I’m a planner person myself (just set my cleaning schedule for 2021). Picking the perfect planner is such a important pick. I went with the Living Well Planner this year, but I love seeing other planners. ❤️
I have never gotten that one for a review....yet....Thanks for sharing;) I agree taking time to pick the right one for your life at the time is important!
I’ve always bought a structured planner which does help- but i really love the freedom of empty pages! There’s more room and I also waste a lot of pages on a regular planner! I have never tried a bullet journal but I think i wanna try that! A mix of creating my own art with style!
I learned about the KitLife daily planner from Amanda, rather recently when they had 2020-2021 planners 25% off and I was able to use her %5 off code to get a crazy good deal (I paid somewhere around $17). At the price point, this planner is absolutely fantastic! I definately need a daily and loved that this reminds me to prioritize myself. Would absolutely buy again. Also, I bout the 2022 Power Sheets for the first time and plan to use these together and be really intentional in the year to come!
Thanks for this video! I actually ordered a plum paper planner last week and I am so excited to get it. I’m glad it made your top five. I also do calligraphy so that smooth paper that you talk about is fabulous for the brush pens! So that’s a good thing about the smooth paper!
I am super late watching this video! I stopped needing a daily over the summer, but I'm going to need to jump back into one again in January when my job changes, so your channel is the first place I looked to decide. I know the EC Duo, but I'm wanting something just a little different. DURING your video, I went in and bought a Kitlife. What a price! Worth trying.... Then oh boy, that JM Planning planner! Thanks for giving me something to think about with a great thorough review!
Oh, good:) Glad to hear it was helpful Stephanie:) Great time to try kitlife out;) And JM planning has a 10% off code for new customers it's in the description...I didn't know about it when I made the video. And JM's Daily is on sale for $19.00 right now I think;)
Realize I need a daily for documenting what i actually ended up doing each day. I use a notebook/bullet journal for forward and in the moment daily planning, lists, etc. I was going to go with Emily Ley or Hobonichi, but suddenly Passion Planner jumped out at me as a way to document AND have some accountability and reflection. Still not 100% sure yet, but leaning toward Passion Planner.
Thank you for this! I ordered the Day Designer for my work planner and I used your code. I’m looking forward to trying it out - it looks like exactly what I need for work. I got the full size one since it will be sitting on my desk and not be carried around.
I started following you about a year ago when I was on a mission to find a planner that would work for me. I was intrigued by your first review of Monk Manual, and have been using it since. Thanks for giving time in your videos to so many different planner companies and such a variety of planners!
Thanks Amanda, I just ordered the kitlife daily for 2021 on Black Friday sale with your coupon code. I am all set in the planner world for 2021 with this kit life, a makse life and power sheets! What really stood out to me about the kit life this year is the monthly page you shared that has the 14 something lines for habit tracking. Last year the monthly habit tracking was only in their weekly if I recall correctly. Thanks for all your awesome reviews!
Oh, you have a great line up! And yes...you are right. The Habit tracker was only in their weekly last year:) I love the changes they made this year;) Happy Holidays!
Yeay!!! Plum paper made it into top 5. 👍😊 They have added another customisation function... Now you can add your own holidays or special events in the monthly spreads just like golden coil 😀
I’m so happy to see Plum Paper in your top 5! I have been using their daily for a month now and it’s really working well for me. I pair it with a happy planner weekly dashboard layout. That’s my current planner peace :)
Great video. I really love Erin Condrens planners the best. I really love the quality of paper. I really like calendars on dated so I can run things as I want. You showed some great choices and of course I can tape over dates etc. thanks for showing us. Great that you have your kids help you with videos too as technology is always changing. Thanks again
I have a Wanderer’s Way Travellers Notebook in A5 and I love it. It has a gorgeous thick leather cover and comes with 3 sizeable notebook inserts with paper that is fountain pen friendly for under $40 CDN on their website and Amazon.
This was GREAT! JM Planning...never heard of it! It looks super cool. That paper has sold me! WOOT! Glad to see your in love with your Planner Perfect! I knew you would enjoy it!
Thanks for doing this review. I ordered the daily 6 month from Plum Paper, customized. I figure if I make it more personalized I am more likely to use it. WOW. With exchange, shipping and duty to Canada its going to cost me a pretty penny. I’ll consider it a late Xmas gift to myself since we went nowhere and bought very few gifts this year. 🇨🇦
Thanks for the tip on JM planning essentials. Just picked up several dailies and notebooks for myself and for gifts. I can't wait to get my hands onto that paper! And as a sidenote, I plan to use the daily as a "weekend planner", where i use each daily page to plan my weekend. I can add things to it throughout the week so that I have a full to-do list and other bits ready for saturday morning.
