It is impossible to say which voice is the best. In my opinion it is not fair asking. The three brothers had their own special voices, blending and harmonizing outrageous together. ❤❤❤
They were all unique none is better than the other, they are all equally great voices just different and even better when they harmonized together. I love all three of their voices for different songs.
Each one of their voices is unique! When combined they were unforgettable, the greatest singers of all time, no one can compare to their voices!!!!❤❤❤❤
I love all 3 voices of these brothers. Together they made beautiful ballads, pop, dance and a little rock and roll music. They'll be in their fans hearts forever. Bee Gees always 💜🎶💜🎶
I think each one of them brings something special. I love Robin in for whom the bell tolls but I love Robin in everything. Robin was brilliant. His performance in "I started a joke" is indeed a masterpiece. And of course, who could not notice Barry's extraordinary performance in making the "Tragedy" a timeless piece of art..... I am a huge fan of the Gibb Brothers and I cannot make up my mind that which one was better.
Ummm… did we forget to mention one brother who was the key to the harmony they sang? He could hit the very high notes and could sing the lowest out of all three brothers. Since he was forgotten, I will bring light to the fact that Maurice was as equally important in this equation ❤
Maurice was not forgotten, will never be forgotten. Maurice was the glue that held the Bee Gees together. He was the glue that held the brothers together. There would be no Bee Gees without Maurice. Beautiful soul, beautiful voice, beautiful man was taken from us far too soon.
My favorite is Barry. But all three have the greatest harmony. Maurice adds to it just as well. Love his part in Nights on Broadway. Loved Andy's voice too. He sounds just like Barry. My favorite song has always been To Love Somebody.
Depending on the song as to which one's voice was better for that particular song. Believe it or not there were times when I preferred Maurice's voice the best, who you never even mentioned. But then again it depended on the song. That was another part of their brilliance was to know and understand whose voice sounded best for each song. I know that all 3 of them each had an amazing, unique, gorgeous voice. Then you blend their voices together and you were taken to the heights of heaven with astounding, stunning perfection. I think that the 3 of them had pretty much the best voices out there. I love the Bee Gees, yesterday, today and forever. 💖💖💖🎶🎼🎶
Why pit the brothers against each other? They were together for the large majority of their lives and made beautiful music...all 3 of them. Let's just leave it at that.
Obrigada.
I can’t say which voice is better. They are all unique and necessary to the wonderful 3 part harmony that is their signature trademark for so many years!! Loved them in the beginning and still do to this day!!! ❤❤❤ I listen to them almost every day. They were and are the best!!! Their music stands the test of time.
I thought I liked Barry's voice the best except for his disco songs but having listened to many songs just lately I realized it is the earlier songs that are the ones I love the most. It's Robin that featured in many of these. It's Robin whose the best.
I love Barrys voice, its so versatile, high, deep, strong, smooth, clear, raspy, with vibrato and what I love most is the velvety tone. Robin's voice is too "high and shaky" for me, but fits perfectly as a counterpart in some songs when he doesn't sing a whole song alone, except Massachusetts. And of course the harmonies from all three are second to none!
I have to agree. Robin and Maurice are amazing and Robin’s voice definitely stands out as beautiful and unique, but Barry for me is #1 always. I love Barry ❤
I preferred Barry’s chest voice over the falsetto. When he growled I turned into mush. Robin’s voice makes me emotional. Maurice’s voice was gorgeous. His speaking voice was sexy. I always waited for him to join in his voice was the glue. Best Voice??? Favorite Brother??? I think I’ll pick Barry because he is humble and stoic and it seems he did a great job picking a strong wife and had terrific children. I cry for the twins and Andy.
Loved all three voices together. But if I had to choose it would be ROBIN. He had a great CLEAR voice. One of my favorites is For Whom the Bells Tolls. I personally wasn’t fond of the Falsetto voice of Barry Gibb. Preferred songs he sang in his natural voice. ❤❤❤❤❤
I found this question interesting! I immediately chose Robin, but I thought the majority might say Barry, because he's sort of the front man and does the majority of lead vocals and, of course, he's the eldest brother. But, surprise! It's Robin by a landslide! Guess I'm not alone in choosing Robin as my favorite!😃 I'd heard that Barry and Robin had kind of a rivalry, especially in their younger days, as to who was better, and who would get the most lead vocals. Each of the 3 brothers was uniquely talented, they had amazing harmonies, and only together could they achieve such fame. But I wonder if Robin ever realized that his unique voice and vibrato was the most popular! 🤔
Robin had a quivering vibrato, which some may consider as sounding different, such as a goat or being underwater. His voice added to their harmonies, but was not commercially successful on its own. Barry's voice was overall the best of the group, & is why he sang on almost every song they ever recorded. Too Much Heaven is almost all his vocals, with very few tracks by the twins. Nothing Could Be Good & Someone Belonging To Someone is ALL Barry's vocals, plus many others. Not to mention, he sang backing vocals on almost every song written for others artists (including Islands in the Stream), plus his duets. Robin never sang on any of their albums, nor was he asked to.
