Hearing all this interesting lore about the ships of the Clone Wars and Galactic Civil War really makes me weep for the Sequel Trilogy's complete lack of interesting vehicles or warfare.
right? I mean, the Mandator IV, the Raddus (both of which are dead by the second movie btw), and the new rebel- sorry, _resistance_ bombers are absolute shit
@Gaius Wyrden on the wiki it's always about how well armored and shielded ISDs are, but in the movies they might as well be paper mache. We desperately need some power comparisons in the next movie, either seeing an old isd fight the new ones and losing, or seeing something else that we can immediately see requires a large amount of firepower
@Gaius Wyrden The thing that made ISDs intimidating to me, at least in A New Hope, was how fast they were, especially for their size. Obviously as seen in TLJ, that is no longer an issue.
Because it was in the Imperial Capital Ships video. We've not seen the Nebulon-B in the Imperial video because it's been already done in the Rebel video. Same scenario here.
In Republic commando 2 acclamators rip apart a lucrehulk (with lowered shields that is) and they are equipped with capital ship grade heavy proton torpedos. Sure, they aren't ships of the line, but they aren't weak transports either. There is a reason they are called "Assault" ships.
I know the Ventor class was out dated during the rebellion. I still think it would have been awesome for one being used to launch hundreds of X-wings, A-wings and Y-wings . And have it being used like our Aircraft carriers. Launching strikes from a distance rather then trying to Duke it out ship to ship.
But the Ventor would work great for the rebels. Mobile aircraft carrier launch strikes while staying mobile so the empire has a hard time tracking them down
Also! Some news for anyone who plays Nojembre's submod for Republic at War (RaW). I joined his Twitch stream yesterday to give suggestions and bug reports. It's really coming along, and will be a great improvement on an already amazing mod for SW: Empire at War (Forces of Corruption).
New information has said that if the ship is carrying V19s it can't also fit V-Wings or Eta-2s, The V-Wing+Eta2 compliment needs the fighters to be stacked. Even folded V-19 is wider than a V-wing is long and longer than it is wide. Plus the folded up wings mean it can't stack.
I always thought...if the Venator was such a superb carrier, what would happen when you'd pair it with droid Starfighters? Imagine seeing a lone Venator in a System thinking it's easy pray until it unleashes hundreds of hundreds Vulture and Hyena Droids.
oh it's quite a dangerous foe, i had a discord roleplay where i had hunted down a captured Venator only for Tri-Fighters and Hyena Bombers to swarm my taskforce

I figured that in the Battle of Ryloth the Acclamators had their Particle Shields directed forward to cut down on air resistance and weren't expecting the more hidden Anti Air proton bomb mass driver cannons, hence the lucky shot knocking out an engine.
Well, you can’t really do Resistance, New Republic, and First Order next. There’s barely anything there to talk about. How about Old Republic and Sith Empire?

Well the rest of the resistance fleet hasnt really been flushed out the movies still been ongoing there must be still new ships that would be introduced by the the of rise of skywalker
@@jigolocana7492 Same goes for the First Order. They do have some obscure ships like the Maxima A class heavy cruiser, which is essentially a star destroyer mixed with a modern day aircraft carrier.
Quick correction, consular class was never a gunboat, the ships in the clone wars were fighter screeners, yes, but they were new ships built on the frame of the consulars, the did not have the front seperatable module, were properly armed and and armoured and had their living and office space swapped for storage and power generation do the laser canons and the frontal light turbo laser. I believe they were called sentinel class but might be wrong.
The Pelta class is inspired by the shield held by Light Infantry in Ancient Greece. It’s not ‘Pita’ in the pronunciation. You also forgot the Arquitens Light Cruiser
I understand the republic mood utilised their navy but they had decent ships. If they used the victory as a main line destroyer complemented by venators as heavy carriers then they would have faired better in battles. Consulars and peltas and arquitens should have been used more as escorts for venators or to help break blockades with the acclamator.

