The Hardcore Nuzlocke rules for this challenge:
1. Only catch the first New (Paldean) Pokemon that I see in each area.
2. If a Pokemon faints, it must be boxed permanently.
3. For Gym Battles/E4, must be at the highest Pokemon's level cap at the start of the fight.
4. No items in battle.
5. Play on Set Mode.
6. No Legendaries.
7. Duplicates Clause - I can re-roll an encounter if I have already caught one during the run.

I hope everyone enjoys playing Scarlet and Violet! Let me know what you think of the new games below!
Looks like your new-hated Pokemon is Flamigo
I am curious on the thought of the new paldea EVOLUTIONS…. Because if that was the case would you catch those Pokémon to evolve them to the NEW evolution? Considering them a new pokemon? Or did you avoid them? Example being Girafarig which in Paldea NOW evolves into Farigiraf…. Did you consider that a New Pokémon you could catch?
"It's time to take on Grusha and her ice type pokemon"
Immediately goes to comments section
🎶That...that
Dude looks like a lady!!!!🎶
Ya
Fyi. The grass starter's signature move Flower Trick always results in a critical hit
An interesting way of making these nuzlockes harder would be trying to take them to the credits roll, which surprisingly, is around 2-3 hours of play after the champion. It also has several other champion-tier fights to take on.
14:00 It's actually HIS ice Pokemon
For future reference, the "Let's Go" evolution method mentioned for Bramblin is talking about walking with it outside of it's PokeBall in the game, walking with your Pokemon is called Let's Go in this game. It wasn't referring to Pokemon Go or Let's Go Pikachu. This means it and others like it can pretty much be evolved a minute after capture cksmfm
The normal / flying type gym leader ain't the most boring person in pokemon but the most based one
Dude. You NEED to do the titan quest line. Everyone who has done it will agree with me when I say that it is not optional.
Wow I can't believe all that was a blind playthrough. That's both impressive, and kinda sad for the game difficulty
full share xp is retarded and you still can't turn it off
It's noy even the difficulty. Pokémon is just not well balanced at all 💀, it's way too skewed towards the player
I mean to be fair these games are made for kids particularly those aged between 7 and 12
Yeah Larry is some peak Do Not Underestimate material. I actually struggled a bit against Poppy as well, but mostly because I didn't have great counters for her Steel types (especially Tera Tinkaton).
8:06 As an Tumble Weed pokemon I'm offended and also you don't have to go outside to evolve him you just have to walk in a circle while he's out of his pokeball
The other people I've seen nuzlocking Scarlet/Violet used the first non-static Tera raid pokemon on each route as their encounter instead of the first you see, because "the first you see" will generally be the same, unless you know the game well enough to approach from weird directions to get what you want, which is somewhat counter to the spirit of nuzlocking.
Bro the lag💀
Yeah I refrained from complaining about the lag since the issues are well documented at this point. But it’s not great
I assume this was from before the game officially came out and pokemon usually makes a day 1 patch that fixes the game
It is new most game are lagy when they are new
@@usa_countryball_ didn’t used to be that way
@@solidsnake9924 complaining is not going to do anything to make it better though and it is new all the Pokemon games I have had that were new were exactly like that Legends Arceus was like that for me
The issue with the "first one I see" method for this is that you're always kinda going to see the same ones every time. It's going to be tough to make nuzlelock work in these games but with the open world any order format I'm excited to see what challange runs people come up with
That's exactly why I think themed nuzlockes are the only way to go in games without random encounters. Yes wonderlockes count as a theme, but they obviously have their own issues.
it's not open world when it's hand held, not scaled, and restricted making you go back when your taxi legendary gets a power up with sandwich. that's just linear with some optional branches and wider roads. not even close to open world. the only open world existing is a minecraft mod ffs
@@ejokurirulezz It is open world. Are you getting bogged down by loading screens every time you enter a new city or route? Sure it doesn’t *feel* like an open world game when you compare it to some of the most expansive ones, but it’s not meant to be. You’re exploring one region, not the whole damn world, which is where context kicks in.
The key to it being open world is that you have objectives but you’re not getting railroaded into things like “Hey you beat gyms 1 and 2, now take on token antagonistic team, and after somewhere between 5-7 badges you take one big bad evil guy and token legendary, oh and btw you can’t go to new places till I say you can, so stay where you are until you do what I want”
I think this game going to be great for mono nuzzlock
Great nuzlocke video you'll get em next time
> Has to sac multiple mons throughout the game
> Avoids the hardest fights in the game
> Loses
"This game is too easy"
Whut
The gyms and first two Elite Four were also only that easy for him because he often abused set-up moves.
Lost his fucking eyebrows for a sec LMAO
Why are they givin' one of the most important jobs in the region to a 4 year old?
I swear, I have watched like 20 Scarlet and Violet videos, and none of them have picked Sprigattito! Please give Sprigattito justice!
No
everyone picks fuecoco
7:42 most cursed moment in Pokemon
Wow this game is worse then I expected. Impressive
My first attempt I got killed by the first Tarastalization and my second attempt I lost to the Fire team start leader. You were very lucky to skip that leader.
Would have liked to see how you went about catching each team member because that really the only part that was kind-of in the air for a Nuzlocke, not the battles, since there’s no random encounters.
“First Pokémon you see”, wtf does that mean? Like the first one that spawns and meets the criteria?
I absolutely love the game, not gonna lie. I was going into it a bit blinded by nostalgia with a few negative thoughts already but it blew me away for the most part. I love every aspect of it and playing it on my TV with the Switch docked removed all of the lag, it really is one of the best Pokémon games for a long time in my opinion :)
Is the frame rate actually like that 💀
No I think he's playing on Ryujinx.
