My buddy jokingly told me I should make chili tea by putting superhot chili powder/flakes in a tea bag or coffee filter and steeping it in hot water. All I can say is that sounds like one heck of a challenge and probably thr most effective way to clear you out if you are sick lol
My cold cure is boiling a crap ton of garlic, onions, and peppers together.

I just picked some peppers from my garden , and did not know what they were, it turns out after seeing this video they were
the Remmert pepper. Thank you for clarifying this for me. I cut them in half, to get the seeds, and just the fumes alone, was extremely disturbing , I can't imagine actually eating them whole. You are a legend .

I have an idea if possible. Compair a pepper from a plant that is on year 2 vs a year one pepper from the seeds from same plant.
On your recommendation I just bought a can of Campbell’s ghost pepper 🌶️. soup . Tomorrow’s dinner. Also grew Congo Black. Very satisfied!

Johnny, where do I get the shirt from the video "drink the sauce"? Friends always make fun of me for taking a "drink" of hot sauce with every bite of my meal. I developed the habit because I got tired of losing too much hot sauce from dripping off my food, it just seemed to make more sense to pour a small cup of it and drink it! T-shirt would be a hit w/ anyone who knows me. PS I need a 3x, as I am a BIG guy at 6'6"!

You had a bigger reaction smelling the Bhutlah cross than you did eating the ghost pepper 🤣😂 but still you hardly reacted to the bhutlah.
I used to like 'Haunted Ghost Pepper' chips by Paqui but the store I used to get them at stopped stocking them.
Funny story about spiciness:
My girlfriend likes Doritos 'Sweet Chili Heat' chips.
I poured both of us a bowl of chips, but mine I topped up with the Haunted Ghost Pepper chips WHICH LOOK ALMOST IDENTICAL to the Sweet Chili Heat, and then I walked away to do something else...
In the time it took me to return, she had selected a bowl of chips and began eating, and it was at that moment that I thought I screwed up!
Seriously it would have been a run to the Emergency Room if she grabbed my bowl, and I'm SO thankful she didn't.

I've made it to the point where habaneros are tolerable, but still hot. How would you compare the burn of a ghost to a hab?
A ghost is noticably hotter, but doesnt affect the throat as much. More tolerable IMO

On my honor there are several pods this season that are so hot the Scoville ratings wouldn’t really matter to me. Don’t get me wrong, I’d be interested in knowing but they’re all about equally vicious. In no particular order
Choc. Primotalii
Omega
Louisiana Creeper
And the Remmert is right there. I really need to eat some more

On the subject of flavors. What flavors do you normally get when eating a jalapeño? I personally hate the taste of jalapeños idk what it is about them but i think they taste terrible lol just curious what you think.

Why are cooked jalapeños a 0-1, when a raw jalapeño is a 6-7? I LOVE spice, but I've had jalapeños that I snack on, and jalapeños that have put me down. Raw peppers (to me) are hotter than any sauce, powder, or cooked product, and I don't know why. I can eat Carolina Reaper powdered products and enjoy them, but tear up and suffer when I ingest a serrano pepper. Is my tongue weak to oils?
