Hey thanks, those noises in the original song I think are a synth. I used an Electro Harmonix Frequency Analyzer. It's a ring modulator.

Hey this is James. That was an Electro Harmonix Frequency Analyzer pedal. Its a ring modulator. Playing a harmonic then sweeping the knobs around.
