Well, this GB Micro with it's speaker booster accessory is certainly better than the Game Gear Micro with the magnifier accessory! The speaker booster is worth the money in my opinion. If I still had my GB Micro I would purchase one as well along with an EZ Flash cart! The EZ Flash cart is actually the accessory upgrade that allows the GB Micro to play GB and GBC games.
The faceplates for the micro come off with a special tool that presses simultaneous on two holes on the side. I think yours comes off that easy because there is something broken on the latches in the case.
Recently found my old game boy advance SP, replaced the battery and it still works flawlessly, I used to play it all the time when I was younger, I’m so glad I managed to find it
The EZ flash Omega doesn't come with ROMs stock, you have to add your own typically. It also has a bunch of cool theming options. Great device, would recommend
@@maximkonechno8742 Or, buying an emulator handheld that doesn't need a flash cart. Hell, my old PSP could do everything the new ones do up to ps1 and it worked flawlessly(15? years ago?)
That was the best disclaimer of ROMs I've seen. 😂 Funny video, wish I'd picked up that console when it was on deep discount. Definitely do the Dreamcast.
I remember the days when GBA micros were on sale for next to nothing because everyone wanted a DS, gutted I didn't buy some at the price they were going for, they were 30 quid
Loved his reaction at the very end when the front plate falls off. There’s a guy in England who does custom front plates he’s got 2 on his website Gameboy shack. Should check him out. I’ve got one of his designs and I love it
Thanks man! Too bad the shipping costs are way to high, for me. The boo faceplate look awesome. (edit) Just found them on AllieExpress for half the money and no shipping! woop woop thanks for pointing these out. You sent me on a quest and I succeeded ;) hahaha
Great video, especially the end. Sadly got rid of my GB Micro recently after having no income for 6 months. Needed to make a bit of money, so it had to go. Regretting it already, but hopefully will pick one up again one day.
I’m planning on buying one myself, but I have one concern. Will my gameboy micro get scuffed/ scratched the moment I slide it into the metal speaker grip? Mind you, my gameboy micro is in mint condition.
I love the micro, I must add to my collection, but woooi that accessorie price has got some weight to it. Go back 10 years ago I saw a GB micro for £5, and like a clown I choose to not get it because it was without a charger. I must have been out of my mind and I kick myself every time I see one😢. @@miguelsebastiao88 They were selling for 100+ since they launched. You just found someone that thought it was worthless. GBmicros have always been rare and expensive.
I can't help but notice the battery inside the EZ Flash cartridge. Seems a bit odd considering it uses a micro SD to store ROMs, negating any need for battery saves. I'm guessing that's to run the clock for Pokemon games and the like. I've also heard that a lot of similar devices come with code on them that locks them out after X amount of time so you have to buy a new one. Do you know if that's true of your model?
Dont know where you got that ezflash omega from cuz mine did not come preloaded with anything, not even an sd card, i have a 128gb sd card in mine, and yes i know, its far beyond overkill lmao

How To Play Game Boy Games And Game Boy Color Games On Game Boy Micro With Ever drive X5 Gba Cartridge With SD card With Original Gameboy Games and Gameboy Color Games
Great video !! I LOVE the Game Boy Micro, and i LOVE the EZ-Flash IV Omega cartridge :-D I have an original silver Game Boy Micro and a DigiRetroBoy + two EZ-Flash IV Omega cartridges. The EZ-Flash IV Omega is for me better than the GBA Everdrive. Because the EZ Flash IV Omega have nearly the same functions of the Everdrive at a lower price. And it fits all GBA's and Nintendo DS/DS Lite without stiking-out from the cartridge slot. The only real downside is that the EZ-Flash IV Omega consume more energy than a standard cartridge or common flash cartridge (including the Everdrive).
Nice review! I don't have a GB Micro anymore, I regret getting rid of it several years ago. I did however just ordered myself a new blue Revo K101 Plus. It represents a GB Micro with a 3 inch display. I also ordered myself a Powkiddy X20, it may be Powkiddy's first actual attempt at a PS Vita knockoff.
The Ez Flash is good but I think the Everdrive is better. The EZ has a higher power drain and sometimes can corrupt saves if you don't wait a few seconds after saving to turn the GBA off
Pimping the Dreamcast would make for a excellent video, loved that console and the wealth of accessories available could make a video on the scale of the pimp my GameCube