I don’t know why people even have to ask that question! Their voices were different and they played a very different part in the success of the group. Yes, Robin had a very unique voice, but Barry obviously was the strong one in the group. I love the solo parts that Robin played. And I loved hearing his voice, but I can’t say that he was the better one. I don’t think that we should even compare! Why do people have to tear up something good!? They were a good group - they were an excellent group, they sang a lot of songs that many of us never heard! Barry is very egotistical and he obviously Is/was the big brother. It is what it is.
To me, that question is like asking a mother which child she loves the most--it's outrageous, and ridiculous. I love all 3 brothers equally and enjoy all of their similarities as well as their distinct differences. As for a favorite song--ESP comes to mind--but, so do a hundred other of their songs--as for an album I like--I think "Mr. Natural" starts things off, with "This Is Where I Came In" ending things--but, when it comes to demos I love Barry's demo of "Eyes That See In The Dark", that he made for Kenny Rogers. No one could ever match the richness of his voice on that demo, not even Kenny Rogers.
Barry’s sweet, soulful, clear, strong, gorgeous, unique, versatile, emotion-filled voice is the one I love to hear. His falsetto was star-making, but his natural voice is just as great. Barry’s unique, amazing voice is the sound of the Bee Gees, and the one that speaks to me.

@@kthorAgreed, it's very sad that Andy went down a very dark path. But of course, it's purely speculation to say that Andy joining the Bee Gees would've "saved" him.
@@ron.lightning.9065 Considering Andy did much better when he was with Barry, there's a pretty good chance he'd still be here. Especially considering the first time Barry wanted to bring him into the group was before he developed myocarditis.
@@kthor It's possible. As we all know, anything is possible. But the Bee Gees had already performed as a trio for 30 years at the time of Andy's death, achieving great success since the '60s. I certainly don't think it's fair to "blame" the twins for their decision to remain as a trio. Andy had already enjoyed success as a solo artist. And it's not as if the twins could have predicted Andy's self-destructive lifestyle and experience with depression might spell his demise. Who's to say what "might have been" or whether adding him to the group would even prove successful? All of Andy's elder brothers were supportive of him, even writing or co-writing most of his songs. Andy was born with looks and talent, and was able to ride his brother's coattails into the limelight as a solo performer. Sadly, he made some bad choices, as many young artists do, and eventually paid the ultimate price for his fleeting fame and fortune.

I love all three voices but Barry Gibbs voice got a far more than equal crack at the whip. Probably due to record company preference. I got irked by high falsetto and having followed the Bee Gees from the 60's I knew they could do far more. I love Robins' voice no-one mentions his own floral 'falsetto' evidenced in 'Living Together' and 'Lovers' to mention two I remember but none made it off the albums. He had a lush deep tenor too. This was not much heard. I love 'Joke' more than any song followed by 'Fanny' then, 'Living Together' and 'The rain will fall'.
Barry lost his singing voice years ago...He now whispers the notes...The high notes in his falsetto were not meant to be used continually..His poor vocal cords are in bad shape and have been for at least 10 years...(I'm a vocal coach and educator) Robin, who depended on breath support and his own natural talents kept his voice to the end....There's probably a lesson there...
@@BGWhisperer I love all three brothers' voices in their prime. Maurice was usually singing the highest notes and yet his natural voice was a full-on rich baritone...Beautiful! Try maybe to catch his performance with Lulu singing First of May...It was so beautiful!
@@pamelathompson1216 I love Barrys natural baritone voice Before the Disco/Fever days! I Wish he had ditched that dang falsetto Years Ago.
What no one has mentioned is that when they all sang together at once,it was hard to tell whose voice was singing what. The voices were that similar.
Barry had a naturally great voice, as well. Barry’s also an old man now, so… No one has the same voice by the time they reach 77.
It was Never pleasing to my ears, and I'm sure it contributed heavily to wrecking Barry's voice. Yes, age and can thicken and add wear and tear to the vocal cords, but I don't think to the extent of Barry's vocal decline??🤔