Great video! Is there anyone else who is a little bothered by the coils in planners? When I write on the left page of a coiled planner, it's always in my way and I don't write as neatly as I would on the right page :)
I think there are many people like you that it really bothers...I've heard those same sentiments before. I am not that bothered by it when I fold the book over on it's back.
I realized I tend to like weekly planners more. But I definitely enjoyed watching the various daily planners that I may possibly consider using 2 planners in the future 🤔😊
I agree on the Passion Planner, love it except the telling me how to organize my day part. Used a whole book but had to use stickers to cover up the headers and that became a headache. Currently LOVING the Franklin Covey Japan B6 bound daily. If you like Tomoe River Paper this daily is awesome!
I just have to say thank you so much for your thorough reviews. I just used your affiliate link and purchased the EC Weekly Planner for 2021. I've been watching your videos for the past week and finally made a decision!! I went with the vertical weekly in the colorful layers design. So excited to get it and start planning!
Super excited to watch this as I've tried a few different planners this year including: Day Designer (Target version), Panda Planner, and a Simplified monthly. None of these have worked for me, nor have I been super excited to use them. I think wanting to work in a planner that's pretty, functional, and ergonomic is important. Oh, I've tried planner apps and they are a hard pass. This year I'm investing in a solid and functional planner!
I hope it helps you in your search;) And I agree...loving the aesthetic and feel of your planner is just as important as it being a functional layout for you;)
I love how detailed your videos are. Would you ever do a homeschool favourites? I would love to see your favourite curricula and books. Maybe even a favourites per grade since you have older children. Thanks in advance. 😀
Thank you:) I have done a few homeschool videos and they haven't been popular. I will think on it;) My favorite curriculium is The Good and the Beautiful for every subject but Math....we have also liked teaching Textbooks (math) and Math Mammoth. And LOVE to read good books! Books that entertain both my 12 year old and I are the best!
Are there any companies besides EC that make a. 8.5"x11" lined notebook with 80# paper with some tooth? I love the EC notebooks because of that awesome paper and would like to try some other companies too.
Are you talking about the brown leather Travelers Notebook? That is from Planner Perfect and I have an entire video about her Leather Tns and all the colors I have. Here is the link to that video and her site is linked in this video description as well as this one;) ruclips.net/video/IpRdCmu4hOg/видео.html
Always look forward to your top 5 videos. I wish Passion Planner would not print the half hour times in the daily schedule. On an already busy page, just makes it busier. Also, not every appointment begins on the half hour.
What is your top recommendation for a planner that doesn't have a coil ? I'm left handed so using coiled planners never really works for me because my hand is resting where the coil is lol
I haven't reviewed as many Daily Planners without a coil...but here are some dailies I have reviewed that I like: Monk Manual, Passion Planner Daily, Full Focus Planner, commit 30 daily, Hobonichi Cousin. Erin Condren makes a Petite Daily Planner A-5 Size sewn quarterly books...they just came out for 2022. I haven't reviewed them yet...but I have this years set on here and they have only small changes in them. I do plan on getting this years set to review;) Hope that helps some.
I was really interested in Planner Perfecr until I saw how expensive they are. $25 for a 1 month TN is just ridiculous to me. Are they really worth that price. You would spend $300 a year just on the monty inserts.
They are wonderful quality....but it's really what you want to spend your discretionary income on. These books are not just planners, but Memory keepers for a lifetime. You also don't have to use one per month...I talk about that in a few of my other Planner Perfect vids. You can get one that is blank (or lined, dot grid, graph grid....) and use it for several months. Many people only need one page per day not the 2 that is given to you in her plan books.
I love your planner videos, as always. One small note: the EC Daily Duo is still listed as $68 on the site, unless you get a foiled cover, and then it’s $73. This just stuck out to me because I wondered if the price had gone up already, so I had to double check.
What's the difference in the size (page #, weight, size of coil) of an EC 12 month vs 18 month? I'd like to get back on an academic year in a weekly hourly. I'll probably uncoil it to put in lined pages for sermon notes and memory keeping. I like everything in one place. Thanks - I love your videos and do plan to order through your link when I figure out which way I'm gonna go.
Let me put this on my list to do this week and get back to you with the numbers. If you don't hear back from me on Friday will you email me please:) My email is the description:) Thanks!
