I have mixed feelings about it: great functionality but we need to go with the pro plan costing 28€/mo allowing “1 translation locale”. If so, I’m curious to watch how the market and competitors will react. Overall, great job, but would be wonderful to see Framer reconsider the comercial strategy.
We think our pricing is pretty competitive compared to some of the dedicated translation platforms which often charge a lot more for just localization. Thanks for the feedback though and we’ll definitely keep this in mind!

@@Framer I don’t agree. The pricing doesn’t make any sense. €200,- per month for each additional locale after the second locale is insane. We pay €99,- yearly for a WP plugin that’s supporting unlimited locales. It’s not AI but I don’t really care. All our content would still need to be properly done by a professional translator.

Also, to add a second language, I have to purchase an add-on, which costs me 200 dollars per month, which is extremely expensive. What I suggest is to increase the language allowance for the Pro Plan for 2 and to increase the number of translators, in addition to making add-ons much cheaper.

How does it compare to the webflow one ? Just saw their announcement and seems really nice too… and at a quick glance it seems cheaper when you’re on a monthly plan
I thought this feature will be amazing when this feature was updated a few weeks ago. I also upgraded the plan in order to use this feature. But the problem was the translation skills are too low compared to Chatgpt. I feel like using a translation tool from 10 years ago. So I wasted time and money upgrading the plan. In the end, I'm translating each sentence and word using chatgpt. So upset and so disappointed 😢
Did I understand correctly that you need to contact sales and upgrade to a business plan if you want to translate to more than one language? That's really disappointing, I would pay for Pro to get multiple languages but not to get a single one.
That’s correct. We feel that 1 language is pretty fair for a pro site subscription. Especially considering the high costs associated to just a single language with some of the translation platforms.
I get that but at the same time I feel like translation will get quite a bit cheaper with the rise of AI and for an early stage startup with 2-3 page website (which otherwise framer is perfect for) it's not really attractive to hop on the business plan to translate for more than 1 language. But that's just my feedback.

To give an example can have 1000 dollars for the us version and then 1200 euros for the dutch version. The payment links also need to be different as I am charging 2 different prices. Does it allow for that kind of fexibility.

It is well but this feature should be system wide regardless of plan - not everyone needs a pro plan as that is 2x+ basic plan