Nope I've been playing on my switch detached and not had any issues
Yeah it is. There have been a few articles talking about frame rate issues now. Hopefully they get patched out quickly
yup, defenitly the second biggest flaw of the game so far for me
the biggest is the fact we can't break into other peoples houses anymore, like, what the hell
It’s like that when docked but handheld it’s a lot better
I think this might be how I try to play Nuzlockes from now on. It gets a little tiring using the same pokemon over and over again so perhaps using region specific pokemon will spice things up.
10:06 oh my sweet child, let me tell you something.... Blind runs are so hard
That professor or teacher in the classroom looks like the science teacher in Miraculous Ladybug.
I think the Lets Go is where you throw out the pokemon and it attacks by itself
Yeah, idk why they called it that, it is just the mechanic where you bring out your pokemon and walk with them
Really hope they scale down the power boost from terastalization
My first attempt, my fuecoco got killed because the rock titan opens with a skill that blocks swapping out. No items.
Is it just my video or does this game have some bad frame rates in certain areas? Just looks so slow and laggy at certain parts. Great video and nice attempt!
This was probs before the ptch
It might not be you, I've seen the same issues from people who've stream it to and the reviews have said the same thing
I'm not entirely sure what's going on here bc while there is some lag at times, I don't remember any lag being anywhere near this bad in my experience. It feels like a footage issue over a gameplay one
I liked sword and shields non open world theme better less complicated that why still a good game from what I’ve seen though
Meowscaradas flower trick move always lands a crit
LARRY THE GOAT!
To be fair you did choose the best starter that counters most gyms and e4
Army of Simps is mad funny 😄 😅
Flying type slander! I love flying, it's a good substitute for fire against grass, in places where there are too many water types (cough hoenn cough).
How about Sinnoh (original Diamond and Pearl)?
@@7swordquanta459 Hey I think you meant to comment, not reply?
@@dragonfly4441 Hmmm... more of to support your comment actually by adding some info. Original D&P never had too many Fire types. That's why Staraptor was a beast.
@@7swordquanta459 :) Thanks
Ayo why you gunning for Larry
Flower trick always crits
Meowscarda's Flower Trick always gets a critical hit fyi.
Grusha is a guy.
Also how dare you insult Larry, he's the best 😤 it came back to bite you though lmao
Personally, my nuzlocke rules are going to be this- I can only catch one every half hour until I have a full team, then one every hour. Whatever I'm battling, or the first one I run into, that's my encounter.
I basically catch whatever I want but I've lost five pokemon so far, little disappointed that no more auto battle trainers
I think I'm personally gonna say I can catch one of every species from a certain set of generations and go with that
I don’t like how you can’t use Set Mode
Also, terastallization makes the Pokémon the pure type, not adding the type to its existing type
Meowscarada’s Flower Trick always crits
With every other starter the gyms wouldn't be nearly as easy.
5:05 This isn’t breaking the game. There’s loads of way to get around that wall and onto the next gym. All legitimate
Actually you're allowed any pokemon in gen 9 if you manage to avoid running into them (pro nuzlocker told me about this rule
This footage is excruciating, did you slow down the footage at all or is this what it’s like in real time
Sadly this is how it runs ont he switch
It _definitely_ gets bad in spots, but I’ve never seen it this bad. Look up anyone else’s battle with Kofu for instance; I saw two poketubers play it live and a good number of others in uploads and it looked perfectly standard for them. Nothing like this..
There’s a massive memory leak though so if he played this in very long stretches at a time that might explain it, especially the fact that his problems did get progressively worse.
why are you so good at pronouncing words
II feel like you could make a really sarcastic video about how good the graphics are
Wtf is that minecraft animal doing in pokemon
14:00 bruh that’s no girl, that’s a pretty looking guy
I do think that Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is good, it does have its flaws definitely, but I think it’s better than Sword and Shield at least
You didn’t name Lechonk “Lechungus”, Dislike.
Nah I’m playin, great vid!
You do know Grusha’s a he, right?
I've seen a lot of people make that mistake 😔
Why do people call grusha a he?😅
@pokegod5509 Because he’s canonically male.
@pokegod5509 Because he’s canonically male.
@pokegod5509 Because he’s canonically male.
13:58 Grusha is actually a guy btw
The grass cat is better
Bro the lag
Grusha is HE tho :b
why are you getting such slow downs?? i mean i get a few hear and there but nothing even close to those on the videos?? maybe is the recording??
I defeated rhyme last
as a gen1er i personally liked most of generations, the only games i never liked was this, legends arceus and gen 5. franchise garbage. also do you even the game or are you watchign a power point presentation at this point?
Flamigo why
Doesn’t auto battle contradict the nuzlock since ur Pokémon can’t faint.
Nuzlockes have almost always been about trainer fights, level grinding is one of the most boring things in nuzlockes and auto battle just helps with that
@@eluhrion7406 I get the level grinding but what’s the point of nuzlock if u can autobattle wild pokemons a bit higher level than u and not take damage if u have type advantage and level to comfort.
Grusha is a guy
Removing Set Mode isn't that big of a deal when you can just choose to stay in
It's not big of a deal but still needlessly removed QoL feature
you didn't even do the other boss battles brother what. loses in only 1/3rd of the game and says he got far and declares it too easy.
This is just a normal playthrough of a new game with nuzlocke RULES how is this a challenge?
Case in point u can't nuzlock this game
Sorry hi
+
Can you really claim thsi is a Nuzlocke if you don’t beat the strongest trainer in the game
Yes. A nuzlocke is the set of self-enforced rules that make your run more interesting and challenging. If you fail your run, it’s still considered a nuzlocke.
