The MOST justified rant of ALL time C man! It’s just so ridiculous, does the owner know how humans eat. Maybe there trying to go out of business on purpose or something 😂 Loved it!
I honestly think if the guy would have been polite about it instead of so condescending this would have been a totally different video... I mean the pizza was still cold so it would have gotten a trash score but we would have been a lot nicer.
Comically angry Corey, i relate so much. This was so disrespectful in not meeting standards. Such easy fixes, and they fumbled. Having it hot and cut isn't hard to do
I feel bad when you guys have a crud experience like this, yet I can't deny that agitated Sean and pissed-off Corey are comedy gold. I went to a Chinese restaurant once where it was chop sticks or bust. No cutlery, even if you asked. I went there a few more times, take-out only.
@@CoreyAndSeanEatLocal And better yet, an honest review. Supporting local businesses is great, but you have to warn potential customers that they might have a bad experience. Hopefully someone on the staff sees this and they straighten things out.
I saw someone else comment that they go to that one and they'll cut it for you and they've never had a bad pie from there. We might have to do a redemption episode and try that spot!
What's up fellas That was a pretty damn funny video.. today is my birthday I was thinking about going to grab some pizza I'll make sure it's cut and warm lol sorry you did not enjoy your pizza but it was definitely a pleasure to watch. Keep up the good work guys
I dislike chefs that discriminate against customers that prefer well done meat. I actually enjoyed Talia di Napoli frozen Neapolitan pizza. Love your videos. I’m a Chicago native from Hyde Park living in Atlanta previously in upstate NY and even in Ottawa Ontario for a few years. I’ve eaten much pizza.
Atlanta's another super fun city! Question for ya, if we were to review 1 spot in Hyde park what would you suggest (we've done Nella Pizzeria and 7/10 socials wings and burgers)
The Mauro box was such an upswing. Thats awesome. My pet peeve is food temperature. If it is something hot, it should be hot. If its something cold, okay, it's cold. Never had the inconvenience of an uncut pizza, but have had a few sandwiches that were not cut down the middle, and those were weighty sandwiches
I've eaten a Neapolitan pizza with a knife and fork before but it was real cutlery that was provided and the pizza was very small so wasn't a big deal, but if a paying customer wants their pizza cut then the person in the place needs to put a smile on, say no problem and cut it for you. Don't work in the hospitality industry if you're unable to be hospitable and want to make sure your customer enjoys their visit and the food/experience. Sorry for long comment but I agree with you guys, great video as always :)
This is so sad because the couple times I’ve eaten inside the restaurant it’s been fantastic . And you guys never got to try it w some sixer sauce, that might have heated up the pizza 🍕🤣🤣
my pet peeve w food is honey mustard w chicken nuggets/tenders im always going for ranch also that resturant did yall wrong! pissed off Corey made my day!
Those scores are WAY too generous. This restaurant needs to go out of business! Don't care about sob stories or if this was a one off bad experience for them. They deserve to be out of business.
Epic 🍕fail. The food is disappointing, but Corey's Disdain (tm) is on POINT. I agree completely.👏👏 Food tradition I don't like: passing dishes to serve yourself at holidays. Lay everything out on the kitchen counter, buffet style. Let me take what I want without waiting for Uncle Jeff to put down his fork and send over the mashed potatoes.😆
What’s the best Neopolitan pizza in Chicago guys? My food tradition I don’t like is American cheese on cheeseburgers. The only thing good about American cheese is the name.
I don’t like cake in general, so traditionally, I’d prefer birthday pie. Cakes even at their best, are usually dry, and after getting covid, I kinda stopped liking chocolate.
I am sorry you guys had such a bad experience, but in a way I am happy that you have exposed a couple of real scams IMO. The first is West Loop in general. I am 59 and remember when west loop was skid row. I know gentrification created lots of jobs, economic development etc, but as far as restaurants go I think West loop more often than not exemplifies the kind of garbage you experienced at this place. I live in Printers Row so that is my bias on a neighborhood vibe. Also in general i think Neapolitan pizza in The US is complete BS for the price. Completely insane to pay $23 for a tiny mediocre pizza that would cost about $8 in Italy and be twice as good.
I agree with so much in this comment! Printers Row is phenomenal by the way! I made a fun vlog about Printer's Row and it just has a lot of sick local businesses that are awesome and have some depth to them. And yeah I totally agree with the west loop sentiment. I of course think the west loop has a bunch of cool stuff and great spots to eat but there is a bit of an air of superiority around that that I can't stomach all that well.
@@CoreyWagnerChicago Dude I saw your vlog on Printers Row and loved it and commented on it! The hipsters generally don't come down here and I'm fine with it. Ironically a new Neapolitan pizza place just opened here and the same $23 BS for a tiny pizza. I wish them well but I will take a juicy Pat's large for the same price any day.
@@MarkColin-e5r thanks dude! That's freaking awesome! And yeah dude I can't stand it. I mean they're good but you can just get way better value out of some other pizzas in Chicago.
I cannot stand the traditional thanksgiving/christmas/holiday meal, its always turkey mashed potatoes and gravy, green bean casserole etc. so bland and boring
Forno Rosso on Harlem is very clear and honest about take out when you call them. The pizza takes about 90 seconds to make so they usually confirm when you plan on arriving. That's too bad you got a cold pizza, it is what it is
yeah I've seen in the comments that the Harlem one is solid. Sounds like they might just be managed better there. Maybe we'll do a redemption episode and head to that location
Unless Skinny Pete works there, there is no video of them saying they won't cut it. They do cut the pizzas--in quarters. I think you asked them not to cut it to have funnier video.
