I take a jacket like this when I travel. It turns day casino to evening dressy and covers shoulders for churches and temples. And it doesn’t take up much space in a suitcase. Good use of a busy speciality fabric and matching fabric to pattern.

Thank you so much for this tutorial! I wondered if I could do french seams on a basic kimono. That fabric is so beautiful!❤

Fabric and pattern were made for eachother... and the right executive decisions were made ! This jacket is so versatile.

I think lace would cheapen the garment. You wisely made the right call.

One of my favorite things to sew are these instant gratification kimono style toppers. Loved how you handled the fabric

If you come across ribbon the same shade you could cover the back neckline with that

I’m inspired to make one. My arms are too skinny and I don’t want to stop wearing tank tops so this kind of cover up might work! Yours is lovely.

I love the look of this fabric, especially for this purpose. I’m wondering about the length of this garment. Will have to see how flattering the final garment looks. I’m typically a fan of waist or hip length for this kind of garment. 😊 With your longer hairstyle no one will usually see the back neck seam, so it’s fine. It turned out very well! Thanks for sharing your project.

Cute. I have a million sheer fabrics and couple hundred thousand jacket patterns. If I could just find a Round-to-it, I would rub a little time on it, and get on with it. (I've actually had some so long, this is the second time they're popular.) 😱 Very cute jacket!

It is really pretty and looks wonderful on you. The fabric is gorgeous, and you were lucky to have such a nice friend to give it to you. I love your channel and I believe I have watched everyone since you started. I have learned so many sewing tips and lessons from you that have made my sewing so much easier for me and my garments don't look homemade. Take care, have a good day and be safe.

I have videos that incorporate enlarging certain pieces of patterns, mostly sleeves and bust line and hips, but I don't have videos enlarging an entire pattern. Sorry

Do you offer individual instructions or advice? I'm working on S59124, style D, in white eyelet, with plain white band trim all around. And I cannot figure out how to put the edge facing pieces together and get the notches to match up. HELP!

I don't really know exactly what part you're talking about. If you join my Facebook group, you can post a picture of where you're having a question and ask there. Good luck
