Visita Sinaloa, no te arrepentirás.

Im thrilled to see my hometown in your video!
Los Mochis is probably the most interesting city in northwestern Mexico. Founded by two americans at early 19th century Benjamin Jhonston and Karl Owen. Owen founded one of the worlds first Utopic Socialist Community very near there. Such project atracted people from all over the world. The socialist comunity did not prospered but the people that came stayed, and together with locals made Los Mochis what it is today. A small town filled with people from all over who know are full blooded mexicans with european, asian, arabian and american descent. everything got mixed together and made a very rich local cuisine. You gotta try it!
Wow thanks for all the info!!
My mistake. Indeed it was early 20th century
@@ricardoruypena1021 And no Karl Owen founded the city, It was Benjamin Francis Johnston. Although I know about a guy named Albert KIMSEY Owen, who founded Topolobampo.

Personally I think Sinaloa has the best food
It was delicious!!!

Obviously you never visit Sonora before-
Visit Michoacan
@@ELViejito100lmao bro Sonora cooks very similar foods like Sinaloa. Obviously you don’t know Mexican history, Sonora and Sinaloa where once 1 state known as Sinaloa but then it was split into 2 states. That’s the reason why Sonora speak like people from Sinaloa and have tortillas de harina that originated in Sinaloa as well.
Here is something you probably don't know. There were American immigrants in the Los Mochis area. The Sinaloa Pioneers migrated from Virginia to Sinaloa and founded the port of TOPOLOBAMPO and dug many of the irrigation canals in Los Mochis. Also the train route at the time of the immigrants was the shortest route from the Pacific to Chicago. Amongst the Los Mochis population you will find English and German last names.
Just like Brazilians of German descent that founded some cities in the Misiones Province in Argentina
OMG as soon as the notification popped up I stopped what I was doing to come watch this! I LOVE Los Mochis ! I’ve been waiting for a Sinaloa vlog 😂 ❤️

Have you guys been in Xalapa Veracruz yet ? Me encantas Guerita...😙😙😙
A me también!
Wait, so you've visited Los Mochis before? That's awesome!
I’m not even from that part of México but I’m so glad you guys made it to that area, not so many bloggers show us that side of the country

Saludos Hillary y Greg ; D

That particular area in Sinaloa is very rich is terms of agricultural industry. Well the whole state is well know because of that. I loved their accent it’s supper nice and funny. Well plebes lol 😂 enjoy your time in Sinaloa and have fun en El Chepe. Can’t wait to see your videos.
Thanks Claudio! thanks for coming with us!!
When I was a teen I took a bus ride from Tijuana to Guadalajara, Michoacan and Aguascalientes and by mistake into Zacatecas, first of all I was amazed at how people could sleep on the bus during the most horrible electric storms that I had ever seen. This was in July so we went from the unforgiving heat in Sinaloa up Plan De Barrancas into an incredible jungle in Nayarit full of mango trees, coconuts, papaya trees and so much much more greenery, I was in awe. I never expected that beauty, anyways you will amazed by the copper canyon on El Chepe, it is much much deeper than the Grand Canyon.
Looks delish! Looks like a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich without the bread. Aww, the baby ducks. Yep, it's spring time.

By the way, Sonora and Sinaloa used to be one state a long time ago, that’s why the regional dialects and cuisine are so similar.
Yess, I love the Sinaloense accent.
Go to Puerto Peñasco, Sonora and Mazatlan, Sinaloa
Rocky point, it is not worth it. Arizonians have taken over most condominiums and they charge top dollar for a second rate destination. I spent the same money I would have spent in Rocky point in a nice vacation in Zihuatanejo, which is ten times more beautiful. Mazatlan is nice.

I’m so glad you guys came here to Los Mochis, it’s one of the prettiest cities in México, come back again!! 🙏🏻🇲🇽
Mochis is beautiful, I’m from south Sinaloa but never been in los Movhis tho ,one time I’ll be there . Saludos from California Chicos ‼️
It really is beautiful!!