@@AmandasFavorites hey Amanda, my son just gave me his Passion planner to get me through until I can order an EC in July! He had barely used it. It’s a little large but I’m going to make do until then. But I’m still going to watch all your videos and day about planners 😃 I hope they do a flower power type one again, I just love it so much.
@@sarahdavis7566 Oh, great:) And here is the information: 12 month 1.25 in. Coil, 1 lb 7oz --- 18 Month 1.5 in. Coil, 1lb 15oz.....I don't have the page counts maybe that is on their website. Also I show the 12 month vs the 18 month side by side in this comparison video where I have ALL the layouts and design options: ruclips.net/video/GguH-tiyLt4/видео.html Hope that helps:)
@@AmandasFavorites Oh wow! Thank you so much for doing that Amanda. I went on the website yesterday to see the cost etc. and I see that there isn't really an 18 month any more. You can get one that starts in Nov 2020 and goes to Dec 2021. Or the yearly 12 month version. I might have to just be patient after all 😃 I have an academic for my kids homeschool but that isn't going to work as my daily. I have fallen in love with time blocking. It helps me manage my day for realistically. I got off the academic schedule because I tried 6 months of She Plans - but I wasn't a fan of that planner. I really like seeing the entire week. Blah, Blah, Blah. Why do I love planners so much!?
I have used the Hobonich's (all of them;) And the Jibun techo:) I have videos on all of them too:) And the cousin almost made it into this video....so hard to narrow it down:) Thanks for taking time to watch and share your favorite:)
Thanks for this video , it was very informative, I wanted to try a different daily planner . I’ve been using a target daily but the see through cover falls out 🙄
I don't have a code for JM planning essentials:( She is a very small company one woman show and I think Ive only gotten one code before. But if you follow her on Instagram she does run specials and sales;)
Anyone know of a planner with wire binding that’s tall and skinny (approximately 4” x 8”)? I found a tn notebook that’s this size and I love it. It’s just a generic one. I use it as a 2 page weekly, then using a couple pages for daily logs. Just wondering if there is anything like this size with wire bound in a planner. Thanks for any leads! Thanks!
@@AmandasFavorites I would love to see you do a review of their planner system sometime, please, and get your insights about it. I am considering it but undecided. Thank you for answering my comment.
I probably won't ever be able to get that for review. Huge companies like that just don't generally send out review items to someone like me. But I keep it in mind and on my list:)
Amanda - This comprehensive review was outstanding! I think I settled on the EC life planner, but how would I receive the $10 off code? (There's already a special price in effect, but I'm wondering if you have a seperate code for the $10 off to enter in the promo section. Many thanks!
To get the $10 OFF code you have to be a new customer and never given them your email address before. You sign up for an account through the link in my description labeled $10 OFF Erin Condren. They will then email you a $10 OFF code very quickly. You should be able to use it with the sale discount going on now:)
@@AmandasFavorites Thanks Amanda. This link didn't get me to the discount code for me for some reason, but in the interim, I've become very turned off by EC. A bit of feedback for you, given your expertise in planner vendors: I've had some bad customer service experiences with EC over the weekend - I found their responses both generic in nature and inaccurate. I also wasn't too happy with the lack of personalization. Luckily, I also explored Plum Paper and found everything I was seeking - super customer service that really addressed my concerns and tons of customization. Just thought I'd pass along my 2 cents...
Thank you for sharing that Karen. I agree that EC customer Service is VERY generic and remote in their responses...which I don't like either. But anytime I have had an issue with a product they have sent me a new one and been very fast and responsive. But I am glad you found Plum Paper....I am going to do a new review for them in the new year. I just placed my order for it;)
I love how detailed and thorough you are with your reviews. I will admit I had fomo and got a Simplified for '21 even though I pretty much knew I don't like hard covers. I thought I would try it because I like everything else about her company. I had about a month of looking at it, trying frixion pens in it to see if I could get it to work for me and ultimately decided to hand it over to my daughter and go back to Plum Paper for the first half of '21....but with an EC cover because theirs are brighter and I like the designs more.
Well at least you really know what you like;) It's hard not to be lured in by the pretty shiny jewels of the planner world! And Hopefully your daughter will enjoy the Simplified:)
Aah I really appreciate your videos. Any ideas for a Faith Planner? I currently use HP Faith but I want more space to write my scriptures. I watched this video with the hope of finding maybe a way to use a daily planner as a faith planner but I don't know..
