Nico said that him and Kevin had bloody feet at the end of the choreography. Also, did you notice the "one-shot" when they came down the stairs the last time? And the drums were literally sitting in a pool...I give it a 10/10. These guys have never missed IMO.
Since the release of this video my mind is really running around looking for songs EC could cover. As someone said in a reaction: We NEED a cover album by EC! What is love, Herz an Herz, Hymn, ... there are endless possibilities.
Watched the video Tauri Reacts put up. Sure she mentioned starting a petition for Electric Callboy to cover all the mid 2000s ibiza style dance tunes 😂
I love it, if german bands givin good vibes to the world, I feel proud, espacialy for elecric callboy. This band and me got a history, years ago. Good old emotime.🖤 Nico fits in so well in this band, but Sushi was also a great singer. Btw NRW🔴🟢⚪️
It was frenetically good!!! I don't know when they had time for it? They recently finished their European tour. They are currently performing at summer festivals. Nico recently released a track with Samurai Pizza Cat (not bad either) and then made everyone's hearts skip a beat with Kalle, a retro style song called Meine Buffalos. In the meantime, the guitarist also wrote the hit song "Rentnersong" for Kalle, and a video was shot for both. I admire them and love their always cheerful and positive attitude!!! I hope they will "entertain" us for a long time and not burn out!!!
You two are the best, it´s inredible to see how much fun you have with this. Love your reactions. Electric Callboy are super awesome 😁🤘 Greetings from Germany 😊👍
This is now a bromance song. ❤ The clapping at the end should sound just as wrong as it sounded. It's not a handclapping anymore. 😂 Kevin said this shoot was a pain in the ass. The shoes were like razor blades and the feet really bled. Side note. I think they were all in the middle of the tour and shot the video in the middle of it. That means their equipment here in the video would not be the usual. That's why he don't have a pink guitar.
Yea, Tauri Reacts mentioned it in her reaction as well that the handclapping at the end just sounded wrong. My mind didn't go there till she mentioned it but it sure sounded like some flesh other than hands smacking into each other.
I think there is more to it. Notice everyone except Nico and Kevin were all wearing black (and slippers!) and using black instruments inside the castle, but when they were outside the band wore colourful shirts and had different instruments.
I love seeing that spark on Chels' face at around 4:02 after the lift, almost to tears of joy. Makes me happy seeing others so moved by music! (Especially silly music :P)
While this is the first cover with the current lineup, with their original singer Sushi, Electric Callboy covered California Girls by Katie Perry, Cinema by Benni Benassi & Skrillex (my favorite one) and Tearing up my heart by N’Sync (under the title Baby (T.U.M.H.) Meanwhile Nico’s old band To the Rats and wolves (seriously underrated) covered Kesha’s Die Young and “anywhere for you” by John Martin (that was a big hit in Europe but isn’t known in the US, he’s mostly known for singing on Swedish house Mafia’s don’t you worry child)
@@MatandChelsReact yes also their originals too. While the Sushi era of Electric Callboy and his current project Ghostkid has gotten more attention in the wake of EC’s recent success (and rightfully so) To the Rats and wolves still tend to get overlooked despite also being very good. They featured Nico alongside screamer Dixi Wu (he’s in EC’s “Crystals” music video painted black), had a similar electrometal sound but mostly more serious and a little bit poppier (moreso on their last album), they toured with Electric Callboy a few times and even did a song (Kill the DJ) with Kevin and Sushi. Coincidentally they broke up in early 2020 shortly before Sushi left Electric Callboy, with both bands releasing divisive albums in 2019 that largely shifted from their original sound due to creative differences. The splits seemed to worked out in the long run since Nico joined EC with spectacular results while two other TTRAW members now play in Ghostkid. For to the Rats and Wolves songs You should check out Suburban Romance, Blackout, Riot, and Starting Over, all of which have cool cyberpunk music videos, and Cheap Love, which sounds just like modern day Electric Callboy complete with a humorous video starring a French bulldog that deals psychedelic drugs.
5:56 Saw your faces and I knew you were thinking about something different.😂 ❤❤❤ for your reaction and the knowledge about the cover of the cover. Maybe you'll remember of "Moonlight shadow" by Mike Oldfield. It was Maggie Reilly who sung that and the original of "Everytime we touch". And yes the chorus stays in the head.
