A lovely remake of a terrific song!
I have a memory of listening to this on the school bus headed home after the last day of my 6th grade. It was in the early 70s, on beautiful sunny afternoon, with the joyous eternity of a summer vacation stretching out before me. I was certain it would never end - ecstasy for a 6th grader! And the sadness and airiness of this song just intensified it.

I really like what you have done with this. I have played the song occasionally over the years, sticking very close to the original guitar arrangement, but was never really happy with it. Your simplified travis picking (sort of) arrangement is very appealing to me. Nice work. I might try this arrangement. ; )

@@kaileyjanemusic Sorry to hear about your ring finger. I almost lost my right thumb in a table saw accident decades ago. Fortunately, I kept the thumb but am unable to grow a proper thumbnail. I don't really mind. I prefer the base notes to be less pronounced anyway. As you probably know, some fingerstyle players just don't use their ring finger and seem to get along fine. That seems to be the case with you.
