    If I was on the jury, there is enough for me to convict both the grave-digger and the gold-digger. I also want them to look more closely at both Melanie’s. They knew what was going on. This is crazy that they offered no other point of view in this case. As a juror, I would think that not offering any defense would mean you have no defense. I would have nothing other that the prosecutions side to think about in the jury room.

    • @Leonnie13
      @Leonnie13 Год назад +4

      Guilty or innocent that is one risky tactic. Now I didn’t listen to this trial so I can’t make an informed opinion on guilt (I was watching the Stauch trial).
      Are they possibly looking toward a better advantage in appeal? Could she make the claim that her lawyer did not serve her interests. Is she looking to see what happens with Chad. I don’t get the logic right now?

    • @sallycinnamon5370
      @sallycinnamon5370 Год назад +7

      @@Leonnie13 The thing is that she would have to proved that she had an alternate feasible defence and that there was exculpatory evidence that they didn’t put on. I think that they elicited as much exculpatory evidence as there was. That she wasn’t at Chad’s house for the burial or even in the state for Tammy’s death. That prior to Chad people seemed to agree that she was a good mother.
      You can’t claim ineffective councils because they didn’t put on a convincing defence unless you can prove that there was a convincing defence to be had. I don’t think there is some mysterious witness out there that could testify that she didn’t want anyone to die except herself and Chad. She waived that right to testify and Chad was protected by the 5th.
      Sometimes cases are just losers from a defence perspective. Sometimes you just can’t present a convincing case that they didn’t do it because they did do it and there isn’t enough there to spin the case. You can just hope that the prosecution didn’t have enough to convince everyone of reasonable doubt.

    • @Prof.Tarfeather
      @Prof.Tarfeather Год назад +2

      If the Prosecution has not Proved their case without a "doubt", the Defense does not have to prove a thing?
      LVD is being Judged by the Media and what everyone is watching and influenced by?
      Plus, Mother's are supposed to protect their Children? We all want to hate a selfish, self-cemtered, person who thinks their Children are burdens and they end up Dead and buried in her new Husbands back yard?
      Even though she wasn't there?
      The State didn't prove she was there?
      The Defense doesn't need to prove a thing?
      But she was definitly knew and we hate her for it but can't find her Guilty if the State didn't prove she was there and killed them?
      In a Legal Court a Juror can only judge what is allowed to be brought into Evidence?
      The Prosecution carries the Burden to prove the case against the Defendant?
      The Defense does not have a burden to prove the Defendants Innocence? They ARE innocent until Proven Guilty?
      Look at what the Charges are?
      If she was Not There? She didn't commit the Murders.
      However, Conspiracy means she took part in it by knowing and planning in the Murders in some way?
      The usual way people commit conspiracy is paying a hit man to kill for them?
      That didn't happen in this case?
      This was a bizarre story based on warped religious beliefs whether truly believed or not?
      The children were a burden and in her and Chad's way and ended up dead. Other people ended up dead too.
      This doesn't mean she is Not Guilty of Conspiracy and Fraud?

    • @kezzen3930
      @kezzen3930 Год назад +1

      I agree mostly. Before the case we didn't know how culpable she was in her children's death,now we know, she pushed for it based on the belief their souls were already gone. Yet that is an age old excuse for killing people, dehumanising them makes it easier to excuse in your own mind but in reality it is no excuse. She knew it was wrong and showed it by hiding their fates from the world.
      Im not sure if there is enough to prove she directly did it but definitely enough for conspiracy. Did she directly arrange their deaths, it seems likely but is it proven 🤔 im not sure, but I was not on the jury (I didn't hear and see every piece of evidence) so ill trust their decision on that.

    I think the damning thing to find her guilty of murder is what they DIDNT have not what they did have and the reason they couldnt blame it on Chad misleading her, not once did she ever ask Chad if the kids would be safe, if they're being taken care of, tell them I miss them or love them etc as if she thought they were just hidden away somewhere or something, nor did anybody ever reassure her the kids were ok or safe anything, nothing to show she was stunned or upset when the bodies were found. She knew the kids were gonna be and were dead no doubt about it. Archibald's closing was insane to me! I got the part where he said he has nothing to prove and his client has nothing to prove. But, the things he did say was almost as if he was on the state's side. He even cried while talking about Lori's son Colby. It was such a strange closing by defense imo. Would love to know your and your dad's thoughts on defense attorney closing!

      Lori hair was stuck to the inside of the duct tape with decomp fluid that was wrapped around white plastic bag over JJ head. This is how i heard it explained. This is why i believe she was there with Chad and Alex when he was killed. Also why Melanie Gibb could not find her in the middle of the night when David Warwick woke up from nightmare. Lori and Chad were at Alex apartment killing JJ. They were casting out the demon so they thought. They are all guilty of all 3 murders in my opinion. RIP JJ Tylee and Tammy and Charles. ❤️😇🙏❤️
      Guilty on all charges. Life in prison without parole. Just like Leticia Stauch was given. God has got this. Good will win over this evil. 👍👍

      I agree. Granted, it seemed like every text was laced with that crap, but Lori would talk about JJ's death score and then how much she wanted Chad in the same "breath".

    She was in text messages pushing for these people to be at 0 percent. If you read them all it’s clear what they meant by this! That’s why she’s guilty imo

    The text messages were quite damning, in my opinion, but all the evidence combined including testimonies from the witnesses, not to mention their code words, and their zombie ratings. I hope the jurors use common sense and with all the facts/evidence, they could very well find her guilty. But you never know!! When you think about it, just from the social media platforms, most people (not all) believe that she is guilty and as Peter always tells us, we are potential jurors and as a potential juror, I think Lori is guilty as sin! (Actually, I was picked as a juror twice). Yep, all the dots connected with me!

    I looked for the Ted Bundy coverage, but couldn't find it. Not listed in podcast or the video section. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place? Great review today. I haven't followed this case all that much. Watched Stauck trial full coverage. Looking forward to the verdict though.

    The problem is there is no plausible explanation for Lori's behavior other than she was complicit in their murders. She never reported her kids missing. She showed zero concern for where they were or what was happening to them during the time they were "misssing". She lied to multiple people about their whereabouts. I think the defense rested because they have no defense. They have no explanation for why Lori did what she did.

    With all the other evidence she is definitely guilty of conspiracy. The hair just gives me the absolute confidence I would need as a juror to vote guilty. I do not need convincing on anything for conspiracy. I do not know the jury instructions and what they say exactly for my opinion and how I got to guilty. I would have to see those obviously but feel good with guilty even without the hair.
    I do remember Casey didn’t report her daughter missing at all. This is probably a huge trigger for Casey’s parents. I have thought about them often in this case. I can’t imagine what they are thinking.

    The only thing the defense could do was try to prove Chad manipulated Lori into doing all this, and we know Lori isn't going to let them do that. But it doesn't matter, no amount of manipulation should ever make a parent ok with slaughtering his/her children. From the way she acted after their deaths, she is pure evil. No emotion or remorse whatsoever.
