JM Planning Essentials has wonderful products. I'm incredibly picky about the quality of paper in notebooks and really love everything about her lined notebooks (weight, tooth, color). She has sent me handwritten notes and responded to my questions. These are the kind of companies that we need to give our support. Love her!
Thank you for chiming in about Joanne and her products:) I agree that Joanne is a gem and treats her customers so well. And her paper is AMAZING! Thanks for sharing your experience with her company.
Great video Amanda! I have picked a good few of these products up on your recommendations and have loved them! I love paper and notebooks and writing so much! Thank you so much for making these wonderful videos for us so that we can share our love of stationery :)
Yay for Katie Daisy!! You convinced me to get one for 2022 to use as a gratitude journal. It's like a journal and scrapbook pad in one for like 12 bucks. You can't beat that!
I love the slight transparency of the Leuchtherm for exactly the same reason, Amanda. The "lived in" feel of the pages helps me recognize the effort I've put in. I did decide to try a Passion Journal of the same B4 size to see if the 120 gsm paper works for me, and while it is a beautiful journal and well made, I miss the feel of the 80 gsm paper. For a while there STM teased having 100 gsm, which I would love to try, but that was a very limited run and I just can't find a B4 journal in 100 gsm. Oh well, I'm in the PJ for at least another year and a half. We'll see what's available then. I might go back to the Leuchtherm. Also, you were the one who introduced me to 5-year journals and we are just getting through the first year of ours. I can't wait for the years to come when we'll get to read the previous years' entries. Thank you!
Hi Amanda! I’m a new subscriber. I just found your RUclips channel a few days ago! I must tell you it was God send! I do not journal but I will start to journal this year! I been wanting to do it but I keep putting it off but this is the year for me to start and do it! Seeing your videos (I only seen two so far) have really helped me and inspire me to finally start journaling! Also which product to use for this! There is a world of so many amazing companies out there that have journals, notebooks, gratitude journals that leaves me in awe! After having watched this video I decided to use the Unbound five year planner. I love the idea of having five years all in one place! Being able to look back at those five years in one journal. I will also be buying the KD gratitude journal! I love the design! I love the colors! As soon as I saw it, it put a smile in my face! Is just so beautiful! I love it’s lay out! I will be buying those two from the links you have posted on this video! I have one question: since I will be doing a lot of writing this year journaling and writing in my gratitude journal can you please recommend me a pen that is really comfortable to write with and that is will be comfortable for my fingers as I write? I noticed when I write for a while if I’m taking down notes at church my finger hurts. Thank you for this amazing video! I love it! Thank you for your RUclips channel! Taking the time to do these videos Amanda!!! One last question: do you recommend any faith journals? Thank you! Have a bless day!
Hi & welcome:) A faith journal I love is Write the Word from Cultivate what matters:) I included it in one of my Powersheets review videos here on youTube (same company)-I also have a separate IGTV review on them which I just reposted in my Instagram stories today. if you are on Instagram you can find me @ amandasfavorites A favorite pen is Pentel Energel (i like the .5) Or Uniball signo Dx .38 . thanks for taking time to share and chat! Enjoy your new 5 yr and KD journal:)
@@AmandasFavorites Thank you for taking the time to reply to my questions Amanda! I really appreciate it! I just order the homeschool planner that you did a review for in another video from that company you just mentioned. I also just bought from them three of their faith journals. I got the bundle that has three and I was able to save $12 as well as $10 off since I bought two homeschool planners. One of the faith journals I’m giving it as a wedding gift, the one that says joy and the other two I’m keeping for me: refresh your mind and prayer. Thank you so much for having shared the information of the homeschool planner. I shared your video of it with three families from my church that also homeschool. Thank you so much. I will look into those pens you mentioned! Thank you so much! I thank God so much for you and having found your channel! I used your affiliated link to buy the homeschool planner so that you get the commission for that purchase.
