I do still prefer the Genesis version, but I really do think that it still sounds nice, even with such a wildly different sound chip.

This one is way, WAY better than the Emerald Hill zone remix. Still pretty funky!

I was sure SNES had a way to pitch bend, as the Genesis version of this does in the section before the loop
It does but these remixes are old and back then there were issues with pitch bending and soundfonts with the software used. Could also be lack of experience :)

It could actually be closer, as the SNES uses a sample based music system with a slight soundfont. But when people think of SNES remixes, it's just the smw soundfont, which is fine. Just a slight nitpick!

I am confused by some of the trivial changes. Why is there like only 3 colors in the fonts? why is sonic missing over half his frames? Why do the monitors look nothing like the original? Surly these things would not have been an issues in a version of the game that has not been fitted for a cart yet.
Did anyone else notice that this version is a half step above the original? The original is in F sharp while this is in G

I think the genisis sound better since factories are fully automated machines and genisis has that electronic sound . But this still sounds good

All the people debating whether or not this sounds or looks better than the original are really missing the point.
The city in the background now looks like a city because the orange colour made it look like it was on fire so the blue looks better

If you’re wondering why I say it’s a fake well the SPC 700 Soundsystem for the SNES uses samples so you could have like genesis samples and it would be just a re-creation of the original

There are only two Sonic games I know of that are available for the SNES. One of them being "Sonic the Hedgehog" A.K.A "Sonic the Hedgehog 4", which is actually just a bootlegged/hacked version of "Speedy Gonzales: Los Gatos Bandidos". And the other game being "Sonic the Hedgehog 2", another hack/boot, this time, it's of Sparkster.
(Also, both of them were made by the Twin Eagles Group.) :p

Its got that SNES charm but its trying too hard to sound like genesis. It would be way better if it tried to sound more friendly to the SNES Midi.