Rey’s PARENTage and Leia’ hug revealed .... @JJAbramsoficial has previously stated that “Rey’s parents are not in @StarWars Episode VII,” he told the audience. “So I can’t possibly say in this moment who they are. But I will say it is something that Rey thinks about, too.” I do not believe Abrams was lying when he made this comment, rather a clever pay on words, or word rather. That word being ‘parents’, plural. I believe Rey’s parents are not in The Force Awakens, however I do believe that a parent, singular, of Rey did appear. JJ Abrams made this train of thinking more concrete when he later clarified that comment, telling EW, "What I meant was that she doesn't discover them in Episode VII. Not that they may not already be in her world." When asked about how she thinks she’ll feel after the answer is revealed regarding Rey’s parentage, Daisy Ridley replied “I thought a lot was answered in The Force Awakens. Then after the screening I went for a drink with my agent and everyone, and we were chatting away and I realized that oh, in their minds it’s not answered at all!”. Now this comment paired with JJ Abrams statements further fuels that the answer to Rey’s parents or parent has been in front of us the whole time. So, keeping with only the characters that have made an appearance with the 7 Episodes thus far, I have concluded that LOR SAN TEKKA is Rey’s father and here is a few reasons why, not mentioning the obvious fact that he is the TFA version of Obi-Wan Kenobi in Episode IV New Hope which would be too easy; Beginning with the opening scroll of Episode VII The Force Awakens a portion of it reads “Leia has sent her most daring pilot on a secret mission to Jakku, where an old ally has discovered a clue to Luke’s whereabouts…” From the movie we come to know that this ally is Lor San Tekka. Not much else is mentioned of who this character is prior to his small amount of screen time and even quicker death, which I believe is going to be one of the biggest death thus far in the saga. With the help of Wookieepedia is said that Lor San Tekka, a member of the Church of the Force, is a legendary traveler and explorer which was somewhat mentioned in The Force Awakens when he told Poe, “I have traveled too far and seen too much to ignore the despair in the galaxy”. It is also said that he is an ally of Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker and his sister Princess Leia Organa, San Tekka helped Luke Skywalker, the last known Jedi Knight at the time, seek and recover secret Jedi lore that the Empire had attempted to destroy/erase. Hmmm, since the Empire was trying to destroy and not obtain these lores, I wonder would someone affiliated with that faction consider it “junk”. It also mentions that he also came to know Ben Solo, the son of Organa and ‘the smuggler Han Solo’, interesting choice of words there. “Han Solo, the Rebellion General? No! The smuggler” wonder where or whom she learned that from? Keeping in mind that Kylo Killed Lor San Tekka within the small village on Jakku, and is now presumably “in a pauper's grave” wink wink, Maz Kanata’s message to Rey helps fuel this theory when she says "Dear child, I see your eyes - you already know the truth. Whomever you are waiting for on Jakku, they're never coming back”. Sounds like she not only saying that death has come for the person(s) but the part of “whomever you are waiting for on Jakku..” can serve as a double entendre for the obvious and the person is located on Jakku. Keeping in mind Wookieepedia’s background of Lor San Tekka and his beliefs it is not too farfetched to believe that once he obtained a partial map to the First Jedi temple, not Luke Skywalker, that his inquisitive nature kicked in, maybe he made this journey with a small child which would help clarify why when Kylo reads Rey’s mind in The Force Awakens he sees that she “Imagine an ocean...I see it...I see the island”. Assuming that this island being Ac-To which is pretty much confirmed in The Last Jedi when Rey enters the first Jedi temple and says “I know this place… Only in dreams”. In dreams or in memories of a young child? In the deleted scene: Jakku Message- General Organa is informed that the Jakku village is wiped out and that Poe’s X-wings was also destroyed. Knowing that deleted scene and the fact that she sent Poe on this mission it is safe to assuming Poe would inform General Organa of Lor San Tekka’s death once he returns to the RESISTANCE base in his debriefing, which would fully explain the most glaring plot hole of the ENTIRE Skywalker saga and that is why Leia would be hugging Rey, someone she has assumingly never met before, or so we’re led to believe up to this point, and it is because she knows that Rey she has just lost her father and by the hands of her own son none the less GASP. Which will make for an even greater plot twist once she finds out Episode IX, maybe in a force flashback, not only who her father is/was but that Kylo Ren was the one to kill him. Now back to the directors, yes directors being plural! In an article with Rolling Stone in regards to Rey’s parentage it was mentioned that ‘However, coming up with the answer to the Rey’s parentage question was tackled with independence from both J.J. Abrams and Last Jedi writer/director @RianCJohnson. In a new profile in Rolling Stone, Abrams says he told Ridley the answer while they were making The Last Jedi, but he didn’t force Johnson to be beholden to his answer:’ Unlike almost everyone else in the world, Ridley