds like riff salad to me, there’s not much of a song here.
There’s 3 riffs in the song my guy
songs shouldn’t have riffs. got it
Yeah, nothing special about this type of music tbh. This song is definitely enjoyable but still I’m getting bored too quickly listening to the endless chugging.
completely agree with the rating. flubbernugget
