Thanks for this tutorial! Do you know if it’s possible to toggle separate effects plugins on and off with this pedal? I’m assuming it would work with Ableton’s midi mapping feature, but I’m concerned that the software interface between the pedal and Ableton could cause issues.
Hey the editing software is just for defining which Midi messages should b sent. Then you are able to set up 4 controls via MIDI Map - if you want to set up dynamic and flexible MAPings then my Advanced Midi Control Button Plugin could b interesting for you - more info on that here: ruclips.net/video/sBeKFTWN7hs/видео.htmlsi=FyjEKD1oly5sxe1f
First of all thank you for your great Ableton Max for Live devices! I have tried to pair this M-Vave midi controller input with the One button Live Looper but without success. Which Mode do you use for the M-Vave midi controller? (Programm Change A, B or C ? ) Many thanks in advance
@@jackpower182 @abletondrummer I have the same problem, but don't really understand the solution above. Please help me out. The only thing I really need is to click on "next scene" with the M-Vave Chocolate...
This one button looper looks really impressive! Well done for doing the work Ableton should be doing, i have one question before i purchase. The looper is put in a midi channel which creates ten seperate midi tracks, but what if I want to record some layers on my midi keyboard, and i want to record some shakers/claps/vocals through my microphone, can this be done? If so how, thanks for reading 😁
Hey John, thx for your interest - yep you can record AUDIO or MIDI in 'one looper' or you can set up multiple loopers and have each one dedicated to one thing e.g. one audio source/mic or one MIDI source. Due to Ableton Live's flexible track routing options there are very few boundaries!
Sorry if it's a silly question. Bought this from Amazon yesterday. Wanted to clarify something. When you say you are connected via cable, do you mean the USB? Reason I ask is because there is also a kit with midi connectors that I've seen on sale. Didn't know if that was needed or not. Any assistance will be appreciated. Thank you.
Hello Toby... I have recently got the M Vave foot controller and my primary motive to use it is to set is as Start and Stop entire live loops while I play the bass... However no matter what I do I am just not getting the right setup done... 1. If I set it up to use CC mode from the Suite, then clips stop immediately when I press the switch assigned to it. However when I press assigned play switch, it starts playing the scene and retriggers during switch release 2. If i select the Visual mode in CC, then I have to press the play button twice to make the scene start again I would really be thankful if you show give me the exact process and settings in Cube Suite Software accomplish this task...
Hey are you talking direct Midi map to clip slots (I mean are you using the native MIDI map function in Ableton Live) OR are you using my One Button Live Looper?
@@amitgadgil350 It is probably the easiest to set your M-Wave to MIDI NOTES instead of MIDI CC as Ableton Live's MIDI MAP only re-acts to NOTE ON messages.
@@abletondrummer yes.. I did a work around yesterday... With M Wave set to Midi notes, the global 'Play' was re triggered when I used to release the switch so I changed the program to Keystrokes and assigned 'Space' to switch 'A' so now I have global 'Play' and 'Stop' on a single switch!!

You would need to set it to NOTES - program change is not map able in Ableton Live (just one in total)
