I counted 14 League Two winners that have gone on to play in the Premier League, unfortunately my team, Carlisle isn't one of them, although they did make the old Division One back in 1974.

@@Exposure-tc4xt Sure, but if you finished 2nd to whatever place you is in National League (unless it was relegation spot), you still have chance for the title next season.
League Two meanwhile, have two extra automatic promotion place. So, if you landed on the second or third or won the play-off, you must wait for next season as you got promoted. Sometimes, and unlike National League, level of playing between the bottom half of League 1 and top League 2 is very equal, so most promoted clubs will likely to survive the League 1.
In the other word, to win League Two, the club has to be very good and have some luck.
