If you could fine tune the start voltage and acceleration CV, you could get the engine to rev up first before setting off. 100% more realistic and fantastic fun.
@@sonomacustommodels oh ok. Yeah, so far there's an MRC decoder which flashes very accurately but as far as ESU, quite disappointing. Their sound and motor control is outstanding however!

I don't think there's any way to get ditch lights to flash accurately with ESU decoders
Someone made a function in the lokprogrammer to make them more accurate. ESU saw it and said they'd look into making it a firmware update.