Absolutely the most amazing live show I have ever seen fun the music was on point ..high energy ...comedy .... electric callboy is the cure for depression
These guys truly have the “Midas Touch”. Everything they touch turns to gold! And I hadn’t heard the original either by Maggie Reilly. Good track, I can see why Cascada did a rendition of it, and why EC did a cover of Casscadas version. Solid track that can be taken in a number of directions and EC executed that perfectly!
The cover and the video are so amazing. One song i can imagine for a EC-cover could be the Dance-Version from "Total Eclipse of the heart" from 2001 by Jan Wayne or from the same artist "Because the night"
These guys were awesome at Download Festival with a 14 song set , they packed out the 3rd stage tent ( luckily got a good spot to see them), a great singalong and dance by the crowd as also packed outside tent.
Nice reaction as always. By the way, the person in the bed during the opening scene wasn't Kevin but a woman. I guess, you know her because it was the beautiful railway guard who made the train announcement in the song Tekkno Train...
This is one of my favorite covers ever, I just love them so much and I absolutely agree with Matt I think Nico should definitely keep the beard and the stache he looks really good 🔥. I think it would sound amazing if they would cover "Everybody" from Backstreet Boys or maybe "Crazy" or "Toxic" from Britney 🤣.
you both really deserve an EC concert. I can see with every song how the music picks you up and I hope and treat you that you can celebrate it live some day.
@@MatandChelsReact I don't know where you live in America, but just the fact that I understand you quite well and you don't speak a dialect as if you had socks in your mouth makes me assume that you don't live on the edge of civilization. 🤣 Maybe it will work sometime. 👍👍
This sh!t totally makes your day, doesn't it? Loved your surprised faces, fun reaction. Thanks guys! Oh, and what they should cover next: Total ecplise of the heart? :D
The venue is Schloss Rothestein in Hesse, Germany. It is a late nineteenth century neo-gothic pile built by a theater producer and it shows. It is a wedding venue for hire now.
Have you seen their acoustic set of the Tekkno Tour? I think they should do a full version of it, it's so beautiful. Or a whole 90's dance and love songs cover EP.
Man, I swear, the metal community is so polarizing. On the one hand, there are gatekeepers who think that incorporating screams into anything is blasphemy. And then there are wholesome people like you two who just vibe and have fun. Also. There's nothing stronger in this world than the love between two straight men. 😂
It's literally a TEKKNO version and not a Techno Version. The breakdowns sound A LOT like the ones from Tekkno Train and Pump It, head nodding (We Got The Moves), Kevins first and faster part definitely inspired by Spaceman, Nico's vocal filters from Arrow of Love & Neon, dance choreo (Hypa Hypa) and I swear, the dancers are black because of Mindreader :D
FYI: Cascada's (2000's) song wasn't a real cover, because Maggie (90s) agreed for Cascada to use her chorus (and the title), the rest of the song is very different...
Id love to see their twke on sweet dreams. Marilyn Manson did a cover where he slowed the song way down and used lots of vocal fry. EC could go a whole different direction to make it theirs.
I think they try a connection between metal an 80s/90s music-style......in Germany it is going through the roof because the style of music is unique and "new".... :)
I love this cover and Cascadas interpretation of the original, BUT: Maggie Reilly's song is very nice in my opinion too! Just a total different vibe but sweet and wholesome. 😎😛😉
Damnit! I’m old enough to remember the original and loved it then.,. That being said. Don’t headband with a cigar in your mouth or you’ll burn your hair….
This song is 100% showcasing the Kevin/Nico bromance. No doubt about it
Best bromance anthem for the best of bromances.
A german reactor (Braindamage) already suggested that they should do an entire Cover Album and I'm absolutely for that.
We agree with them!
Absolutely
Nice 🫶🏼

Dancing in those shoes we can only imagine how bad their feet hurt!
"What is love?" Haddaway, that'd break the internet!

Mat… MAY I HAVE THIS DANCE?
ABSOLUTELY! ❤
Watched the video Tauri Reacts put up. Sure she mentioned starting a petition for Electric Callboy to cover all the mid 2000s ibiza style dance tunes 😂
This song slaps so much, I love the original and they made it so much better
You know the song, performed by Maggie Reilly?
Lol..I knew some one would. Cascada might not be the OG but she certainly made it hers.
@@kengray1663 Cascada (vocalist: Natalie Horler) only used the chorus from Maggie
You can be the most hardcore metalhead but this song just pierces right through all the hard shells and touches you.
So well done.
Instrument changes and wardrobe changes for the rest of the band. I love the Titanic pose in the dance sequence in the middle. They own this song now.
