Shane is basically a character with the mindset of a person in season 9 put in a season with a bunch of characters who still thought walkers still had “life” in them.
Glenn saving Rick who was stuck in a Tank and surrounded by a horde of walkers is what got me hooked to TWD a decade ago
The fact that Shane died so many seasons ago and still is above many characters shows how good his character was
