It appears a revision of the August 2023 NRL22 COF (v2) was released before this video was recorded. It appears to clarify that on the pyramid stage, if you cannot reach the top rung, you will skip the top rungs and then the last two shots will require you to work your way back up the *RIGHT* side after you reach the bottom right rung.
Jonathan thank you for this COF review. It helped quite a bit for me. I noticed this COF was probably the most stable or the season so far. Very enjoyable.
If you use the tripod for rear support run your plate bag further out. That'll give you a longer fulcrum and aid in speed as you don't have to saw the rifle in/out as much. Love your videos man. I don't shoot 22 matches yet (just center-fire) but I'm looking at dabbling into it. My local range that's 5 minutes from my house goes out to 200 and I think it would be perfect for some PRS/NRL matches. I actually gave a presentation on it tonight so hopefully soon we will be running matches.
No offense to anyone who likes them but I don't believe Tripods should be allowed to shoot a match with. They're about as unnatural an element in shooting a rifle with as can be, jmo. Just good for spotting bullet holes or hunting and that's it for me.
"Bipod may be used but must only touch the prop utilized for that position. E.G. if shooting from the tire position, bipod may not touch the roof." So yes, if shooting the tires, bipod cannot touch the roof. But when shooting at the top of the roof top, then bipod may touch as the roof itself is the prop for that position.
Hey Jonathan, what wraps are you using for the lower legs on your inverted tripod? And do you know the diameter of the lower legs off the top of your head?
Are you running the standard length Ckyepod or PRS short size and why did you go with that size? I’m looking to pick up a one of the single pulls and would love your opinion.
I run the standard. I went standard because I would never make use of the short end of the PRS. That being said, I wish I got the double pull. I handled the double pulls other people have and the extra weight is negligible and having the extra height is very useful.

Look forward to your videos every month. Thanks
Keep it up. Always great information.

Great breakdown as always. Huge thanks for sharing!

I hope your range members thank you often for your hard work.
Tripod can be used fully deployed so no need to extend the legs on the clock. Saves a bit of time.

thought I saw in another video that the bipod can't touch the rooftop. Check my memory

Dump the bipod on stage 4. Just bag it

@@ocabj Thanks for the reply. I ended up getting the standard. Great for what I need and I will likely end up getting a triple later on.