We drive through and stay in Los Mochis twice a year when driving back and forth from the US. Very nice city.
The states in the north are a little bit more similar to the United States even some of the houses are made the same way like in USA but the weather is a little bit hotter and dryer than CDMX!!!
Dryer? In Sinaloa the weather is more humid and hot only in the summer.
@@jorgesoberanes2378 you are right and I was there in summer that's the reason I wrote that commentary before!!!
Yes, the Sinaloan (and Sonoran to some extent) accent is unique and people tend to speak quite fast with a sort of rushed and “mean” sounding tone that most Southern Mexicans find intimidating. And yes, Sinaloans are loud as fudge, too.
This video proves how ridiculous it is for any media outlet or government entity to call Sinaloa "dangerous." Looks like a great place. Sinaloenses I know are very friendly.
As a metal fan i sure recognize the scorpions playing in the background 🤘
💓
Yeah, Me too!
😎🤟 Yo iba mucho a "los toquines" (SIN ALBUR)

So glad you guys enjoyed your visit to our city, I hope that the next time you come you would tell me so I can show you around with my friends!
The first time I have been in Los Mochis was back in the late 70's , My dad used to drive his RV and stay in Los Mochis while taking the ferry to La Paz & Cabo San Lucas from Topolobempo, the train to Chihuahua, Los Mochis indeed is a modern clean city in Mexico, one of my favourite places , excellent seafood and awesome people, time to go back there.
What a great músic behind, simply wonderful, thats Made My night

I'm so glad you gave Sinaloa a chance. Enjoy your stay.

In Culiacán there is the most beautiful botanic garden from mexico, moderns bridges, its a beautiful city whit not good fame you can change that!

You would love visiting San Carlos and Guaymas in Sonora. The natural beauty is unbelievable. And whales, orcas , hiking, etc.....
My family is from Sinaloa and I love spending time down there. It’s hot as hell but the food is amazing and the people are friendly and cool.
Too bad it has such a bad reputation, not only within Mexico, but also there in the States. It’s a shame most gringos avoid it when, in fact, it’s an awesome place to visit and enjoy.
Los Mochis is a very nice city, relatively. Besides having a Northern Sinaloa/Southern Sonora accent, we also speak fast which is what you were trying to get to.

There is no spring break in Mexico.. I think
But people from the US go to Mexico for spring break
@@chicanx6756 Yes there is. The kids get 2 weeks off from school, in April this year.
If you are still there in Sinaloa. Go ahead and discover the "jardín botánico" of Culiacán wich was designed by the mexican architect Tatiana Bilbao, beautiful. Or go to Mazatlán or Topolobampo where youcan ride a ferry to know the sorrounding islands.
Hey guys finally both of you did it. "Los Mochis", one step in the start gate to the Copper Canyons. Is highly recommended to visit "Mazatlan" and "Culiacan" in order to taste one of the best seafood in Mexico. 😎
Hey!! We are expats in Los Mochis! Your videos from your move to Puerto Vallarta are some of the ones we watched to gain some expat education! We would be SO EXCITED to see you guys if you come back! We can show you around and take you to the local spots with some of the best food in Mexico!
I lived in Los Mochis 8 years. That botanical garden was designed by an american Benjamin Johnson, that pergola I helped a little in the design. People are very nice and the park has many plant species. . That downtown area had a huge american colony in it. There is the Maviri beach about 15 min from downtown, topolobampo. please dont miss the "El farallon" restaurant downtown. Go to Alamos Sonora, cd.Obregon and San Carlos beach. We pride ourselves on having the best tasting food (meat and seafood) in Mexico.
If you listen to the Banda and pay attention, you’ll notice is playing a sort of waltz. This type of music became popular in the 1860s when Maximilian, an Austrian, ruled Mexico and brought his customs to the country. To this day, authentic and folkloric Bandas play waltz music.
Saludos desde culiacan sin. Bienvenidos al noroeste de Mexico. Sonora.sinaloa.chihuahua.du.rango

Finally!! I have been waiting for this for a long time. I was beginning to think you didn't want to go to Sinaloa. I am so glad I will get to see my home state through your eyes. I hope you love it. Also, LOL on your new Sinaloan accent. Can't wait to see you master it.
One last thing, I feel that some of your dishes should be tried with a Flour Tortilla, that is one of the Sinaloan ways.
I was just thinking of that bad reputation that Sinaloa has. Thanks for doing this. Gives me a different perspective than what the news show.
That’s my HOMETOWN! And you are making me hungry watching this. Les falto el ceviche fresco de mar.
The accent of people from the northern states of Sinaloa, Durango, and Chihuahua is definitely unique. I have family from there, and I speak Spanish with that accent. I hope you guys have a wonderful time exploring!

Lots of 💰 is like Texas the state of Sinaloa lots of cowboys and farmers with Texas accent but in Spanish 😁
Yep,I am from Sinaloa, lived in Seattle for like 3 years without returning to Culiacan and I go back to my city and everything is SO NEW, new construction sites, buildings, malls, huge. It's the same feeling I guess you guys have about Los Mochis, but I got the same feeling in Mazatlan as well, and I gotta say, yep, a lot of it, Narco money, sorry I had to say it lol, it's true, but I love my Sinaloa and it's safe to me :))))

Awesome place. I love the Mariposario Park.
