This might be one of the funniest and most useful videos I've found on RUclips. Thanks for the help and the humor!
Haha thank you and you're welcome! Please subscribe. Making new videos soon.
After an hour of pulling staples with pliers and a block of wood for better leverage I found your video. One quick trip to the hardware store and my back and wrists are thanking you.
Glad to hear! Thanks for watching and please subscribe
Brilliant idea. Really works. Plus, by the time a project goes to hell and you have to go to RUclips for help, a funny video helps cut the tension.
Worked on an 80 year old hardwood floor.
Thanks!!!!
Thank you so much!! Means a lot. Please subscribe for more :)
You rock! You saved me a ton of time and wrist soreness. Hats off to you
Thank you! I've just pulled up the carpet and now...staples! Thank the gods I found your video.
Glad you enjoyed!!
Thanks dude, saved us a lot of time by purchasing the right tool. Well done!
Dear God... I just pulled carpet off my stairs. The carpet guy must've owned a staple company too. No shortage of staples used😫thank you for this video. Home hardware here I come!
I wish you the best of luck man! Haha. Just throw some awesome music on and crank it out. Please share and subscribe:)
This worked amazingly well. I am reupholstering a chair and I used the end cutters. Some of the staples were too close to the wood to get a grip on so I used a nail tack lifter to raise them a bit then pull them out with the end cutter. Nice.
Thank you for watching! I am glad you were able to take something away from it. Please subscirbe and let me know if you have ideas for future videos.
Thank you. You probably understand how thankful I am. This is my second project. Thank you.
You da man!! That tool saved me hours. Thank you!!
Short, full of useful info, humor, love the diy with your Batman voice. Good video. Thank you
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed:)
Worked awesome!!!!! I can see why some people would say they only cut the staples. It also depends what kind of wood they are in. I was lucky with old pressed particle board so they came out relatively easy
+Sean Easton Glad it worked for you!!!:)) please subscribe and share this video.
And thanks to your advice I was able to do my entire kitchen floor w staples! All done!
+Jessica Bello So happy to hear that!!
Great video! Thanks, Roger
BRUH!!! Thank u so much! DIY me was about to give up, but u made me laugh and taught me something new. Might get this floor in today thanks to u!
Fun video .
Well done .
Thank you for making pulling staples funny,!
Haha you're welcome! If you could subscribe that would be awesome.
Thanks for the laugh, I needed it after pulling up flooring (not done yet)...on my way to buy a pair of end cutters!
this is freakin hilarious and helpful !!! I need you to do a video for more DIY things around the house, it makes all this annoying work, worth it !! :)
Name it and I'll do it!
@@SethTerwilliger haha OK anything plumbing related, especially trying to fix a leak, with crappy CPVC pipe, typically found in Maronda homes, they are cookie cutter homes and I had 2 pipes burst in cold winters in Pittsburgh, and they crack and break so easily if you apply too much pressure... plumbers hate them, I hate them, everyone hates them !! 😂😂
So funny and educating. Thank you!
Thank you
brilliant surrounded by brilliance thankee
much props to you and this video, it saved me a mental breakdown
This was both hilarious and useful! 😁
Haha thank you!! Wouod love if you would subscribe and share to help grow my channel! :)
I bought what you recommended and also a Nail Puller by Crescent to try them both out. The Crescent nail puller has a longer handle but they seem to both work equally well.
That's awesome! Glad to hear it
Wish me luck. My staples are very close to the floor. Running out to get the end cutters. 🏃♀️🏃♀️
I wish i had found this video BEFORE i broke 3 screwdrivers!! I LOVE this!!
Haha thank you! Subscribe for more and provide additional video ideas :)
Great video i went to lowes got fence tool $17 (strange looking hock on the end) along with uphostrey removal tool to pull up those close to the floor 2 inch staples than used the fence cutters to remove them
Glad to hear you enjoyed my video!! Please subscribe and encourage others as well :)
Yes those fence pliers are great I need a pair
Okay that was actually hilarious. 😂
That was perfection.
+Lexi Logan thanks!
That music had me thinking the candy man was going to appear. So say it three times with me. CANDYMAN, CANDYMAN, CANDYMAN!!!
😜😜😜😜😜😂😂😂🤣🤣
Hey man, awesome video!
+kryptik0 Thank You!!
Thumbs up simply because of your nemesis voice.
Haha thanks! Appreciate it
Thank you! Best tip EVER!
I appreciate it!! Please subscribe
i will try this out thanks
+cathleen the yellow dog you're welcome!
I spent 6 hours pulling 1100 square feet worth of staples yesterday. End cutter pliers and fencing pliers worked the best. 2 inch staples are not fun to pull.
Glad to hear they worked! And yea my dad and I did our whole house... please subscribe for more :)
Super fun video! I'm looking for an easier way to pull those damn micro staples. I'm starting to with that they were expensive, so people would put so many on corners while putting carpets! I hate them just as much as black flies. It is official!
Stellar music
+Jessica Bello I appreciate it! :) please share
Thanks for the laugh! And thank God I have a small bathroom!!
Hahaha yeah, my dad put me up to this video but thought it turned out great! Please subscribe and share. Also let me know if you have ideas for future videos
I found that a hammer + the grip end of a file works as good as the end cutters. By grip end, I mean if you buy a file set, the handles come separate and on the files you have a narrow, thin piece that you're supposed to insert into the grip. I put that, under the staple, tap it a couple times, jerk, tap again, and they come out. This works better for staples that aren't high enough out for the end cutters to grip. The other problem with end cutters is they can cut the staple and there's that little bevel at the edge so it's harder to get staples that are closer to the wood. All I know is I can't f'ing believe how many staples some a******* used to attach that 1/8" whatever to my sub floor. A TENTH the amount would have been sufficient. It's so f'ing strenuous trying to pull these out. It should be illegal.
I told my dad what you said and he couldn't agree more! Thanks for the comment. Subscribe
After watching this video, I went out and bought an end cutter plier. While it seems to work well, about 30% of the U-shaped nails are breaking while pulling. This creates a huge problem because once cut, there is no way to pull them out. I am looking for ideas on what is the best way to use these pliers to pull out these nails.
+kryptik0 It seems like you are gripping the nail too hard. Try less pressure and more leverage to pull out the nails. Lmk if that works!
The problem is the cutting edge of the end cutters. It would have been useful to have a blunt edge.
Very true! My end cutters are old so that's probably why they worked better.
Only problem is that the staples aren't that high up which makes them easy to remove. I want to know how to remove those staples that have been hammered in the wood without damaging wood step.
Need to use a manual edger and scrap them they will pop out
actually... there was a single staple of of the staple clip problaby, and uh... its stuck inside there... i just realised it
i cant remove it since its literally all the way in
I am so sure that you will find good way to make it on woodprix.
What's woodprix?
just perfect to me Belia
Glad you enjoyed!! Please subscribe
Nice plans
Wow - THE DRAMA !
Haha thank you. Please subscribe!
Enough to make grown men cry is right! 😭😭😭
Haha glad you liked it!
My works too. Used woodprix handbooks and build it with no problems.
+Kathern Pernell I'll have to look into that and try it out
+Kathern Pernell nice!
True
Awesome plans Kathy
@@SethTerwilliger Glad you like it guys :)
LOL. I use 'Plyers'
Pliers?
+Stargazers Nation™ Nah those don't work very well! Haha

You wasted your own time. I didn't make you click on it. I made a video years ago for fun. I apologize that its not exactly what you want but I appreciate your time for watching and hope you have a great day sir.