has known for years who Rey’s parents are, since Abrams told her on the set of The Force Awakens. Ridley believes that nothing ever changed: “I thought what I was told in the beginning is what it is.” Which is odd, because Johnson insists he had free rein to come up with any answer he wanted to the question. “I wasn’t given any directive as to what that had to be,” he says. “I was never given the information that she is this or she is that.” In the end, Johnson’s answer was the same as Abrams’s, which Rolling Stone rightly points out probably means it’s pretty obvious. Or maybe not. They also state that Abrams “cryptically” hinted that he and Johnson had more coordination than Johnson let on. I think what Johnson was stressing here was that he was not forced to use Abrams’ answer to Rey’s parentage, but the two likely discussed it at some point. Via Rolling Stone Daisy Ridley confirms the above by stating ‘Whatever the answer, I just hope that the moment everyone finds out is an enjoyable experience for viewers.’ She continued, ‘And, though I have known the answer for several years now, the series that Rian Johnson created has turned out to be spectacular beyond even my imagination. To be honest, I was very moved. I think it will be a moving moment for everyone else as well.’ JJ Abrams also gave the following statement “I will say that we knew going into this that this movie had to be a satisfying conclusion, and we’re well aware that [Rey’s parentage is] one of the things that’s sort of been out there. I don’t want to say that what happens in Episode VIII-you know, we’ve honored that. But I will say there’s more to the story than you’ve seen.” If you bring this with the fact that Rian Johnson mentions how he asked JJ to replace BB-8 with R2-D2 to accompany Rey to Ach-To this suggests that the directors have been on the same sheet of music, que John Williams, from the very beginning and with the help of @Disney and @Lucasfilm have deliberately been doing a whole misdirect this entire time because having one director with all these bread crumbs would be too easy to follow.
@@Deridus I don't believe the Necrons are well equipped and have enough resources to beat the Forerunners.
Via Rolling Stone
Daisy Ridley confirms the above by stating ‘Whatever the answer, I just hope that the moment everyone finds out is an enjoyable experience for viewers.’ She continued, ‘And, though I have known the answer for several years now, the series that Rian Johnson created has turned out to be spectacular beyond even my imagination. To be honest, I was very moved. I think it will be a moving moment for everyone else as well.’
JJ Abrams also gave the following statement “I will say that we knew going into this that this movie had to be a satisfying conclusion, and we’re well aware that [Rey’s parentage is] one of the things that’s sort of been out there.
Oooh there's the victory
Republic number one.
No Arquitenes? That’s one of my favorite ships from the Clone Wars era
Isn't the C-90 Corvette Technically a Republic ship?
I'm pretty positive that Kuat is pronounced coo-aat
Nah it's Kuwait
It's pronounced coo-aat in X-Wing Alliance, I believe.
@@chrissonofpear1384 also pronounced that way in SWTOR.
The Acclamator had Around two dozen quad turbolazers
You forgot the arquitens class and I think the nebula class, correct me if I’m wrong though.
Are all these ships canon?
Continue with the clone wars series
4:47 a Sith Lord?
what is the need for a pre-fabricated base? Isn't any armed starship capable of atmospheric operations already de facto a base if it simply lands?
Can you do the Forerunners vs Necrons from Warhammer 40k?
Necrons win. Not just because "40k," but because the Forerunners are dead. The Necrons, of course, are also dead and yet...
@@Deridus
What?
@@thorshammer7883 just saying that if there were a full scale war between the two, Necrons would win.
@@Deridus
I don't believe the Necrons are well equipped and have enough resources to beat the Forerunners.
The Forerunners have multiple types of ships that are huge like the Forerunner Fortress Class Dreadnought which is designed for war, they had a massive military and had over 3 million systems with many megastructures.
@@thorshammer7883 the Necrons can phase out of this dimension, can't die, and literally rebuild themselves when destroyed. They may not have the numbers that they once had, but they are still legion. They also have Trezyn the Infinite...
Do ground vehicles
well I never knew that the victory originated from the Republic..
The more you know
The Imperator Class Star Destroyer also known as Imperial 1 Class Star Destroyer was also a republic vessel however it was very late and debuted around the outer rim sieges, battle of coruscant time
Wow, he remembered his name this time
Moral of the story if any government says to disarm in any way shape or form...dont
I think you forgot the Arquitens
We did it for the empire episode
Generation Tech completely forgot, my mistake
With the questionable size figure?
Nobody:
Eckharts: *THE VENATOR IS THE BEST CAPITAL SHIP*
Didn't he say the Nebula is? Lmao
What about the Arquitens?🥺🥺🥺
MY GUY HAS A CHRISTMAS TREE
Why no Arquintence?
These clone numbers must be way off. It must be a quarter of a million units, not a quarter of a million clones; you could transport all clones in two full acclamator ships if the latter was the case.
Weird why there were no tank tops a Long Time Ago In a Galaxy Far Far Away, right?? I'm just saying...
