So many quotables on "The Bitch in Yoo". I was floored when I first heard that joint... took me five minutes to get through the first verse because I couldn't stop rewinding
Cube being offended was absolutely WRONG. Common never said anything along the lines of “she got messed up when she went West”. What he SAID was, “I WASNT salty when she got with them boyz in the hood”. In OTHER WORDS, he wasn’t mad about it. Wasn’t a diss at all!
I was a massive Common Sense fan (yes, Common Sense) and also, as a kid from southern California, I was a major fan of Cube. When Common dropped Bitch In Yoo... I was shattered! 🤣🤣🤣 Common roasted Cube!
New subscriber. Great to see your channel here on youtube. Can you see if you're able to find any full interviews, or anything at all with Patrice O'Neal? I've come across an old interview that you did with him in your studio where you had K Foxx with you. Great episode. There were comments made during the interview that made it sound like Patrice had been there before. Hearing anything more with him, or watching interviews with him (if you shot video during that time), would be a damn joy! Seeing this full interview with Ice Cube is another thing that would be great to watch too. Thank you guys!
The Common diss was good, but I think it was the fact that Common went at Cube at that time when we all thought it was a problem for anyone going at Cube. Can't help but wish we could hear what Cube had in that reply. Lol.
Great interview Juan Epers. My only gripe with the legend of Cube isn’t the kid movies or the new direction, it’s that every time I’ve seen Cube live (at least 3 times), he always performs “You Can Do It” but I can never get “Black Korea” live. Shame.
He do anything from lethal injection in the last decade or two? It was always looked at with mixed views but I love it, not my favorite but I love it. I just don't see cave bitch going over too well these days 😆

Cube is bang on, especially with trend. As soon as grunge happened, everyone had greasy hair, and plaid shirts. The originators of both lived it, not faked.
Cube gives a great explanation on this issue and it makes sense. It really wasn't NWA's fault that everyone started to bite their style. Also, people gets a ton of respect of how he didn't allow the white guy to diss Farrakhan. Whether people agree with him or not, he's a religious and social figure who has done a lot for his community. The dude went out of bounds and Cube wasn't for it.
Cypher Sounds a whole LEGEND in these here parts! I remember him from yesteryear on Tim Westwood's BBC Radio 1 Rap show.. (Cypher) always seemed like a solid dude with integrity, I've already subscribed just off name sakes!
Fascinating the cube, so they had to take stuff out of the movie, because if not, then they would have a mini series. They just missed the miniseries wave by about two years. And as good as the movie was, the 8 to 10 part straight Outta Compton miniseries would’ve been that much more enthralling..
I'm from New York, and Ice Cube is exactly right! I didn't like the West Coast rap, with the exception of a few songs. But they did have their own style, and when New York started to emulate them, Hip Hop got real corny. Then Wu Tang dropped and the East Coast started sounding like the East again.
What exact records and groups did you mean that emulated west coast? I mean the east coast scene was still huge between 1990-1993 cause there were bands like Tribe Called quest, Onyx, EPMD, Das EFX, De la soul, Gang Starr, Main Source, Pete Rock and C. L., Run DMC and they all had golden and platinum albums during that time or at least silver. And every one of them represented the east coast sound.
@alexmason6191 I liked your comment because you are actually right. However, if you noticed, those groups you mentioned were on their way out, and were losing their popularity, so they don't count. I'm talking about the up and coming groups in the East Coast that had too much profanity, violence and criminal activity in their content, like MOP, Apache, Fat Joe, Mobb Deep, Jay Z, Biggie, The Lox, Onyx, Kool G Rap, KRS ONE(that's right, him too) and a host of other recording artists. Not to mention a lot of underground East Coast rappers on these mix tapes with the same content. After the popularity of the West Coast rappers, all of a sudden, almost every rapper on the East Coast is a gangster, a killer, and a drug dealer! PROVE ME WRONG!
@@juliancolvil5124 oh you mean the lyrics and image, the philosophy, I get it. That's right they changed a lot in the early 90's. It's like 2Pac before Death Row and after.