I think Amanda had here (or on her IG) the Cultivate What Matters Write the Word journals. One of them is blank for you to put your own scripture in, and others are pre-determined based on the topic of the journal.
Write the word journals from Cultivate what matters or any blank journal would be my recommendation for that. If you really wanted something dated then Kitlife probably has the most room for journal writing....and I have a friend that has used it for that purpose;)
Skin Deep. Hi, the ‘Dream Planner’ by Horacio printing sometimes called ‘The Best is Yet to Come’ is a really good faith based planner. I just bought several for friends today on the cyber Monday sale, I bought the black leather ones. You can also choose a horizontal layout or a vertical layout. Each page has a bible verse etc.
I always love your video's and I have gotten some great planners from your suggestions but I am very disappointed with JM Planning Essentials, I ordered on 11/19/20 and got an email saying my order was processed but the tracking has never started nor has anyone responded to an email I sent on 11/30. I am afraid I should not have bought. Any suggestions, Thank you.
Oh no! Joanne seems to care about her customers so much. Are you on Instagram? I would reach out to her there if you are. If not then send another email. Ive been following her on Instagram for years and she seems like a very upstanding & caring person. there must a glitch on why you haven't heard back because I have never heard anyone else having any problems with her company. I am sorry you are dealing with this...I know it's frustrating.
I have it linked in the description of this video: bit.ly/3oyidVQ There it it;) That is their academic year planners. Their new 2021 calendar year launch Nov 16th and I will have a full review video up on them early that morning (11-16). Hope that helps:)
Well off the top of my head...Passion Planner Daily, Monk Manual, Hobonichi Cousin (any A-5 sized book)...but if I remember correctly Wendy I Don't think you would love any of those for your Daily Lists;) What are you using right now? JM Planning Essentials little Daily notebook if you don't mind undated....Plum Paper in an A-5 if you can go to that size would be more portable than the 7x9 pages;)
This and you are such an inspiration! I've said it before but this is really so great to watch. Keeps us updated and informed of changes and details we might have missed. Never stop. #lottaloveplanners =)
It's not a personal fave of mine (for many reasons). A few reasons...I don't love their font & look...my daily book was HUGE...I didn't love my daily cover or their choices. But honestly I haven't reviewed them in a long time. I should do an updated review if I can get them to work with me;) I do think they have amazing customization....but their site was hard for me to navigate. These just my personal faves from the reviews I've done. I also don't have a current Agendio...so If I haven't worked with the company in the past 12-24 months then I won't be able to choose them. Hope that helps:)
I've been searching planners for a long time. I wish I could get customized planner at affordable prices in india. Especially if someone is an entrepreneur
I bought the daily duo after your review. I never was consistent with a planner, but man this one was a game changer!
Oh, good:) I am glad you have loved it!
Same here. Daily duo is the first planner I've used consistently for 6 months. I found planner peace with it

@@AmandasFavorites thank you for replying. I'm going to check out your other Planner Perfect videos.
I love your planner videos, as always. One small note: the EC Daily Duo is still listed as $68 on the site, unless you get a foiled cover, and then it’s $73. This just stuck out to me because I wondered if the price had gone up already, so I had to double check.
Thank you for letting me know! I made a mistake there:/ I appreciate you sharing that:)
@@AmandasFavorites I always hate to point that out because you put so much work into it, but I figured you'd want to know...right?
What's the difference in the size (page #, weight, size of coil) of an EC 12 month vs 18 month? I'd like to get back on an academic year in a weekly hourly. I'll probably uncoil it to put in lined pages for sermon notes and memory keeping. I like everything in one place. Thanks - I love your videos and do plan to order through your link when I figure out which way I'm gonna go.
Let me put this on my list to do this week and get back to you with the numbers. If you don't hear back from me on Friday will you email me please:) My email is the description:) Thanks!
@@AmandasFavorites Thank you - I really appreciate it!
Also I show the 12 month vs the 18 month side by side in this comparison video where I have ALL the layouts and design options: ruclips.net/video/GguH-tiyLt4/видео.html
Hope that helps:)
Why do I love planners so much!?
you should check out japanese stationary and planners. they are beautifully simple and minimalist.
I’ve been using a target daily but the see through cover falls out 🙄
Glad it was helpful! Good luck in choosing:)
Hi Amanda! Have you reviewed the Faith & Focus Planner by Christian Planner yet? I enjoy it as a daily planner
I haven't. But thanks for sharing that you are loving it!
Thanks, Amanda! Great info. I'm interested in trying the JM Planner. Would you happen to have a code for this? Perhaps a shipping code?