Oh, this makes me so happy to hear:) I am so glad my videos have been a help for you! Thank you for passing them long to your friends & thank you for using my affiliate link to purchase! That helps me continue my channel work:) Enjoy your homeschool planner & write the word journals and have a blessed year:)
Thank you for sharing. I am a notebook junkie. I am definitely interested in either the LEUCHTTURM 5-YEAR or the UNBOUND 5-YEAR. Need to go back and watch the review videos. I always enjoy your videos.
Aw, thank you Debbie:) I think you will love either one, but they are very different! I am sure after watching the comparison video you will know which one you want to go with:)
@@AmandasFavorites Your video was very helpful and I decided to go with the Unbound 5 year. I am a messy writer and like having lines. I also like the white paper. Thank you very much.
Thank you so much! I love the notebook and journals review! I promised myself to stick to my bullet journal this year to explore what kind of planning system I liked. I realized that having my memories in the bullet journal would not be a nice idea as I would not like to keep so many notebooks around. I have decided to start a 5-year journal. It is a big commitment for me but I really do wish I am able to keep up with it. It would be nice if you could do a video about your daily routine with your notebooks and how you're able to be so diligent with your writing routine.
A 5 year journal is such a fulfilling and easy journal to keep up with:) And like @simplyalethia responded....my quarterly planning updates playlist will share my whole system with you. And when I do my 2022 Stack video which also goes in those Planning updates playlists I will answer this question. Thanks for watching:)
Love notebooks! It's kind of ridiculous how many I have. Joanne's notebooks are great and she's so nice! I like the Stalogy paper more so that Hobonichi as well. I bought a B6 but didn't use it. I'm going to gift it to my brother. I have a half year A5 that I was using as a daily when needed. I have an Archer and Olive notebook that I haven't used yet and I've had it for a while lol. I signed up for their sub box in September. I agree the Katie Daisy's planner makes a great journal.
Hey Jennifer:) I love hearing all about what you've had and used too:) Notebooks are the best because they never go out of date and they have unlimited uses! I am glad you love them as much as I do:)
I am thinking of starting a 5 year journal. Yes, I know it is a couple days into 2022 already. But I will probably get the Unbound one. Need to decide on a cover color tho. I can get the Some lines a day one cheaper. But I not like not having lines to write on. And not like the bleed thru that Leuchtturm is famous (or infamous) for having. I want to read what I wrote those days. Not be distracted with pen bleeding from a previous page.
I was gifted a LEUCHTTURM 5 year journal some years ago and never used it. Now im inspired to start using it..... If I can only figure out where I may have stashed it :D
I'm on my 5th year using Katie Daisy and just love everything about her planners. I do my weekly planning in a plain Moleskine and then transfer daily tasks to KD. There's also pages for notes and dedicated pages for gratitude. I also cut out her charming artwork from old planners and paste them into my visual journal and prayer journal. KD is a litte higher than $11 in Canada but can be had for around $19 on amazon if you grab it at the right time when it is on sale. Would love to order Planner Perfect because I like her scripting method but the shipping costs are high to Canada and the monthly price makes it unaffordable to do 12 months. I have two beautiful Leuchtturms - the red and the tangerine - the covers feel wonderful and appreciate the indexing and off white paper- I sometimes have to force myself to write in them because they feel luxurious to me. Leuchtturms can be pricey too but they do go on sale. Am thinking about starting the Leuchtturm 5 year journal thanks to your review Michaels here used to sell beautiful soft cover plain notebooks for $9.00 but for some reason they discontinued them. Thank you for your reviews.

@@AmandasFavorites I'm a list maker....I have more notebooks than I can count. Prefer to use fountain pens when possible. At the age of 57, I decided to start journaling. Can you imagine? Perhaps a sticky roller on the linen cover to keep it looking lovely? ✍️🌻
I am so very sorry for your great loss:( I can't imagine the hole you are feeling this holiday season. Hugs and prayers for you. And how wonderful that you are so open minded that you would pick up journaling then. I agree that it is so helpful to get all those feelings, and thoughts out onto paper. Sticky Roller does work for the lint...thank you!
