Being that you bought this pre loved, that stamp is all the authentication you need. I would be ok with it. I do agree maybe the location could have been better.
Honestly,it would not bother me,as long as you get it for an amazing price, the bag does look really good, other then the stamp, sorry you are disappointed with your purchase.
I think that all bags with a red stamp should be disclosed at time of sale. It is misleading to not inform people of a red stamp because at the end of the day it is a defect that the company does on purpose. I have watched a video from a former LV employee and she said that it was pretty hard to buy an item with an employee discount, apparently items only go up for sale occasionally and a lot of the items are damaged, odd colors, or things no one wanted. She said one item literally had a tear that was listed. She also said the pay was pretty terrible. Honestly if it is new and non damaged and an employee is only able to buy 1 or 2 a year I don’t think it should be stamped. I think in this case it should be more like an employee bonus especially if they are hardly paying people enough to survive. If the stamp is disclosed and the bag is heavily discounted then I can see buying a bag like this if you are planning to use it everyday and not resell it.
I agree with you. This info should have been disclosed when the bag was advertised. It was misleading & I would’ve been upset as well. I just started shopping pre-loved & got burned by a popular FB group reseller. The item I bought was not as advertised & I unfortunately paid Zelle for the item. My only saving grace is that it was not too expensive, but I learned a valuable lesson! My peace of mind is not worth whatever discount I think I’m getting!!
I'm new to this, but I would think that an employee bag would be more collectible. They are more scarce and offers another indicator of authenticity. I'm into watches and cars and if either of those were stamped as an employee-owned item then they'd command a higher premium on the secondary market. I guess the bag or clothing market is different?
💯 Agree with you! ….as a designer myself I do not like the look of the stamp in the bag, and would not purchase one with this mark, however I do personally feel good that LV does this, because it lets people know their employees received a substantial discount on the bag. As for your purchase it should have been disclosed in photos as well as the description to you the consumer. Furthermore the price of the bag should also reflect the 70% discount that the employee got. PS I will say it is a beautiful bag and one thing the stamp does do is authenticate it. Hope you can find another one soon☺
This is a very interesting topic. I am intrigued because to my knowledge, current era LV employees don’t get discounted bags except maybe once a year with a specific batch of returned bags etc, although in decades past they could get big discounts on retail level bags. I am curious to your source of information on that. My understanding is they stamp all bags purchased by employees even full price so there is no issue with the employee coming and going from work with that bag. I have 1 employee stamped bag and it was in perfect condition, brand new, so I have no qualms about it. I also have a contact who works in LV repairs and he told me he would help me if there were any issues. That’s my only concern about it, is I have heard LV may refuse repairs on employee bags (which is wild to me!)
If I had been selling the bag, I may not have even noticed the Employee Stamp. However, once I knew it was there, it would really annoy me unless I had bought it at a vastly reduced price! So I think I would have also returned it. Thank you for the video! Hopefully you can find anther
Agree 100% years the you And I didn’t know they get that kind of a discount and I never knew about an employee stamp So thank you for sharing I would send it back also
I was aware that employees got discounts on bags, but wasn’t aware that they were in circulation on the resale market. So sorry that you were hoping for one that wasn’t stamped and you got what came. Very grateful the seller is honoring a full refund and return ❤
they do that to stop the employees from selling them at a profit. I do think it should have been disclosed but you said this was a bag you always wanted and you got a good price. if the bag is in great condition then what difference does it make if someone is looking in your bag that hard they should pay for it. It’s really not a big deal. Now the fact that you don’t need another bag is the issue and the reason why it should go back.😂😂😂😂😂😂
I don't get you, the handbag is perfect and sooo beautiful, no one will really see the bag has an employee discount stamp inside. Unless you are planning to sell it?? You are on crack darling, if you like the bag, just rock it. Who cares what others think. I'm sorry, I just turned 40 and longer give 2 cents about anyone's opinion. Sometimes I carry my Chanel LV Prada etc and sometimes I carry a grocery tote bag and no one really cares about the brand that you wear or carry. Not everyone will like you nor willing to be friends with you. The world is full evil and hatred. Wishing all humanity will be grateful + kinder instead of worshipping these luxury brands that don't give a flying efff about consumers. All love here.
Thank you for sharing this information. I’m confused though. Is the “scar” because of the physical mark itself or because the bag may have been defective and sold to the employee at a discount and now it’s like a taboo bag? This sounds like the scarlet letter of handbags 😂 I’m completely ignorant on the topic and that’s why I ask. Thank you
Fantastic video. I agree, I would rather not have an employee stamp in my bags either, and recently returned one to FP partially for this reason. Some resellers won't even accept bags with the dreaded stamp. It is something that should be disclosed during any sale - but I guess we need to ask to protect ourselves just in case it's not😢❤...

Thank you for the information! People can make their own decision but at least they know what to ask and what to look for!

I agree with you. And I learned something new. I did not know about the stamp.

Been a fan of you for years :) love all the content to this day!

I had no idea about this stamping situation! Thanks for posting this video! And I agree with you, it totally cheapens the bag.

Nope nope nope to employee bags. Totally understand your frustration.
Why would they think it is okay to send you an employee bag?? Unacceptable!!! Are they willing to give you 40% off to keep?
Well we don’t know if he was discounted for the purchase of this bag, he didn’t say one way or the other.

So thank you for sharing
I would send it back also
I had no idea. What a disappointment and a pain have to return and all. TFS.
I miss the JM set up! 😊. Hope it comes back! Lip gloss still on fleek thought 💪🏼
😘
I totally agree with you and think a seller should definitely let the buyer know it is an employee purchase! Not very ethical if they do not! Anita
❤️
Oh wow. I never knew! Thank you

Absolutely! TFW friend ❤️
On the plus side the stamp means it's authentic..................Tammy
Due to the fact that it is/was an employee’s item, did you pay full price for the item or did you pay a fair price for it? ( in your opinion ).
Oh that bag is definitely going back if I experienced the same thing. You want to make sure you get what you paid for and expect.
This bag gave Frankenstein anyway though lol it’s like an artisan was trying out a few things all at once.

Great video! Thank you for the info. These bags should not be sold. They should be given away.

I'm going to do a part 2 video and talk about this a little more as I've gotten a lot of questions. TFW ❤️
@@JoshieMichael thanks; looking forward to it.

I’m sorry it was a disappointment. I think I would do the same if there would be potential issues with resale in the future. TFS KIT xoxo 🤗