I don't have a code for JM planning essentials:( She is a very small company one woman show and I think Ive only gotten one code before. But if you follow her on Instagram she does run specials and sales;)
She has a welcome code on the home page of her site!
Hi I wish that the time blocks were blank times to were you write in the time you want
Thanks for sharing & watching:) I can see how that would be helpful:)
My favorite daily is the passion planner.
That's a great one:) Thanks for chiming in with your fave:)
Thank you so much... I am going to follow up on the JM undated... awesome reviews as always!!!
Wonderful:) Thanks for watching!
Thank you for this. You communicate the information very effectively. Can I order PlumPaer today ? The larger size 8.5" x 11"
Yes you can! You can start it any month you wish:)
I twist Alex Kelly call
Anyone know of a planner with wire binding that’s tall and skinny (approximately 4” x 8”)? I found a tn notebook that’s this size and I love it. It’s just a generic one. I use it as a 2 page weekly, then using a couple pages for daily logs. Just wondering if there is anything like this size with wire bound in a planner. Thanks for any leads! Thanks!
Right now off the top of my head I am not coming up with anything....hopefully someone that reads this will chime in;)
The happy planner skinny classic size is similar so you might like that if they release one for 2022.
Have you ever reviewed the Franklin Planner? What is your opinion of their planners?
I haven't. I did use franklin covey in High school (back in the 90's)....a very long time ago:)
I just placed my order for it;)
Great content. Very helpful!
Glad it was helpful!
@@AandEKline thanks I'll check it out
Write the word journals from Cultivate what matters or any blank journal would be my recommendation for that. If you really wanted something dated then Kitlife probably has the most room for journal writing....and I have a friend that has used it for that purpose;)
@@AmandasFavorites thanks
@@AmandasFavorites Thank you, I got in touch with her on Instagram and everything has been resolved.
Can't wait to see the Kitlife 2021 planner review. I love Kitlife planners.
YAY! I can't wait to share it too:) Mine is in the mail right now on the way to me:)
Have you ever reviewed or tried Michael Hyatt’s Full Focus Planner?
I have not. And only because I've gotten no response when I have reached out....It looks like a great planner;)
@@AmandasFavorites thanks for the reply!
Couldn't find kitlife overview on your channel. Does it exist?
I have it linked in the description of this video: bit.ly/3oyidVQ
There it it;) That is their academic year planners. Their new 2021 calendar year launch Nov 16th and I will have a full review video up on them early that morning (11-16). Hope that helps:)
What size is your planner perfect TN booklets.
Wide:)
I am not a fan of Erin Condrens current paper. It has so much tooth it bits. LOVE the Plum Paper Planners for all the custom options!!
Thanks for sharing your favorite and why:)
Did anyone try Wonderland? Amanda, do you have a review?
I do have a review in IGTV....Let me see if I can find the link.... instagram.com/tv/B65_6lKJnas/
Hope that works!
What are the lightest dailies? I need to schlepp mine around.
I’m really trying to figure the planners for 2021
Good for you for holding out and really giving it thought. I know it's not easy....
@@AmandasFavorites thanks so much Amanda
This and you are such an inspiration! I've said it before but this is really so great to watch. Keeps us updated and informed of changes and details we might have missed. Never stop. #lottaloveplanners =)
Aw, thank you so much! Your comment makes all the work on this video worth it:) Have a wonderful week!
Yes! The details are much appreciated. I also love the ideas for use thrown in.
Will you be doing a Top 5 Weekly planner video?
Yes! coming out this week NOV 10th:) And Top 5 goal planners, and top 5 hourly coming too:)
Day designer is my favorite layout however I can’t stand hard cover
Oh, man....well at least you know what you like and don't like:)
Just curious, why didn’t Agendio make the cut?
It's not a personal fave of mine (for many reasons). A few reasons...I don't love their font & look...my daily book was HUGE...I didn't love my daily cover or their choices. But honestly I haven't reviewed them in a long time. I should do an updated review if I can get them to work with me;) I do think they have amazing customization....but their site was hard for me to navigate. These just my personal faves from the reviews I've done. I also don't have a current Agendio...so If I haven't worked with the company in the past 12-24 months then I won't be able to choose them. Hope that helps:)
@@AmandasFavorites thanks! Just curious!
Thank you Amanda, very helpful and interesting.

Oh, man....that must be very frustrating. I am sorry:(
Ya🥰 thanks though .will probably make my own though
