I have used Erin Condren's planner for 14 years. Now that I dont work anymore, I can't justify how expensive a basic EC planner is. I'm not that busy anymore. Just use a planner for appts and my zone cleaning. I'm gonna try Bloom planners .
My “best planner” is the NEW She Plans weekly planner. Liked sewn version, but new book bound and new layout is perfect for me. Thanks for all videos Amanda.
This is my first time putting more thought into a planner beyond “whatever is available at Target” 😆 I went with Passion Planner Weekly because it has the right amount of structure for me, and I love the little extras (habit tracker, monthly reflection, little gratitude section). And I love their free printables, which I can see myself adding to the plentiful blank pages in the back!
New subscriber here. Thank you so much for your videos. They helped me make my 2025 planner purchase...a Hemlock and Oak weekly. Your review, the fact they are Canadian (me too!), and work so diligently on sustainability made it the right one to try. I can't wait to get it and start using it!
My "best planner" is the plum paper vertical columns. I've been using this setup since 2021 and it is working great for me. I use it to keep on top of appts and other general to-dos.
Btw you could review the two Katie Daisy 2025 Weekly Planners. They are absolutely stunning because of the illustrations and might be something for people who want to use less decorative stickers and washi tape, but still want a beautiful inside of their planner.
@@SoniaMiya I've been looking at the daily, but can't decide if I should get the undated or the Duo for 2025. The undated has planning pages, but the duo has a dated monthly calendar...the regular daily I can't tell if it would be too heavy. Wish we could hold samples.
The regular daily is VERY chunky;) If you watch my 2024 review video on it I think you will be able to tell in the video how big it is. I don't have the 2025 Duo in my hands yet...but I think I would pick that over the full year. But I don't love a heavy planner. So it's personal preference. Good luck on that decision!
I use the Plum ME for my catchall. My labels are: morning, afternoon, priorities, goals (for when I’m going to do my Makselife weekly actions), H&W (health & wellness), and a blank box so I can have overflow space. I also label the bottom sidebar for my meal plan.
My fav is Passion Planner for sure. It’s my ride or die. I need absolutely every one of their weekly list checkboxes, and it’s currently the only way my mind works! 😅
Currently I have a ECLP A5 as a weekly planner, a EC Goals Planner for my 12 Week Year Goals, a Leuchtturm1917 as my 12 Week Year Journal, a Carpe Diem Budget Planner, and a meal planner notepad. Next year I want to combine these into two. I will get a ECLP Vertical for all appointments, to dos and meal planning, and a Plum Paper Planner Horizontal with extra dot grid pages and budget pages to have the 12 Week Year goals planning and journaling and my budgeting in one planner. Thank you for all your videos, they really helped me to find a good combination. And you got me the idea to get an extra cover from EC to fit on my Plum Paper Planner since I am not such a big fan of their cover designs.
@@AmandasFavorites Well I realized that the plum paper planner horizontal won't have enough space for journaling... :/ I watched a few videos about Powersheets and how people use the quarterly refreshs when it fits their lives. That got me the idea to order a Powersheets and start already in December. And then I can do a quarterly refresh at the end of February, May, August and November to represent the end of each season. So I am going to try that for 2025. :)
I'm really enjoying my Laurel Denise Portrait planner, as my monthly and daily list planner. I wasn't sure, but after watching your Makse Life video, I just ordered their new 2025 planner and folio. I am not quite sure it will be my main planner (I also love Erin Condren and would love to try Plum Paper), but I figured if I don't use it as my main planner, I can use it for my 'commonplace' notebook (where I track reading and do a years worth of quotes from my reading. I used an Erin Condren this year for that, with a horizontal layout and loved it!). I also love your idea of journaling in a planner as well! Thanks for great videos and inspiration! :)
I love that the Portrait planner is working so well for you:) And I can't wait to hear how you like Makselife once we get into 2025:) I also love your ideas on the commonplace planner;) xxx
Thank you for sharing all of this information. I’m very new to this type of planners, but I believe I’ve decided on Erin Condrin, but even in her planners, there are so many options. My main focus is health and budgeting. Though I have many more these are most important. Do you or your community have recommendations for a Starter Planner?
Erin Condren all the way. I have tried Day Designer and MakseLife, but neither of them really worked for me. Especially now that Erin Condren offers slimmer, soft-bound variations. I'm still trying to find the best layout for me as I've transitioned from college, to working life, to being a sahm. I've also had to learn how often I use them and what I like to put in them.
I still think the Hobo Cousin is the best planner layout if only they would increase the size of the grid. I don’t write large but since I learned back in the day we were taught cursive I can’t shrink my printing like most people who use that paper do. All this to say I’m still on the hunt for a 2025 planner. Thanks for these comparisons
My favorjte planner js EC I really need to cut expenses this year so I bought Passionate Penny Pincher on launch day at a good sale price so I wil probably stop there. .
I've been binging your videos for the past hours and some multiple times and I still can't pick a planner!! A few years ago, you suggested in my comment to try out Personal Planner based on my needs and honestly it worked very well. I just want to try something different and/or better. Good quality and paper weight are important to me to have that "luxurious" feel without ghosting, horizontal weekly and/or daily layout with decent amount of writing space, and weekend inclusion is unimportant (prefer them to be as small as possible) as I'm using it for work. Do prefer coil/spiral/disc over bound. Which specific planners would you recommend? I had EC before and found it too overwhelming and I personally don't need or like all the bells and whistles. Thank you in advance!
what about simplified Daily or Weekly? You could build a golden coil and I feel like that might be the perfect option from what you described. I would recommend hemlock & oak new horizontal weekly or their daily - but they are both bound. Plum Paper has a a lot of customization and might work for you. Sprouted Daily is such a good daily for work I feel like...but there are a lot of other monthly reflection pages which from the sound of it you don't want in there. Or Day Designer weekly is horizontal and or their daily might work. I hope that helped some?!
@@AmandasFavorites Thank you for the recommendations! I just checked out all of them and I'm debating between Simplified Weekly and Plum Paper Mon-Fri grid layout! From your various videos, it seems like Plum Paper has 70# paper and Simplified has 80#? I use gel ink pens. I believe both are smooth but is one more toothy than the other? Golden Coil looks very pretty and quality too, but I find that the pages have a lot wasted space at the top of each page for my needs.
I have a few years back:) You should be able to find the review by just typing "Happy Planner" into my channel search bar. If you can't find it I am happy to help!
Oh yes, I forgot to ask you: have you seen Kelly Rae Roberts 2025 planner? You can order it on her website for 2025 - it's like Katie Daisy artwork, but I love her artistry just as much, or even more. Would love to see a review on it, but I don't think you can order it anywhere, but her website. I've got it for 2025, and will probably journal in it, as it's smaller. :)
I've never heard of that planner! I am going to check it out right now...okay that is stunning! I will have to see if they will send me one:) One my list;)
I haven't gotten into that yet...I have done a few videos about Trello and digital notes...but not digital planners:) thanks for letting me know what you would like to see;)
Neorah planners are hands down the best! 🏆 Their 2025 planners just dropped, and I can't wait to get mine! ✨📅 Perfect for staying organized and stylish all year long! 😍
Can you please advise on which Plannerkate sticker kit you have used on the Laurel Denise regular planner? I’ve visited their website but they only have kits for LD mini size. Thank u!
LD kits are under "monthly" since that is where her kits go since you always see her monthly spread;) Here is a link to those: www.plannerkate.com/category/laurel-denise-standard-monthly Sorry it took me a while to get back since I got home from vacation just a few days ago it's been a crazy catch up time!
