- Hi folks, in todays video I show how I made my kimono style jacket. I love how this turned out, its super light weight for summer, the belt cinches in the waist and the pockets are super practical. Love this one and I think I'm going to adapt the pattern slightly as I would love to make a super cosy winter version in a knit fabric. I hope you enjoy. Susanne 💕

I always enjoy watching your makes videos too Suzanne - what a gorgeous little jacket! The front band, length and of course that fabric (wow!) are my favourite aspects of it. I just finished the Deer & Doe Nenuphar in a light denim that I love too. These kimono jackets are just perfect on a sunny but cooler summer day.

I do love the back detail but I think your idea of pleats would be gorgeous👌I didn't think I was into kimonos but I haven't stopped wearing this and another couple of versions I've made👍 as you say they are so comfy on lovely summer days, love them 💕💕💕
Lovely kimono and so nicely sewn. I like the turning back of the cuff to cover sleeve seam and adding pockets at the end when you’ve seen how it looks. Also like the cuffed pocket. Great video Susanne😘

It is almost as if you made this video just for me, I have copied details of a block off Pinterest for a similar kimono jacket and have been trying to decide what fabric to use. Fabulous result. Kimono's are such a stylish and versatile piece of clothing. I am making one right now but you've inspired me to consider making another already! I wonder if you've discovered the joys of an edge stitching foot since you made this video? Its my favorite tool for a professional finish.
